Three Founders Publishing Reviews

Three Founders Publishing is an investment newsletter service which the company has been promoting through aggressive email and online advertising campaigns.

The Company make a lot of claims and predictions about the financial markets and deem themselves experts in identifying the booming sectors of the future.

Below we take a closer look at who’s behind this company, what they offer, and if you should subscribe.

What is Three Founders Publishing?

The current publisher of the The George Gilder Report is a new brand of financial education services founded by Addison Wiggin, Doug Hill, and Bill Bonner.  Their bio states that this is a rebranding of Laissez Faire Books.

This is important to note because there are a lot of different newsletters and services associated with the founders and their parent company.

Some of the biggest ones are Agora Financial, The Oxford Club, and Laissez Faire Letter.

Three Founders Publishing follows the same business model as these past investment services.  The company retains a select group of high level experts, editors, and analysts for the publication of a variety of investment newsletters.

The level of service varies from basic subscriptions to more exclusive memberships costing thousands of dollars.

Currently, the two most popular editors on their roster are James Altucher and George Gilder, both of whom publish a variety of different newsletters across various investment niches.

Who Is George Gilder?

George Gilder has had a lengthy career in many arenas of finance; he is a notable author and investor.  In his early career he made a name for himself as a proponent of supply side economics through his book Wealth and Poverty.

Most of his books made cases for his view of the future, making bold predictions about which trends are on the horizon and what will be obsolete in the near future.

For example, one of his most recent publications, “Life after Google: The Fall of Big Data and the Rise of the Blockchain Economy,” makes a case for his view of a decentralized future.

The George Gilder Report

The promotional materials for the George Gilder Report begin by describing his forays into the world of Cryptocurrency.  Everything from its initial rise to its position now as a potential disruptor of finance as we know it.

The gist of what they’re promising is to get you in on the inside of what they believe are the prevailing tech trends of the future.  More so, all the auxiliary opportunities that are set to arise now that Bitcoin and other crypto coins are mainstream.

This includes startups that are working on things such as:

  • Augmented Reality
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Sensors
  • Blockchain
  • DeFi

They are hoping to attract investors who feel that they’ve missed out on this last wave of opportunity by laying out their expert forecast for the future.

The pitch concludes by sharing a real life example of their strategy at play.  For example, they state that a good investment is in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), a company that makes chips used in the computing processes of mining cryptocurrency.

They believe you would be investing in the technology that will be used for years in tangent with the rise of Bitcoin and not the currency itself.

Online Customer Reviews & Complaints

There isn’t much online customer feedback for Three Founders Publishing at this time.  There's only one complaint filed with the BBB regarding a refund dispute.  Currently the company is not BBB accredited.

There is feedback for The George Gilder Report on several investment review websites, where customers have left mixed reviews.

While some enjoy the newsletter’s forward thinking perspective, others didn’t find anything revelatory about the information, and found the constant bombardment of emails pushing his more expensive services frustrating.

In general, we find that most of the investment services under the Agora brand have mixed customer reviews.

Is Three Founders Publishing Worth It?

While there’s nothing wrong with seeking the advice of experts for new investment perspectives, these services should be used selectively and with caution.

Obviously the analysts at Three Founders Publishing want customers to benefit from their research, but at the end of the day they make their money from the sale of information and services, and are not responsible for when their investment predictions don’t work out.

In general, in the history of financial newsletters, very few have consistently out performed passive investments like index funds.

If you're interested in their services we’d recommend starting off with the basic newsletter subscription and doing your own due diligence on their picks and strategies.

Only after they have proven themselves should you consider their higher priced offerings.
