We bought our large freeze dryer this past summer and we absolutely love it! We live on an Organic farm and grow most of our own food. The Freeze Dryer has been a huge asset in our adventures of storing and preserving the food that we grow. Every time we take out a batch we marvel at the end product and how the food tastes so good and the fact that it has so much of the nutrition still.

Excellent machine! There’s almost nothing you can’t freeze dry. Scrambled eggs, all vegetables, fruits, full meals (thanksgiving dinner including pumpkin pie!) Egg nog! You name it. Rehydrated food tastes great and maintains 95+ % nutrition. It’s all automatic and very intuitive. Tons of YouTube videos for ideas. Utah based customer service was excellent. Prompt, courteous, responsive with follow up! Big outlay but well worth it.

The harvest right freeze dryer is a good system as long as you follow the instructions precisely. Don’t skip oil changes or else you’ll ruin the pump. Adjust the door accordingly for correct pressure. Call customer service for any help you need, they’re quick to answer usually and nice!

I purchased the midsized freeze dryer. It worked fine for the first two batches and then I got a ‘mid batch heater failure’ warning. For the next TWO MONTHS, I went back and forth with the company, waiting on return calls, waiting for a phone appointment, waiting for parts several times, being my own technician in taking the machine apart and installing new parts… it was a nightmare! After all of that, they still wanted to continue trying different things but, I finally said enough is any, send me a new machine. They did so and the new machine has worked perfectly. I have been through about 20 batches now, so far so good. I would like to recommend this company/product but, I cannot unless they greatly improve their customer service model and also put technicians in the field. After spending all that money, and then waiting months to get my machine, and then having to waste 2 more months on repairs that didn’t work before finally getting a working machine… think before you invest. Crossing my fingers that this one holds up!

Can't imagine how I lived without this. I am a gardener, so end of summer it is in constant use. I also buy meat on sale and Freeze Dehydrate that. It is fairly easy to use. Left overs don't get wasted, they get freeze dehydrated. My latest freeze dehydrator arrived in Nov. 2022, and yesterday I had a problem. The screen said something that was not in any of the error codes. I called the 800 # and within about 10 min I was loading a new batch. Customer service is fantastic.

We got a brand new freeze dryer and after one or two uses we started having problems with the vacuum. It would not work. Our hearts sunk. We talked with Harvest Right and got an excellent technician who helped us solve the problem. Yes it took a couple months but we are very happy now.

Love this machine it is a lifesaver for those of you who love to Garden! Gives you a break from canning and is more nutritious

Very exciting product. Set up easy. Loud while running but not too loud. Big learning curve. Excited to convert my freezer full of food into light weight, easy to transport, preserved freeze dryer foods.

I love my harvest right and you will to. I have had mine about 16 months and have done over 400 loads. I have not had any problems with mine. It works like it should. I highly recommend it. You won't regret it. If I could give it 10 stars I would

After having an issue updating the firmware on out Harvest Right freeze dryer, we submitted a problem ticket and were contacted almost immediately with troubleshooting steps that pinpointed the issue. Madysen from Harvest Right kept in close contact throughout the entire repair going (in my opinion) above and beyond with testing to make sure our unit was working at peek performance.

We purchased a medium freeze dryer a year ago. Had one small issue with oil vacuum pump, Harvest Right replaced it quickly. Then everything worked good. Just recently I had a heat issue. I contacted Harvest Right and it took was resolved quickly. All machine has issues from time to time, what matters is the support and how quickly it is fixed. I definitely would purchase again and have recommended it to others.

I I love my Freeze Dryer! My experience with Harvest Right tech support has always been timely, helpful and pleasant.

It has been a great hobby that allows me to use my imagination in preparing gifts that are practical, healthy and delicious!

WE have had a Harvest Right Freeze Drier for 7 years and even though there have been some low points with my experience with the company and their products, the machine has been a great investment. In comparing the price of freeze-dried food from commercial retailers, I have determined that I have paid for my investment several times over.

While we have had some issues with the early pump, Harvest Right has been helpful in trying to get things right for us. We currently have the standard pump, and it is working well.

We are a family that loves backpacking. Before we got our Harvest Right, we would buy Mountain House or Backpackers Pantry foods to take with us. But now, we are able to make and take whatever foods we want, without having to rely on a limited menu, lots of ingredients we may not want and portion sizes that don’t fit our needs. For example, we backpacked in the Wind River Range in Wyoming and one of our meals was home FD pot roast with gravy and potatoes and that was one of the best meals ever after a long day on the trail!

We also love being able to take our freeze dried food with us when we ski. We take a thermos full of hot water and our bags of FD food and we are good for a hot lunch that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like ski lodge food does.

We also give bags of FD fruit or goodies as gifts to friends and neighbors. Apples, peaches, etc., make a great unique treat for gifts.

Prep is easy, just put the food you want to FD on the trays, or leftovers that you want to freeze dry and pop them in your freezer until you have a whole batch to freeze dry–for the medium, that is 4 trays. Make sure your oil is clean, push a few buttons and in a day or so, you will have a long lasting version of whatever you put in your machine.

While running a batch of Parsley, the system failed in drawing an adequate vacuum on 2 attempts. Call to support at HR was answered quickly and time setup with a tech by the name of Chase within a day. Chase reviewed the issues and provided initial first steps on testing. Both HR and Chase were excellent in providing support sessions and "next steps" in the trouble shooting process.

Although the whole process to fix took a few weeks as the problem proved troublesome and I had to wait for parts to be shipped to Canada. Perseverance by Chase paid off and we solved the issue with a sliconing of the tray electrical plug.

We purchased our Harvest Right in 2020. They were back ordered, but we bought it just before the rush, so we were freeze drying while the rest of the world was still waiting. We bought a medium oil free pump (the low profile one that they are no longer selling). They replaced the first pump, and when we again had trouble with the second pump, replaced it as well!

Jonathan was especially great to work with. The front desk people were also very helpful and the owner even came out to speak to us one time I came up to replace a heater relay board. We had a lot to learn about drying certain foods (removing fats from foods, etc.) but we have dried 20 + bushels of fruit, lots of meals, and we use it for a wide variety of purposes, gifts, shipping food to others, and preserving foods for food storage. It preserves the flavor and nutrients and allows us to feed our big family for low cost on vacations.

We just bring a little collapsible kettle for hotels and a Jetboil when we camp. We are able to eat our leftovers so we don’t waste food, but we also spend less time and money feeding our family of 8. I am a celiac with dairy and sesame allergies, so eating from home can be tricky. We even dry ice cream, pies, skittles and more for fun and delicious treats!

We received our freeze dryer weeks before it was due, and have been using it non-stop. I had a vacuum problem and in one phone call I was set up with a technician, and solved the problem right away. I also had a problem with my sealer, in that the power wold not come on. They sent me a brand new one. Great service, and I LOVE my freeze dryer.

The Harvest Right Team is honest and diligent in providing customer service. Through my dealings with them they have demonstrated that their sole objective is to resolve any issues with the utmost of respect for both the customer and their product. I am enjoying owning my freeze drier and am making some incredible freeze-dried meals.
