Our great Harvest Right Freeze Dryer

Our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer is our newest way to preserve the produce from our garden for future use and to safeguard against possible difficult times in the years ahead. In addition to a wide variety of garden vegetables and berries, we have used it for prepared meals and other food specialties.

The machine is well designed and takes the user through the process in clearly designed prompts. The freeze dryer has special menus allowing for food that is pre-frozen and for vacuum sealing the glass jars. It leads the user through the process and Harvest Right has a large library of videos of “how to’s”.

We are happy we purchased our Harvest Right and look forward to many years eating a wide variety of delicious and safe ready- to -use foods.

We just received our XL freeze dryer several days ago and all I can say is wow! Our first batch of Food was completed this morning and processed perfectly without any hiccups. It was fast and efficient and holds about double the capacity of our Large Freeze Dryers.

If you're in the market for a Freeze Dryer, I definitely recommend going with Harvest Right. They're a tried and proven, established company.

In my opinion, Freeze Drying is the best way to preserve food long term. With a freeze dryer, you can preserve your favorite foods and meals to enjoy year round!

As with anything mechanical, it can break, so having some mechanical and problem solving skills definitely helps especially for the parts you can replace yourself.

Harvest Right Tech Support is great. Have patience, and be kind to them, they'll stick by you until your freeze dryer is troubleshooted and back up and running.

We just had a freeze dryer sent in for repair for a compressor issue and it was fixed quickly and shipped back to us. It works perfectly now!

Tech Support Was Great

Harvest Right tech team was very responsive, they called when they said they would and were able to diagnose my issue very quickly. They spent time to review my log files and provided support and assistance when needed.

I am very happy I reached out as my machine is back up and running and I am very happy with the machine. Special shout out to Chase, he was very professional and reassuring even when I had doubt.

This machine was not cheap, so knowing they were able to get my issue resolved was a big weight off my shoulders.

Love our Harvest Right. We have had it for over 2 years. We avoid all grains and are stay on a low sodium diet. Prepared and can foods are loaded with both.

So free drying gives us an option to make our own and eat healthy. We can even freeze dry our own garden produce. Try freeze dry raspberries in yogurt in the dead of winter.

They have great customer service!

I've had my medium HR freeze dryer for about 7 months, and have used it 1-2 times/week since then. It's been great. I've gotten a small stockpile for emergencies ('hurricane food' in my area). More importantly it lets me keep a stash of stuff in the pantry for myself so I can come home and have an instant meal in a matter of minutes when I'm too tired to cook.

I've shared some of FD goodies with family and friends and they've been amazed at them, such as how sweet and delicious blueberries and apples are when prepared that way. I've had one problem with the software and it was fixed within hours by an update. All in all, a great investment.

New to Harvest Right

My husband and I ordered our Harvest Right freeze dryer on 12/31/22. So far, we have done several candy runs and one fruit run. We had a problem this week with the machine saying we needed an authorization code. We called Harvest Right and they answered immediately. We were given an authorization code.

Then we tried to run a load and after running 15-20 minutes it said complete, open drain. We called Harvest Right and again they answered immediately.

We told them problem, we were told we would need to update the software. They sent an email with the upgrade, we loaded it on the machine, and now it is doing great!

Have loved using the Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. On top of having great quality products their customer service is fantastic. We had an issue with the shipping company damaging one of the side panels and they sent us a new one free of charge. They are prompt in their responses to any issues that I have had. Wont regret buying anything from them.

I recently purchased the Harvest Right Freeze dryer and couldn't be happier! It was very easy to set up and use, and worked perfectly from the first try. I am very pleased with the product, and the customer service I have received thus far has been top notch. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient Freeze dryer. The food that comes out of it is very dry and retains if original flavor!.

I purchased my HR freeze dryer about 8 months ago and for the first time I had an issue. I went on line to see if I could find someone that experienced something similar and in the process I read all the horror stories with customers service. So now I have no choice but to call customer service.

My first call I spoke to a very nice man named Leo, he listened and suggested I start with an update to my machine. I panicked and thought this is going to be a train wreck. He assured me it would be easy. Low and behold it was very simple. The update did not fix my issues, so he made an appointment for the next day to have a technician call. David called right on time and within about 20 minutes of his knowledge and help I was up and running!

My advice would be to start first with customer service and let their awesome team get your problems figured out.

As far as having my machine I have no regrets about purchasing it and it is something I will use for a long time.

I was debating on this purchase for quite some time and I am glad I finally did it! The process is so easy (once you read the booklets)! Harvest Right customer service is so beyond helpful. My premier pump I received had a faulty power switch and they were quick to send me a brand new replacement pump! Overall, I am ecstatic about this purchase!!

My Honest Review so far. I ordered the Harvest Right Medium Home Freeze Dryer in Black with the Premier pump, 4 trays, 1qt oil and heat sealing kit. All items arrived in reasonable time considering the expected delays from time of ordering and time of shipment. All items were packaged extremely well. The packaging & shipping boxes are obviously well thought out & designed to protect the contents. The medium freeze dryer is heavy so expect to need help moving it around & positioning it safely on a sturdy table or cart. Harvest Right obviously wishes for the unboxing to be without issue as they warn you several times to inspect the boxes & contents for any damage directly upon receiving the shipment. Also, do not move the freeze dryer using the freeze chamber door! It is not going to support the weight & the door is a major part of the correctly working system. Set up was super easy. Preparing the pump was super easy. The instructions are easy to follow & to read. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and if you don't understand any of the instructions, there are great resources on youtube or you can call Harvest Right. Their customer service team was helpful when I had an issue with the door not sealing correctly upon initial testing of system. Simple adjustment of the door corrected the problem without issue. We cleaned the pans and ran the initial tests a few times. Machine worked exactly as it should. We ran the initial ''burn'' run with bread & machine worked exactly as it should, in only 8hr. It was finished. Fast.

Then we ran 3 batches of bananas, strawberries and apples. All batches worked as the machine should without issues. The apples did need to be run again for several more hours but that was expected. Again, a great resource to learn about freeze drying is youtube. There are several awesome channels there that will help you understand the incredible versatility of the Harvest Right freeze dryer. After the cycles, I ran the defrost mode & this worked as it should. I am very happy with the system, shipping and accessories. I will honestly state that Harvest Right's customer service has been top notch & very willing to help me solve the door sealing issue. They have EVEN followed up with me on two occasions to make sure the system was functioning correctly. I am very happy with the Harvest Right so far & I am impressed with the ease of using it.

Harvest Right is a great customer service company. That's important because there are no local technicians to service the machines. You call the company and a technician makes an appt. to help you. May sound overwhelming but they are really really good at diagnosing and helping fix the issue over the telephone.

Fantastic Machine and Customer Service

My husband purchased a machine for me for my Christmas present and we it setup and for some reason, we had errors that kept the system from completing the process. I have to admit that I was getting very frustrated and concerned, after all these machines are very expensive.

However, I contacted Harvest Right, and they helped me to upload an update to the machine and it is working perfectly now! It was just a little cliché in the programing. Victoria and Kennedy were extremely helpful, very polite and they responded to me over emails and a phone call! I was completely surprised by the fact that they reached out to me on several emails to see if everything was okay!

I don't believe that happens very often with companies any more...I was really surprised by their awesome customer service!!! I am giving a 5 Star review and would give more if there were more stars!

I highly recommend Harvest Right for not only the preserving of food but the company and those who work for them are fantastic!!!

Repair process could be streamlined but love the freeze dryer

Loving the freeze dryer so much! We are using it pretty much every day. 7 months after purchasing it started burning all food. We contacted Harvest Right and the repair journey began, a technician will guide you. but you need to be the repair person on your machine. Tools and patience are required for the repair process. The help videos are out dated but you do get the gist of what to do. You are assigned one technician and the others can not really effectively assist, so you are working on one technicians schedule and that technician is very busy with other customers as well. The process could be streamlined as emails with the next repair step come sometime between 30 minutes to 2 hours apart. It took 24 days from initial contact to get our machine up and running again. Be aware that if you need warranty parts you must pay for the shipping and it is in US dollars. Understanding the machine better now it will certainly speed up any repair in the future. In the end the machine is up and running and working well.

While this food preservation technique does take some getting used to, it gets easier with each use, and the understanding of how the unit works. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to preserve food at the peak of its freshness.

I bought the large freeze dryer the end of 2022. I love it. I had a little bit of trouble getting started but the customer service was amazing.

I would not normally talk about the customer support, but the company made my experience great (both for the use and help). They are willing to answer any question and are very patient with us newbies.

The unit is very simple to use and don't be afraid to get creative with what you freeze dry. Food stores longer than dehydration or canning. I am having a lot of fun with my freeze dryer. I'm glad I purchased it. I love that everything is automatic once you start it.

We've had 2 occasions to speak with customer service representatives. Both were friendly, helpful, and quick to make a "ticket." I received a call from a technician within 4 hours of my initial contact. Both occasions, I upgraded the software and the machine has worked flawlessly.

We love ❤️ our large Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. So glad we bought the large. We use it nearly every day!!

We grow organic produce and manage a local farmers market so Harvest Right is a perfect fit for our family of 2!!

We had one minor issue but it was handled expertly over the phone.

We have multiple friends with Harvest Right Freeze Dryers that rave about them as well.

Problem Solved

I purchased my FD 9 months ago. I ran it constantly with no issues until now. I had the dreaded inadequate vacuum error. I reached out to my FD community on Facebook and updated my software to 23. Still issues. Reached out again and did the Felix fix. Same issues. I opened a ticket with Harvest Right and emailed Madysen back and forth. She had me update the software to 24 and problem solved. Worth the buy!
