Our family has food allergies which requires preparing foods for vacations and day trips ahead of time- Because of Harvest Right instead of hours upon hours of preparing foods the days before we can double batch cook during the week and have several meals without even thinking about it! It takes about 30 minutes to bag, clean the 5 trays , put items away, and set up freeze dryer for the next items!

Great Product

Our freeze dryer has been running almost non-stop for five years. The technical issue we had was resolved and we will probably get another five years! Our family loves knowing we have food for an emergency.

Upgraded to software version 5.1.16

We purchased our freeze dryer 4 years ago. It was software version 3.6.11 . We set up 4 years later we were waiting until we were settled into our new home. The first couple times we used it (30 hour process time) we thought that it was done and the fruit broke in half very easily but we found when we sealed and stored in our Mylar bags, that once I opened them just to test out to see what the fruit looked like, everything was stuck together and very moist.

I reached out to Harvest Right they suggested we upgrade to software version 5.1.16, which we did that day. We ran a new cycle with the new software and 34 hours later the fruit was done and appeared to be much dyer and crispier. The upgraded version allows you to just turn the machine on and it does the rest for you. We are hoping that this solved our issues.

I have had the Harvest Right Freeze dryer for about 10 months, love it. My biggest regret is not buying two. When Covid-19 hit and the weakness in the supply chain became so apparent, I worried that for an older, divorced women there was no effective way to preserve the food needed to be self reliant, especially food that I wanted to eat, and share with my friends and family. This freeze dryer has been so awesome. The fruits and vegetables I have mostly completed have been so good. I bring them to work and share with my family. For me the learning curve has been doable and the people at Harvest Right very helpful when I had a slight problem. If you have any doubts about the product, put them aside, this by far was the best investment I have made.

No more wasted food. Now that we are empty nesters we throw away more food then I like to admit. Not anymore! We have had our medium HR freeze dryer for a few weeks and all I can say is why didn't we get one sooner!

I’ve had the Harvest Right freeze dryer for several years now. We started out with a used one I purchased and a little over a year ago purchased a new large one. Now we use both.

We’ve had some minor problems, but the support team is always responsive and gets our problems solved as quickly as possible. My wife and I love our freeze dryers and the Harvest Right team that keeps us going. We now have a medium (our older one) and a large. Just purchased the premier pump for our older freeze dryer. Works wonderful!

I have owned my Harvest Right medium FD for about a year. Yes, it was a big investment for me but it has given me so much peace of mind in our looming food crisis. I feel fairly confident from the food I have been freeze drying compared to what is commercially on the market, the machine has probably already paid for itself.

I didn't know much (anything) about freeze drying until a friend let me try some apples, cherries and strawberries. The amazing flavor hooked me.

I admit, I struggled with the idea of investing $3000+ on a freeze dryer. Upon pulling the trigger, the first batch was peaches, as they were just coming in in our area. Wow! The investment was worth it!!

The machine is fully automatic, telling you, on screen, each action to take...even reminding you to "close the drain valve". Easy, peasy.

Last, I wasn't quite getting down to less than 500mTorrs during my initial testing, so I opened a trouble ticket with Harvest Right. They couldn't have been more responsive. A few simple things (not mentioned in the checklist) and my unit is working flawlessly. Excellent customer service after the purchase.

I purchased my Harvest Right freeze dryer in April of 22 and already have used it many times. It has been so easy for me to use. I am a paraplegic and I can’t safely preserve food by canning but with the freeze dryer I can easily preserve food and for a much longer time than canning. I can’t get over how easy it is to use and how good the food taste. I have especially enjoyed freeze-drying apple slices from my own apple tree. They taste so good and fresh.

I purchased a medium freeze dryer in spring of 2022. It has been a great investment, especially for the garden harvest this year. We also love having apples and other fruits to snack on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to preserve food, but also to just have fun with it.

We bought a medium freeze dyer in late 2020 and have loved it. The freeze dried food is fantastic. We have had a couple of minor operational issues, but Harvest Right helped us resolve them fully. I hope they keep refining their systems.

I have had my Harvest Right FD for a month now. To know how much I have been using it, it reminded me I needed to change the oil. Since I didn't know what to do about the reminder, I called Harvest Right, and they told me exactly what to do. So, not only is the FD a great buy, their customer service goes above and beyond without making you feel like and idiot.

We love our freeze dryer!! We’ve found it perfect for preserving fruits and vegetables and allowing us to just toss it on a shelf! No canning jars to cautiously place on secure shelf space, no freezer space taken, and they store for years!

Buying the large Harvest Right freeze dryer was the best decision I’ve made!! Where I live we produce a ton of fresh fruit and veggies, I love that I’m able to preserve them this way. I prefer to eat stuff as is out of the freeze dryer because the texture is something else!
