NOT WORTH IT!!!
Worst experience I have had with a wireless company. Shame on Tim Reynolds. Customer service doesn't understand your request and have mislead at every turn. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY!!!!
Ripoff
No Refund Given
I signed up for Mint Mobile because I was in a dead zone with Verizon. It turned out that I was in another dead zone with Mint. When I signed up, they encouraged me to buy a full year for a discount. That was $200. They refused to give me back the prepaid $200, saying that since I didn’t request it when I quit the service (I did), I wasn’t eligible for a refund. I did request it at the time of cancellation and the customer service guy said it was being processed. But he dropped the ball, not me. I want my money back. I’m on disability and unable to work. I need that money.
Since I wrote this review on TrustPilot, Mint Mobile followed up only to let me down again about ten times and I’m not exaggerating. They refuse to send me a check. That’s ridiculous. Thanks for nothing, Ryan Reynolds.
Same thing happened to me I PAID THREE MONTHS in advance they sent me three Sim cards three different numbers nothing worked Customer Service SUCKS DEFINITELY REPORTING THEM TO BBB!
Run away from Mint
I would give them a lower rating than one star. I prepaid for 3 months of service in April 2022. It worked fine. Then I prepaid for a year of service in July 2022. It immediately started dropping calls and in early October it stopped working completely.
This was our main number that we had for many years. I spent many hours with their support people. They sent a new SIM card after saying they would 2 other times. It did not work. After a month of endless calls, we talked to a support person and told them we needed the number to work.
We asked if we could port the number to another carrier and then get them to issue us a new number so we could continue to work on the problem. They agreed and we did this. When we called to get a new number, we were told the account had been closed and also told that they were sorry we were misled.
We spent over $260 and they refuse to consider a refund since we are past the 7 day period of refunds. This is a pretty convenient rule (for Mint). We did everything in good faith. It is not our fault we had no working service after the first few months.
I didn't even started
On Sunday 10/30/22, I purchased a family plan with Mint Mobile. $104.00 was charged to my card within minutes. I was told that I would receive 2 sim cards to activate to start my service. I should have received them 2 to 3 business days. I gave them 4 days.
On the 5th day Friday 11/4, I decided to check the tracking number from my order. That is when I discovered the cards hadn't left the warehouse in Calif. so I called customer service and was told they would escalate my order, they would cancel the first sim cards and rush 2 new ones that I would receive on Monday 11/7.
I began wondering why I had not received any emails about my issues, so I called again that morning at 9:30 est. I was told that it would be escalated again because one of my cards had been activated by someone named Siyamli and was activated 5 days earlier. This means the call I made on Friday, should have alerted them. Then I was told that they would call me with a new tracking number.
After 6 hours, I called back and was told they needed to cancel my order and refund my money because of the mistake. Then they tried to get me to start a new order. I told them that there was no way I would give them any more money.
Impossible to reach customer service by phone
Good phone service, but lots of luck getting customer service on the phone! They ask for you to select a number extension, and guess what, you 're just wasting your time because there is NO good extension you can select, so you're forced to poke around and hope for the best. The best won't happen, and the bot will bid you an obnoxiously, aggravating cheery"later!" and hang up on you It's the worst I have ever seen, even metro pcs is better to get ahold of than mint mobile customer service! It really is that bad. I hate it.
Make sure you have good mint service and don't use the map to verify before your purchase
I bought a phone and a 1 year plan on the mint mobile based on the coverage map. After spending most of the day and part of the next, they finally activated the sim card. Where I live you can't swing a cat without hitting a cell tower, but of course none of them are at&t which is the sim I was sent. I get absolutely no cell signal at all. So spending hours with agent after agent, they came to conclusion that I was in a bad area. So, I try to return the phone and sim to mint mobile. I was sent an email giving me a return number and a note that said " soon I will receive a shipping label " to be able to return it.
I waited for days, no label. I try calling, the phone service is automated and gives no options for return. So I pick one that gets me to a live person from the other side of the world that helps set up sim cards, I then get him to transfer me to someone that can help with this shipping label. After giving him the sim number, phone number and all the information pertaining to this return, I get hung up on. I do this a few more times and end up at a dead end. I am stuck with a years worth of data that I can't use and a phone that sits in a box with all the paper work waiting for return.
I don't recommend this service, it has been a nightmare. I took my old phone called straight talk and had a phone that was functioning within 5 minutes! I had straight talk for years and had great service, I was just looking to save a little money, but the ol' saying comes to mind- you get what you pay for.
Stay Away

Mint continues fraudulent charges
had Mint mobile a few years ago. With the pandemic back in early 2020, I added a pine for my daughter to use for school on a three month basis. We used our own phones. I was charged for an entire year after the three months was up. I called and they said the account had been put on automatic billing charging to my credit card. I canceled at that time and asked them to take off of automatic billing.
I then was charged again later. I called again and they said as that phone was in my daughter's name, I could not cancel or take off reoccurring billing. I got my daughter on the line and she requested they cancel and quit billing my credit card.
At that time I was so mad I canceled my line too. It's been about 2 years and now they are billing me every three months an annual fee for phones that aren't used and were supposed to be cancelled.
A nightmare- Stay away from this company
Their technology is weak and problematic.
I fully recommend Mint
I'm a new customer and I started today after being with T-Mobile for over 8 years. I had to leave in the end because it was one lie after another and so many promised callbacks that never came.
Apart from a problem activating the SIM card everything else has been very quick and it's been a beautiful transition. Mints customer service has been very helpful.
DO NOT
This is NOT acceptable.

I did NOT purchase this one year of service for 201.59 from Mint Mobile. I spoke with a gentleman on Monday inquiring about service. I agreed to a three-month plan with Mint Mobile and gave him my credit card info., immediately he informed me that he made a billing error and sent me to another person to have it corrected. They could not fix it and sent me to yet another person. After a lengthy time with the other person, Carla, she said that the amount would be reversed on my card immediately. I told her once that was done, I would contact you to purchase a service. MY credit card was charged today. I have been on the phone all morning trying to get this resolved. The last person I spoke with, AJ, offered to get me a refund in 10-12 days. He then went on to get me to someone else, but they would have to call me right back. I have yet to receive a call.
This is not acceptable. Branda
Bad Accounting dept.
Great Customer Service Experience
My phone BECAME incompatible--but NO REFUND
Mint - No Clue Customer Service
I thought I would save money by going with Mint. OMG I couldn't even get activated. Even worse after 4.5 hours on the phone with 8 different people, I got disconnected 4x. I could only get people in the Philippines. While the language barrier wasn't too bad, they didn't understand how to fix things. Every time I was transferred to the activation department I was disconnected.
The 5th time I got a nice girl who said I see all ways have been tried and I'll have to send it to the tech dept. The problem was you can't talk to them, its by email only (that's correct Mint to Mint can't even talk to them.) She said she would put a rush on it and I would have a phone for the next work day. The next day nothing. I called and there wasn't even a response from the tech dept.
I asked for a ported number so I could go back to Verizon because I needed a phone. No problem I got one. I called Verizon and got reconnected in 10 minutes but I had to go get a SIM card before activating. I went to the store got the card and guess what... still couldn't connect. The rep. had a land line talking to Mint, his cell talking to Verizon and another rep. gave me his because I had to get the account number from Mint that was on my deck at home because get this, the Mint person didn't know it. Finally 1.5 hours later I could make calls.
The rest of the work day I got ZERO calls or texts, very unusual for me in my business. When I called my wife, she said it goes straight to voice mail. On the phone again to Verizon and the girl looked up my info and it said, wrong Mint account number. She called Mint and got a guy who looked it up and said thats the wrong number. He gave me 1 that was 10 digits longer and after 10 more minutes, FINALLY I had a phone.
ALL THIS BECAUSE MINT AND ALL THEIR REPS COULDN'T SEE THAT THE ACCOUNT NUMBER WAS WRONG. THEY SAID IT WAS CORRECT ON THEIR END AND IT WAS VERIZON. I can only imagine what the service would have been like. All to save $60 a month. It was a good idea.
The worst company
Worst customer service, problems ongoing for 10 days are not resolved no one cares customer service agents hang up constantly. Even supervisors hang up?
Buyer beware!! Do not trust them or give them any service. Then they don't give you a refund for the unused portion of a prepay...
I had to give a star only to initiate this review
