Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Reviews

We bought the large Harvest Right freeze dryer about a month ago. It is a little pricey. But has been fun to use. The directions are easy to follow, not a lot of work. Prep work is quick. It does take a long time to freeze dry. But there is nothing for you to do. Just wait for it to finish. Bagging it is quick and easy. All supplies given with the initial purchase.

We freeze dried raw ground beef, reconstituted and grilled it. It was fabulous, just like a fresh grilled hamburger. We have freeze dried apples, avocados, candies, cake, cookies, berries, bananas, squash, ice cream, yogurt, steaks, ground beef raw and cooked, fajita meat, and grapes so far. Next week I'll try ham. It's pretty simple to do and rather fun.

My harvest right has been functional. I have had to call support a few times because it reset when I turned it on and then off again. It is a learning process, but if you follow the instructions it is easy to operate. I do wish I paid the $700 more for the large. The product works well. I do like how easy it is to add more time. Watch the videos from HR or youtube to explore all the options. The ROI is obtainable. But you need to be diligent.

We recently purchased a Harvest Right Freeze Dryer (medium sized-stainless with a premium pump) after a long time of consideration of whether to buy or not due to the current economy. We’re happy to report it was the best decision we’ve made! After considering where and how to set it up, it arrived just in time for our fruit harvest. Initially it worked just as described but then the drying time grew longer and longer.

After contacting customer service and going through some tests (I leaned a lot about the machine as a result, becoming more confident about my freeze dryer) we determined that my drain valve was defective - allowing air to come into the chamber preventing a complete vacuum state. Harvest Right sent me a replacement valve immediately, I installed it, ran a few tests, problem solved!

With a company as responsive as this, backing its product, the customer could not go wrong buying it. Great product! Fruits and anything we put through it are delicious! Of course, I’ve got much experimenting left to do with freeze drying and I’m looking forward to it!

Bought our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer in May and due to some crazy life schedules didn’t get around to setting it up till this month (Oct 22). After getting all set up switched power on and nothing happened.

Called Harvest Right support, was on hold for less than 2 minutes and we were working on a common issue. A simple cable plug in on the circuit board that had dislodged during shipping. Powered back on done the test run, ran some bread for a first batch and the machine worked perfectly. Thank you Harvest Right for above and beyond support!

I was skeptical at getting a freeze dryer because we were already pressure canning and I liked the convenience of having already prepared meals, meats, soups, etc… That was until we started freeze drying. The food is not only more nutritious, but it tastes like it was just prepared.

And using the Harvest Right freeze dryer is so easy, I can press a button, step away and the next day the food is ready to store. Now I have meals ready to eat for the next 20 years! And you can pay in installments so that makes it affordable for more people.

I have had my Harvest Right freeze dryer since Black Friday, 2019. I have appreciated the ability to update the software, making it function better with

each update. The Harvest Right website is excellent at explaining how to deal with various issues that arise. The main issue I have had is with the oil pump. I had excellent help the first time it quit functioning and it was replaced, free of charge.

Recently, the pump had a vacuum error. My first appointment with a service person was dropped, as the employee had just quit. The next day I

received a call from customer service, sent them the files, and Josselyn was quick to send instructions on how to correct the issue. She checked back

with me the next few days to ensure that I had the problem fixed. It is a fantastic machine when everything is working correctly!

My husband and I absolutely LOVE the Harvest Right freeze dryer. We hadn’t even heard about having a home freeze dry unit until a couple of months ago..we watched videos on YouTube and took a chance and bought one. Now I don’t know how we lived without it. It’s easy to use, it produces excellent tasting products like, freeze-dried blueberries, cream cheese, hamburger, eggs and now we’re working on Cheddar cheese. Once freeze dried, just add water and the product reconstitutes to it’s original state. Not only that, unlike the dehydration method, the products you freeze dry retain 95% of their nutrition value and retain their original shape and color…it’s amazing!

Customer Service is excellent also…we had a question, we called and THEY answered. WOW! If you’re on the fence about buying, buy it because it’s worth every penny..Oh and it’s FUN!

Love the freeze dryer! I purchased the large one and have had it for about a month now and my kids and family love the food and new snacks! The first one that was sent was damaged in transport and Harvest Right’s customer was excellent and had a new one sent within a week. Iv called their support team with questions and was able to get through right away and get my questions answered. Very happy with my purchase and would defiantly recommend this product.
