Lots of fake reviews and aggressive hr trolls online. Read for yourself what this company really delivers at Utah Better Business Bureau - Harvest Right and on other online forums. Bad company in my opinion. They are assembled or modified in the US but manufactured in China. The truth is out there, do your research.

I took my Freeze dryer back to the warehouse the day after I bought it because it appeared the hose was bad. I didn't mind it as they rewarded me with a free gift for having made the trip, and even being a Saturday they took care of me. They quickly switched out for a good hose and tested it all super quickly. The warehouse guys were super helpful and friendly and I haven't had an issue for the past 6 months. I use it pretty dang often (3x a week) means it's running 5-6 days a week and it has never had an issue. Love building up long term food storage with left over food from dinner.

Customer service on the phone to schedule the appt was super kind and easy to work with. She helped on a Saturday morning from home. In fact, they reached out to a tech on his cell phone (on a Saturday morning) who helped me troubleshoot send pictures back and forth all while he was a kids soccer game. Over and beyond.

We received our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer on August 10, 2022 and have finished 57 batches. All were very successful. We have a large garden and also a small orchard so we freeze dried what we would normally can.

So far we have done eggs, frozen vegetables, garden vegetables, apples, peaches, sour cream, cream cheese, cooked meats and vegetables, chicken pot pie, etc. Everything about Harvest Right has been top quality and the support super! We are very pleased in every way.

I was so excited when I purchased my medium-sized freeze dryer about two years ago. I was a greenie to freeze-drying and I admit there is a learning curve. My original questions when I made the purchase were:

1) what size unit should I purchase. I'm thrilled with the medium unit. It was a great choice. I would not want the small unit as I easily fill up the medium unit when I have a batch. I think the large unit would be too large for me and my husband.

2) what pump should I buy. Does it even matter? To be honest, I didn't want to spend any more money but in hindsight, I wish I would have purchased the Premier or oil-free pump to start with and just have spent the extra money. I’ve already upgraded my pump as I felt I was always changing oil all the time (after 3-4 batches). It isn't fun if it seems you’re always changing the oil. The Premier pump is quiet and should go 3-4 times longer without having an oil change. Hopefully this is a better decision. If I had extra money, I would purchase the Oil-free pump.

I am grateful Harvest Right has great customer service support and there are so many on-line user ideas. I have been on the phone with the company several times to work out some issues and the staff is very accommodating. Actually, I was very frustrated the other day and the lady professionally handled my problem and was able to resolve my issues that same day.

I am impressed the company built technical programs into the machine so they can resolve your issues without having to physically see the unit. You can run a user report and send it to the customer service department and they evaluate your issues. That saves so much time and frustration.

The biggest reason I'm satisfied with this purchase is I like the food! I used to bottle a lot of food, and I have changed to freeze drying. It preserves the flavor and the nutrition. Actually one of our favorite items is my favorite Salsa - Freeze Dried. My family was impressed on a recent vacation when I took several freeze-dried meals including porkchops, mashed potatoes and green beans which were ready in a relatively short time, no clean up and they were delicious. We enjoy the soups, the sauces, and the salsa for snacks. I even freeze-fried chips to make them crisper. I love experimenting and trying new ideas. That's where I appreciate the comments and suggestions on line. Luckily, the company has so many wonderful products to enhance your freeze-drying.

The company has so many great accessories. I thought I could get cheaper air-absorbers from Amazon, but that was a mistake. Harvest Right packages them is small units so you don't ruin them when you only need a few. I like the trays and bought a second set so I can freeze soups and double my recipes when I'm cooking and I prepare the trays for freeze-drying. I'm grateful to this great company and their commitment to excellence. I think they are constantly trying to improve their product. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy my dryer and I'm certainly pleased with my purchase.

I would recommend this to my friends and to anyone who is trying to have food on hand for an emergency, for camping or for convenience.

Bottom line, this is a good product. I think it is highest quality you can find in a non-commercial dryer. I am impressed with quality products you can purchase to go with the dryer. The company has integrity and works to make their customers happy.

Love this 5-Tray Harvest Right Freeze Dryer!!! We've had it for 3 weeks and it's been working everyday since! We've been drying lots of varieties, including fruit bars and fresh made jam. I used the tray dividers to make those and they are perfect for jam when reconstituted. I love all the tastes coming out of the machine how they are concentrated goodness!

A great idea on how to use the seconds or culls from my produce market. Saving lots of money but still getting goodness and rich nutrition with these unsaleable second class fruits and veggies as the Harvest Right concentrates the sweetness and nutrients to favorable tastes. I'm so glad we spent the extra money to get the 5-tray. It holds so much more food, which is what we need. I would get another one if I could!

Customer service has been a huge help each time I've called. Their support is most appreciated. I highly recommend this machine to any serious person wanting to prepare foods for hard times ahead or for camping, hiking, snacks, etc.

Bought a Large Stainless Steel Freeze Dryer from Harvest Right in March of 2021 which got delivered in June or so as expected.

Upon arrival they was a couple issues of the oil having leaked out of a bottle and missing power cord. Was easily able to contact customer service and with zero issues was given a new power cord and couple bottles of oil. Honestly it sucks I didn't have the power cord off the bat but things happen.

Have had some issues with the freeze dryer since but every time I've needed help the technicians have been knowledgeable, helpful and sent parts to change right away to get issues resolved. B/c I live in Hawaii they even worked with me to get some repairs done locally and reimburse me for the cost.

I do wish i never had any issues with my machine but things happen and i'm glad to know that harvest right has made it right each time i've had to call and works with you on what is fair for the customer. Things happen and how they handled it is why they got 5 stars vs someone giving them less just b/c there was issues with the machine. Things can break no matter how much they are tested before going out and there is human error but the amount of time, help and knowledge they gave me in the process as well as always being easy to work with allows me to over look that it's not always perfect coming out of the shop but that they'll work with you to make it right.

Probably going to buy another freeze dryer at some point as I use it for business and it will continue to be with Harvest Right b/c I can trust if things happen that they will address it.

My wife and I purchased the Medium Harvest Right Freeze Dryer after seeing it on numerous videos featured by homesteaders like us. We already have a pressure canner, dehydrator and freezer space but wanted another option. To this point, we have freeze dried milk, half and half, cream, cheese, sour cream, vegetables, fruits, berries, chicken and beef. The first tests were to rehydrate a batch of milk and taste test it with some friends. The results were FANTASTIC. We have already come back to Harvest Right to buy more trays, tray covers, silicone sheets, bags, etc, etc, Their customer service and product quality is first rate.

We are now exploring possibilities of recreating and adjusting recipes using freeze dried ingredients.

Tips:

1 - record your results in a log

2 - number and mark the empty trays with their weight

3 - weight the product before and after freeze drying to make the rehydration calculations easy

4 - mark the bags or canning jars with rehydration instructions
