Great way to store food
Great way to store food
I have had a medium Harvest Right Freeze Drier for 5 months and have run over 100 loads. Easy to operate, the touch screen gives you each step to take. It even picked up where it left off when we had a power outage and finished the cycle to successfully complete the drying process.The trays fit in my side by side refrigerator so I can pre freeze my trays of food, cutting down on how much power it takes to freeze dry. Customer Service is great. Wish it had an audible alert so I would know right away when the process was complete.

I just want to give a shout out to Harvest Right and our super-hero tech, Heather. She really went over and above to ensure our machine got fixed. She followed up each tech session with a phone call to ensure we were all on track, and to ask if we needed anything else.
She really is what we want and expect customer service to be. I'm glad she's on my side to keep our machines working!

Ive been using these freeze dryers for a little over a year now.
Their costumer service is really top notch. I always get a happy friendly rep.
I use these in a professional canna environment daily and love using them.
If I could make 1 change it would be to make the USB board more universal,
I have so many USB drives for updating (make sure its 2.0 and under 16 gig)

Great customer service
Love our Freeze Dryer from Harvest Right. Run about 22 batches and they came out perfect. We then got a “Mid Batch Heat Error” so I sent in to customer service explaining what I thought was going on. Received a call the next day from Harvest Right service representative who explained what I would need to do so that they could analyze log files to determine what was causing freeze dryer issues, and sent a new software update.
They also explained that their technician would analyze the log data and get back in touch to help me resolve the issues. The technician was very responsive and explained what I would need to do to solve the problem which included sending the correct parts that enabled me to resolve freeze dryer issues.
As a result I am very pleased with freeze dryer and what it does for us. Also pleased and thankful for the service provided by Harvest Right customer service technician’s.
Problems from the start were corrected
My unit did not work properly when it first arrived, but Harvest Right made it right, but it took a long time. I had to return it, which is not easy to do. I was not able to preserve any of my garden harvest by the time I got it back. I am running my first batch of scrambled eggs as we speak and it still is not complete after 24 hrs of run time.
Excellent Customer Service
My Harvest Right Medium Freeze dryer did not turn off when I clicked the button one day after I completed a batch and was ready for the machine to defrost. I tried multiple times and finally just unplugged it from the wall.
I put in a ticket with customer service and received an email back with a scheduled time to have a 15-minute conversation with a technician. David the technician called right on time and already knew from the description of my issue on the ticket what the issue was. He told me I needed a new power switch, and he would get it out to me. Since I was about 20 minutes from the store I asked if I could just swing by and pick it up and not have to wait for shipping. He said that would be fine. He sent me an email with a video of how to change out the part on my machine.
I came home and followed the instructions on the video and within 30 minutes I was back up and running again. I have completed 2 loads since then and am working on the third with no issues.
David was wonderful to work with, knowledgeable and friendly. He even called a couple of days later to make sure that I had been able to change the part out and my machine was working again.
This was the second time that I have had to call for tech support and the first time was no different. Excellent customer service both times. I do suggest that you view the website to learn how to make a copy of the log files they need to diagnosis your issue and include that in the original ticket. It makes the process much faster and saves time.
Buyer beware
I was able to use a relative's freeze dryer for over a month. I loved it
so I decided to buy my own. However my experience has been anything but good.
I was told the dint and dings class A had barely perceptible scratches. The unit I received definitely has damage beyond scratches.
When my unit arrived 3 items were missing and one was broken.. I had to call 3 times to get the items replaced. When they finally arrived it was the wrong item again, I had to call again and I'm still waiting for the missing piece.
Meanwhile I decided to run a test just to make sure that unit works. Turns out it doesn't. The heating element will not work. After yet another call, I am told a Tech can call me in a week to try and diagnose the problem. It is ridiculous to have to wait that long just for a phone call to see what's wrong, not even to get the part sent out.
It seems like they are just trying to push getting back to me out past my return window so that is no longer an option. And even if I do return it I will lose about $800 between shipping it back and the 15% restocking fee.
Good customer service
The product is working as intended and the customer service is quite good.
The sealer was missing in the original shipment, but it was promptly sent after pointing it out to the company.
Great new adventure
I bought the medium Harvest Right about 6 weeks ago and have been using it nearly every day. It is so fun to experiment with different foods and I love the food I’ve freeze-dried. Pears are to die for! I have preserved a lot of food permanently. This method is definitely superior to regular canning. It is expensive but there is no other way I know to get such quality food storage in large amounts.
On the 20th batch, however, it failed to keep a sufficient vacuum. The customer support has been excellent. They took me through a checklist and gave me tests to perform. They are sending me a part and I have an appointment made this week to talk to a service representative after they look at my data from the machine. I am optimistic that it can be resolved quickly.
Great freeze drying experience.
Got the large size and glad ,we are doing batch after batch. Put up alot of vegetables, meat, fruit and eggs.
The setup was staight forward with the videos provided plus the great customer service made it easy.
Supportive Customer Service if needed
I purchased a new Harvest Right Freeze Dryer on Oct 9, 2022, from Tractor Supply Company. After carefully following the instructions and a few attempts at getting to the bottom of the issue, it was apparent that it had a vacuum leak.
I phoned HR on 4 occasions and talked with a different tech. each time. I was surprised at how knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful each of them was. They walked me through and spent as much time as I needed to follow the steps.
I got to the point where I needed to open the back of the unit to check for a possible leak and I was not willing to do that since I had a 30-day return guarantee with Tractor Supply Company. I soon returned the unit and came home with a new freeze dryer and am so excited and pleased with the performance.
I cannot speak highly enough of the customer service that I received from both Harvest Right and Tractor Supply Company. I look forward to working with and maintenance of my freeze dryer with the safety of knowing that the tech support at Harvest Right will have my back no matter what, if any issues arise.
I am so happy with the customer service and have read many reviews and comments on the different supportive Facebook groups for freeze drying, of how very helpful and supportive the customer service team is at Harvest Right. It is very much like a family type support, knowing I will be helped if needed. Thank you Harvest Right!
Thrilled so far
I have to admit I was nervous to get the freeze dryer up and running, but by following the instructions in the manual and watching the online video for setup, everything went smoothly.
The dryer is working perfectly, and my first batch of raspberries came out beautiful! I have purchased freeze dried raspberries in the can for years, and the ones I did myself far exceed the ones I’ve been purchasing. Plump and delicious!
I have also done carrots from our garden. They turned out great as well. I sliced and blanched half the batch before freeze drying, and the other half I just sliced and put directly on the trays....prefer the flavor of the carrots that were not blanched. Yeah! A step eliminated!
So far I am thrilled with my freeze dryer. It’s pretty simple to use really, and there are lots of videos on YouTube by experienced users that give good information. Harvest Right customer service has been really good to answer my questions, too.
