I recently purchased a freeze dryer, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. The freeze dryer I chose is a remarkable piece of equipment that has revolutionized my food preservation process. Here’s why I highly recommend it:

Ever since I saw a video review by Carolyn Thomas (Homesteading Family) over a year ago, I wanted to buy a freeze dryer but had to do a ton of research to feel confident that the cost was justified. My husband & I are retired with limited income, so this was expensive to buy on our budget. We have chickens & grow a nice-sized garden, which keeps me very busy doing food preservation. Canning is getting physically harder for me to stand for hours, requires watching the canner until finished, & lifting the heavy pressure canner, etc. is exhausting. So, we decided to buy the medium FD. We love that FD’ing retains more of the nutritional values, so I’ll do very little canning or dehydrating. It will be great to have lightweight food to pack in our RV. The main reasons we invested in the FD are to reduce grocery costs & to have food security before there’s another pandemic or if there are global food shortages caused by disasters, e.g., lost crops from severe weather, supply chain, or even wars.

I’ve only had our FD for 2 weeks & only did the bread run & my first batch (portobello mushrooms, squash, & rosemary). I have 4 trays of eggs & 4 trays of strawberries pre-freezing & will process them as soon as restoration contractors complete work in our basement.

So far, we’re very satisfied with our purchase and customer service.

I am over the top excited about my new HarvestRight Freeze Drier! My neighbor, who loves hers, messaged our whole neighborhood that they were on sale, and I jumped on the opportunity.

My sister has owned the medium model for a few years and uses it all the time, so I trusted that it would be a solid investment.

I purchased the medium model last week and was so excited to bring it home! I needed a little help figuring it out how to get a good seal, so I emailed HarvestRight for help, and within a few minutes, Brandon called and helped me through the process of adjusting the door a bit, and testing my air pressure.

This gave me so much confidence that I BBQ'd a large batch of pork steaks. I cut them into strips and popped them into the freeze drier. Success! I am now ready for lovely salads with BBQ Pork strips on top!

Next, I mixed a dozen eggs and poured it into one of the four trays. It fit well, so I filled the other 3 trays with raw eggs as well! Today, I now have four dozen eggs sealed into sturdy mylar packages ready to use when I need them!

I feel so excited for harvest season to begin! My husband loves that I'll be able to save practically everything now!

We received our Harvest Right medium freeze dryer just a few days ago. The unit was in perfect condition. We set it up after reading the instruction books thoroughly. All went well and we proceeded to run the recommended bread run to absorb the "new car smell". Since then we have freeze dried several things to see how well it works. This machine does an amazing job of freeze drying everything we have tried so far. At one point we had a question that was not answered in the instruction book, so we called customer service. We spoke with Leo and he was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with our new Harvest Right Freeze Dryer and Harvest Right's customer service! Can't wait to try more food items, especially knowing that what we prepare today, will last for years to come if needed.

We ordered our harvest right in February. They sent us the freeze dryer, it came in broken. It took three week to get them to believe that it was not working.

They send for it to be picked up. It took a long time but we got it back in May and it’s been running well since then.

We got to deal with Jacqueline Winegar as a representative and she was great to work with. Lots of steps to jump through. We hope that we can keep this machine running well and don’t have to deal with the company like this again. It was a long wait but we are very happy with this piece of equipment. Looking forward to proceeding the entire garden.

Our harvest rite med freeze dryer is an amazing machine and has run like a charm without any glitches.

We have the oiless pump and it’s surprisingly quiet. We have the dryer in our basement and barely know it’s running. I have cleaned out my freezer of vegetables freez drying them in anticipation of this years harvest.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the machine and the timely way our questions have been addressed from the company.
