I have been wanting a Harvest Right freeze dryer for years and finally was able to purchase one. The customer service was great, and the delivery was superbly handled. As soon as I was able to set up my new freeze dryer, I began emptying my freezer, purchasing meat on sale at the grocery store and producing batch after batch of perfectly freeze-dried food. My freeze dryer has been going constantly for days and days, and I don't foresee stopping any time soon. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner! I love my Harvest Right freeze dryer.

I purchased a Harvest Right Medium size Freezer Dryer. Right from the start it was having problems getting the pressure for the vacuum under 1000 mTorr in order for the pump to work. The tech I work with was David Morrey. David was very knowledgable and helpful in guiding me through the procedures for testing for a vacuum leek. Then there became another issue became apparent issue. At this point David arranged for my freeze dryer to be picked up and I new one sent to me. Yes, this was frustrating at first but David stayed on top of it. He often took my call when I reached out to him but when he couldn't called back within a reasonable time. Once the new one was received he stayed in contact checking in to make sure everything was going well. The new freeze dryer works great!! Love it. Thanks David for your help and patience with scheduling appointments to work with me around my busy schedule and sticking with me on this till you were sure the new was up and running and working properly.

We really like our harvest right freeze dryer. We love being able to make our own freeze-dried food. Getting a hold of customer service can be tricky though. As we are needing to replace the relay board on our harvest right machine, and I didn't get a response for my help ticket so needed to make some calls to finally get a hold of someone who was helpful.

I love my Harvest Right freeze dryer. It has been a life changer for me. I love being able to freeze dry my own meals. The only bad thing is having to take it in if I don’t want to do my own repairs. I wish they had repairmen for home visits.

Customer service is super helpful which is great because the machines break down often.

It's been a very trying process as my first machine had to be sent back . This new machine had to have an activation code every time I turn it on. Was not told I would have to start troubleshooting constantly with a brand new machine. The Tech support had been pretty good and the only reason I haven't given up.

I have had my freeze dryer long enough now to have run 40 batches in it and felt this was sufficient to give a knowledgeable review. My unit came with everything in good working order and instructions were easy to follow. There is a bit of a learning curve, but nothing too complicated. I have currently done a wide variety of foods in my freeze dryer, and everything has turned out fantastic. I love preserving my own food, and this has been one of the best decisions and purchases. I’ve made so far. Big thumbs up for Harvest Right!

I am absolutely use the more than I ever thought I would. It is my favorite piece of equipment next to my car. Their customer service is excellent However, I have been a bit unlucky when it comes to my freeze dryer. When it was delivered, the screen was glitching, and I had to pay to have it replaced by my third batch. Less than two years later my oil-less pump has gone out. We just discovered that our original pump has been discontinued & it’s going to be quite expensive to replace. I am convinced that our experience has been a fluke because my sister has had her Harvest Rite for several years with no issues. I wish the warranty had more coverage & that they would stand behind their product a bit better. I like to think we’re all just doing the best we can so here we are…

We love our HR freeze-drier! We have the large size and use it non-stop for our business. It holds up very well to constant use and have never had any issues with the machine itself. We do recommend placing the machine in a well ventilated area in an air conditioned space for it to perform the most efficient. Warmer air makes the machine work harder (learned from research). Technical support has always been top notch for us, and helped to resolve any questions we have had. Looking forward to getting additional machines.

This thing is amazing! We didn't buy it for candy, surprisingly. Our goal was to freeze dry our garden-grown produce, and it's been fantastic. No complaints so far. To maintain a continuous food supply, get additional trays. This allows you to have food ready while other batches are drying. However, the user manual could be improved as it's confusing. I watched several YouTube videos, but most of them were for older versions (pre version 5) and focused on setting freezing and drying hours. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with this purchase!

I have used my machine for 3yrs now. I recently had an issue and I needed to go through a set of diagnostic procedures in order to determine what the real problem was...Shai at Harvest Rite customer support surpassed anything I could have ever expected!

She was beyond knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the procedure....she even initiated a zoom call to help walk me through the diagnostics.

She was extremely punctual and responded faster then i could have hoped for.

I was able to get my freeze dryer fixed at Harvest Right Thanks to her help....

They were empathetic and understanding....and basically took care of everything....

Our family has bought two freeze dryers from Harvest Right since 2017 - the medium and, last year, the large. Since then, we've freeze dried thousands of pounds of food, both produce from our garden and prepared food such as soups. Our medium machine has had some age-related problems (we've burned out two vacuum pumps; not surprising if you consider the volume of food we send through the machine each harvest season), but overall they've been great to have as another tool for food preservation.

I've been very happy with the machine itself, but the tech support and customer service is also excellent. They've helped us through several small hiccups and have been very generous in giving us a discount when our vacuum pump died just out of warranty. Overall, we will definitely continue purchasing from Harvest Right. Their service and their product are worth it!

May 2021. I had my first problem this past week. Jonathan Dowden from Harvest Right told me step by step how to fix the problem. All it was was a relay

Switch that needed to be pushed down with a screw driver. Easy fix. When you buy a Harvest Right you also have a company that is there for you. If you are considering buying one, go for it. You won’t be sorry. My only regret is not buying a large instead of a medium size

I love my medium Harvest Right. I purchased my medium in March of 2023. I have used it every day since with no issues. I wish I had bought the large, but needing a dedicated breaker kept me from going that route. I have done milk, eggs, and many types of fruit. Leftovers, avocados, cereal bars, hamburgers (raw and cooked). So many things I have that I want to freeze dry. It will be running all year for sure. I am currently going through the freezer and the stuff I canned in 2020. I had some cherries/blueberries that were water bathed canned in March of 2020. I pureed them and used the dividers to make fruit squares for things like oatmeal, cereal, milkshakes, smoothies, etc. No wasted food because it got old. There is a learning curve, and you have to maintain the machine as recommended. But so far everyone loves the stuff that I have done. The accessories are not cheap but they do help in the process. A second set of trays are a must. I wish I had a third set. Some things could be improved but they are minor. Things like having to put something under the front of the machine so that it drains as it is defrosting. Nothing that I cannot work around and well worth the peace of mind of having long-term food storage. If you are thinking of buying long-term food storage this machine will pay for itself in no time. Catching foods on sale and doing my leftovers will be big savings. I had been on the fence for a long while on whether I would actually use it and if it would it be worth it and I should have done it much sooner. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

I have owned my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer since 2017 (medium). I first bought it to do 72 hour kits and did 50 kits each with 12 meals and 6 snacks. The food turned out great. I have done meat, fruit and vegetables as well as ice cream and candy. I also found it handy to freeze dry leftovers for later use. I have had very few problems with my machine. I have had to replace my oil pump several times but have never upgraded my pump as I didn’t have a problem changing and filtering the oil.

Freeze drying has added a whole different element to our family's ability to store food. Anytime we have had issues we are able to call the 800#, and get over the phone help. Happy with our purchase however there have been glitches like factory resets and needing authorization codes to run. I think the problem has been solved however frustrating when trying to use. Our garden is in and we are excited about new opportunities to freeze dry.

We ordered a medium-sized freeze dryer and we are super happy with our purchase! It is really easy to use, works super well and the food comes out perfect. Our favourite snack so far is cinnamon-covered freeze-dried apples! If you need extra dry time, it is super easy to program. We didn't upgrade the pump because doing the oil changes has been very easy. This is a super great product for food preservation (including from large garden harvests) - highly recommend it!

Thought about getting a Harvest Right freeze dryer for a long time. I have no plan to ever use it for business and wasn’t sure I could justify it for just personal use. So glad we finally got it. I had no idea I would use it for as much as I do. I have had it for months now and it has ran almost nonstop one batch after another. I thought it would be mostly just for long term food storage but loving it for snacks and making meal prep so convenient. I found a Harvest Right freeze drying group on Facebook that is an incredible source of information and everyone is so helpful sharing their tips and tricks that it helped tremendously with how intimidated I was the first couple batches. Everything is so easy and intuitive that it really is foolproof.

I have a large garden and a family of 4. Even with canning, a lot of food would be wasted. This machine is the perfect solution for storing all of your hard work long term! The price of the machine can be difficult to justify initially, but I have been nothing but happy with the performance of the machine and with the Harvest Right representatives! I have never had a problem with the machine, it simply works right out of the box. The instructions and support that are provided are excellent.
