Full Coverage feature - VERY difficult!!
I received a communication from someone names Alexandr acknowledging the owed reimbursement by full coverage and asking for banking information. That was provided but funds have not been received after two weeks!!
VERY difficult company to work with!!
The worst car rental ever
This company is a complete fraud, we booked a rental paid in full I was told they a shuttle at the airport , when we arrived we could not find the so call company RIDE no one ever heard of them . When we call them we got ring no answer.
We took a cab to their office it was an empty lot . File a case they refused to reimbursed us claiming we did not pick up the vehicle. Complete scammers they should not be in business.
EconomyBookings.com wrong about airport shuttle services
Economy Bookings said the car rental company had a shuttle to and from the airport, and that the shuttle was 24 hours service. The car rental company (Saferide) did offer a shuttle, but only 7am-9pm.
This was a big problem since my flight landed at 11pm and then departed at 7am. I had to make arrangements with someone else to give me a ride from the airport, and then back to the rental place the next day to pick up the car. The other big problem was the car rental company itself was a scam.
They quoted $55 online, and I paid $17 at the time of booking. But when I got to the rental car company location, they said I could not use my robust auto insurance. They said I had to purchase theirs, and after insurance and several other bogus upcharges, the actual rental cost would have been $606 plus the $17 I already paid.
So I had to call back my ride, and have them drop me off at another rental place, which was a pretty big hassle for both me and my ride. So both Economy bookings.com and the rental car place (Saferide) were terrible.
Economy Bookings...Complete Runaround!!
Claim submitted end of July 2025...all documents provided. Company denied knowing about the claim so all documents sent a second time.
"Senior Manager" Jamal directed me to download 3 apps that ultimately wired over $3,000 TO them that, luckily, my bank stopped. Senior Manager Jamal threatened to donate the money to charity if I didn't keep working with him to fix it!!
Now (today) a fourth app they wanted me to use, LemFi, is not working! Will not allow me to log in (yes, I double checked the password)! Even if I were to get in, I remain skeptical using it since I suspect it would be like the other three that had "glitches"! When I asked the new “Senior Manager”, identified as Wayne, if he would trust this process had he nearly lost $3,000, and guess what…he would not answer even though he expects me to trust it!!
Either way this is way more work and stress for a policyholder to go through which is a reason all by itself to never use Economy Bookings!! I've spent several hours of stress dealing with them over five months!!
Finally, since they have no physical presence in the US there is no legal recourse such as small claims court (Jamal suggested I take them to court knowing that cannot work)!
Finally, at best this is a company with a terrible reimbursement system and staffed with incompetents, and at worst they are scammers!! There are many documented examples of people experiencing similar losses! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM ECONOMY BOOKINGS. IT IS CRITICAL TO NOTE IT WAS ALMOST THE EXACT SAME AS PREVIOUS PRE-FORMATTED RESPONSES WHERE THEY SOUND EMPATHETIC THEN ASK TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE, FILL OUT A FORM, AND PROVIDE DETAILS OF THE ISSUE(S), AND CONTACT INFORMATION! THIS IS A CIRCULAR PROCESS AND THE SAME ISSUES GET RECREATED!! AGAIN, INCOMPETENCE WITH A POOR REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS, OR SCAMMERS! DO NOT TRUST THIS!!
This has been going on for 6 months!! They want me to quit, but I will continue to re-post every week on multiple platforms until there is resolution!!
Renter Beware
I booked a car and added full coverage through Economy Bookings. When I arrived at rental company they wanted an additional insurance amount (2 times my car rental plus full coverage) before I could take the car.
I did not take the car. I have requested a refund from Economy Bookings but they have declined (I have written and spoken to 5 individuals) It is all in the hidden print within the contract. e.g. Full Coverage is really not insurance it is just a fee that says Economy Bookings will pay for damages if the rental company insurance doesn't pay so guess what you are paying twice for same thing.

Lotus Car Rental (suggest you NEVER use them!) claimed there was $787 in damages which, we feel, is a gross exaggeration given just a couple of scratches. The scratches, as far as we know, were possibly inflicted by their own people when they took possession for a couple of hours to perform a state mandated inspection!
Nonetheless, we paid the damages as claimed and submitted a claim for reimbursement to the insurance company at the beginning of August. They’ve never acknowledged the claim, except to ask for pictures (sent), but otherwise are very difficult to reach requiring significant time on the phone!! The last contact, now at the end of September, we are still being told it is “under review” and we “just have to wait”! Meantime, there is no communication from then updating us on the progress…no phone calls, texts, or emails!!
I have been in the insurance business for nearly 45 years and never seen a simple claim take over two months, especially without explanations or updates! I am starting to believe this is a scam!!

We have attempted to get help from customer service/help center per the reply given by Economy Bookings, but to no avail. First, it take a lot of hoops to reach a real person (in Latvia, it seems), then double talk. The first guy (named "Joe") told us that he saw the claim and that we had provided all the requested documents, but could find no progress on the claim and that help center was closed and they'd get back to us. No one did and this was almost two weeks ago!! The second person mysteriously dropped the call, and the third to us to send everything to a different email address. looking back at earlier submissions it was sent to the correct address the last person stated!!
It has become clear that Economy Bookings claim department has no intention of honoring, communicating, helping, nor reimbursing us for the claim submitted 90+ days ago!! Recommend you steer clear of this insurance scam!!

No support from economy booking
I would like to warn people , not to rent true economy booking, because this is scam , they take money and than actual suplier of rental car can abuse you all they want and economy booking doesent do nothing after you fill out complain.
This March 2025 we rent car, arrive at airport , at rental boot no person, waiting 15 minutes, no one there to serve us. Than we call , they answer and tell us to wait , they went to car wash apparently , we received car hour and half late, after arogant unprofessional careless treatment from personal, we file complaint to ecomy booking, no assistance.
Identical maltreatment from avia rental car when we were returning car. No one at parking or at their office or at aéroport boot.
Again after phone call the order us to wait for them, which we couldn’t becauce we had to check in for flight, finally arogant person appeared and took key but insist that we go to parking to check the car. I told him I make video of car fuel full and condition of car and left on our flight. Now four months after no reaction on our call to complain or on our message explaining everything on their system.
So avoid them!!

Fraudulent Website
If I could give them negative rate, I would do it.
We booked a rental car to pick up on July 04, 2025. Under the policy we agreed with, they never mentioned that we need to follow the rental company, or we need to pay extra for insurance. The company they use will try to charge you hidden fees for insurance and also tell you sorry we have different policies than what's on the website you need to speak with the agency, not us.
Worst customer service especially at the rental place called Routes Car Rental - 3035 Orlando Dr. Mississauga -905-677-9994 very incompetent staff that work there that have zero customer service experience and any knowledge. They are trying to hide you the correct policy and play around with the policy to catch you.
Then later, when you don't want to give the rental company the extra hidden fee, and end of having no rental car. They use that against you for no-show and deny for refund. Please protect yourself from this company.
That exactly happened to me. I had already paid full coverage to EconomyBookings .comBut at location of pick up I was informed that they do not accept the 3rd party insurance to i had to pay an extra $24.00 per day.
I tried to get the payment of $113.00 paid to EconomyBookings but after several attempts they do not even respond back.This company is as bad as Bookings.com Not sure if they belong to the same group. If not, they sure are identical in their policies or i should say scam.Last year I had booked a boat trip with EconomyBookings.com for next day.
They sent me an email back that there were not enough people to warrant the trip so they cancelled the trip. Because it was already 8 pm, when I cancelled and requested my money back they told me that is not their policy. I can reschedule, but this was out last day. I had blocked the payment with American Express. That is the only way to cover yoyurself.

I followed the cancellation policy but after I cancel my booking there is no link for refund to be transfer back to credit card.
I call their contact number, and it was a spooked from another number.
They send me a fraudulent link to get my credit refund to my credit card,

The rental company downgraded my rental and told me to contact Economy for a difference refund. After an “investigation” Economy says the company claims to have given me a 15% at time of pick up.
This is a lie! I received no discount. I told Economy this… and they immediately stopped responding to my emails. Reading the other reviews and Economy’s responses… this review will receive an excuse.
I’ve already contacted the BBB and am about to post to my 1.2M followers on Instagram and 2.2M on TikTok and X. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Take ALL your money NO 100% refund cancelation.
No refund by cancelation. First they take a commission and when you want to collect the rest of your money they delete your booking so you can't even take the money out of the wallet.
Criminal organisation and by mailing no answer.

Awful customer service
Terrible customer service. Cannot get in touch with anyone that can help. They refund your money to a “wallet” on their website. Then you have to go thru the whole process again to get another refund from the “wallet” back to your original payment source.
Finally got a refund after more than a week of trying. Website says 100% refund if done more than 48hrs before booking. I got a partial refund, not a full refund and the reservation is more than a week in advance. Never again.

Insurance coverage not Valid in Mexico
I went to Mexico. Service level at the rental agency was good. My experience is that, when I rented the car, I purchased insurance because I was driving in another country. Come to find out, Economy Bookings insurance is not valid, so I had to purchase a second insurance from the rental company.
Nowhere does it state on their contract that their insurance is not valid outside of the United States. And of course, no refund!!!

Don't give your money to these crooks.
I wish I had looked at this review site before renting a car and buying insurance coverage from EconomyBookings.com. I will never use them again. I changed my travel plans and called them to cancel the car booking almost a month before I was scheduled to pick up the car.
Although they say a full refund is granted if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours in advance, they DO NOT FULLY REFUND; They charge a huge service fee. Additionally, they do not refund the money to your credit card. Instead, they put it into a "Wallet," which is only accessible on their site, and the funds can only be used to rent another car through them.
Moreover, when I tried to cancel and get a refund for the full coverage insurance I paid for, they refer me to their website and cannot assist you in getting the refund. The upshot is that thay do not refund your insurance payment.
THEY SEEM TO ENGAGE IN CRIMINALLY FRAUDULENT PRACTICES for which the customer has no recourse. DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE CROOKS

dishonest company/don't do business
I paid in full for a rental with the necessary insurance to drive in Panama. Be very careful of their 'no show' policy. It doesn't really matter whether you showed up or not. If for any reason that you don't pick up the care, you're considered a 'no show'.
Trust me. That's anybody who isn't happy with their reservation. But I did show and I presented all necessary documentation to prove that I was a legal driver and that I was the person to rent a car that is fully paid. The agency then refused to rent me their car and I had to leave and go elsewhere.
And the reason that they refused to rent me their car is that they claimed the insurance package that Economy Bookings sell isn't honored by them. I rented for 26 days and Economy Bookings won't even take give me 24 days back after taking out the 48 hour cancellation notice penalty.
These people are crooked.

I booked a car in Milan. When I got there no answered the phone number I was given to get my car. After 2 hours of trying I gave up and rented from another company at 5 times the cost. Economy Booking has refused to be responsible for the increased cost, despite the fact that they failed to provide what I contracted with them for. They are very polite as they are stealing your money
Their insurance is not valid in Mexico, so don't buy it. Better to buy insurance in Mexico at rental office.
