Dr. Marty Nature's Blend Reviews - What Are Customer Saying?

Toby, our rescued, mixed breed (Yorkie/Min Pin) has had increasing GI issues over the years culminating in a diagnosis of pancreatitis this past winter. He now eats a prescription low fat dog food that he thoroughly enjoys. But we’ve stopped giving him any treats whatsoever except for pill pockets. After reading about Dr. Marty’s Nature’s Blend, I thought I’d give it a try as a treat for Toby. Since he’s used to dry kibble, I decided to feed it as is; also thought it would smell less fishy in its dry state. Well he absolutely goes nuts over it. Since he’s only 10 pounds, we give him 5 - 10 nuggets per day. Our veterinarian told us to be extremely cautious about feeding Toby raw food since he’s prone to GI problems because their clinic has been seeing increasing numbers of salmonella, listeria, etc. associated with raw food. I’m hoping that because Nature’s Blend is freeze dried and not fresh frozen that the chances of contamination is much less because I’d hate to deprive Toby of this favorite treat.

Our 8 lb. dog has been a reluctant eater but loved this food! He smells it when I get it ready and is anxious to eat!

THIS DOG FOOD CAN BE EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO OLDER DOGS W/KIDNEY ISSUES. WE WERE NOT EVEN AWARE OUR DOG HAD THIS AND WAS DOING FINE TILL WE SWAPPED HIM OVER - 3 WKS LATER HE STOPS EATING AND LITERALLY ALL HIS KIDNEY/ LIVER AND THYROID ENZYME LEVELS WERE THRU THE ROOF DUE TO THIS FOOD AND THE LIVER TREATS. THIS ALMOST KILLED OUR DOG WHO IS A FAMILY MEMBER. NO WARNINGS WHATSOEVER ABOUT THE HIGH LEVELS OF PROTEIN AND FAT CAN BE VERY HARMFUL TO OLDER DOGS. HIS VIDEO IS A POLITICAL BUNCH OF BS. OH AND BY THE WAY I NOW HAVE A $1200 VET BILL I HAVE TO PAY DUE TO THIS CRAP FOOD.

Whaaaaat? Dr.Marty's please explain?

This bag of dogfood is expensive. But well worth the cost. I'm convinced.

I ordered six bags. Because the price is in US dollars, it cost me a lot more as I am in Canada, I sucked it up. Then I was charged $50canadian in customs duty.

I emailed and cancelled my subscription, four days later they sent another six bags and charged my credit card. I called and was told that I cancelled too late, I was told to not accept the delivery and maybe, when they get it back, I might get a refund. The customer service rep was sarcastic and spoke to me like I was a half-wit. When I complained about his attitude, he told me not to bother complaining as he was the supervisor.

I’m now out another almost $300canadian for six bags of food. I am on a fixed budget and cannot afford it. I think I will have to cancel my credit card because I don’t trust DrMartys Nature’s Blend not to do it again. I would NEVER recommend anyone order this food.

Just received an email notifying I was charged $121.35 for Dr Marty ProPower Plus. Upon calling customer service they claimed it was a recurring order and refused to reimburse ubtil I returned the order. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. First off the garbage they sent did nothing. I absorbed this scam, only to have another $121.35 embezzled from my debit account.

I found the info video and reviews very informative. One exception is that on the bag is tells you how much to feed your fur friend but not how many servings per bag it provides. Which would be great info in determining how many bags to purchase for a subscription.

I still do not understand....for instance:How Much is in a bag for an 80 pound standard poodle to eat every day? Also is the subscription for once a week? If I have an 80 pound dog and there are only 16 oz in each bag how long would a bag last for my dog?

So in closing, what I believe everyone is trying to ask is what does one bag of the 16 oz make period?

We are trying to find out how much food the bag makes not how much food our dogs need on a personal breed preference.

My dog,a 20 month old chow chow,took to the food right away. Her stools were much smallerthanks to the lack of fillers in regular dry food.

The only problem is the price. We only budget $400/month for our food and this food is over half that amount per month. Being retired and on a fixed budget, I don't think we'll be able to keep her on it past this last shipment.

My 12 year old cockapoo or some such mix, has become a finciky eater over the past year or so. He has been home cooked fed for the most part, with occasional can of food. I tried mixing this in with his food and he seemed to love it at first. Now, he's back to finicky. I believe he had some digestive issues getting used to it, as you said may happen. I have decided to try smaller meals and that seems to be working. I give him a small serving in the morning, about 1/4 cup, and he is eating that readily now. Two other meals are meat and vegis, some occasional grains.

He is not a friendly dog, barks at everyone and has bit a few people who dared come close. To me, he's sweet and lovable. So, some differences I have noticed: He is much better behaved and happier when I walk him; less lunging (I'm a terrible trainer), tail held high. This food will be worth the high price if it indeed helps with his aggression and fears. When my family came over for Easter, he seemed genuinely happy to see them. They all noticed the difference. As for fear, we had some thunderstorms yesterday and last night. He woke me with his shaking so hard, the bed shook.

I'm hopeful, though.

My dog is a 60 lb lab mix who loves the taste of your food. Of course, I have yet to find ANY dog food this chow hound doesn't love. I mix it in 33/67 with her regular store kibble because at your prices, I simply can't afford to give use it as her exclusive source of nutrition. I am not yet ready to commit to a subscription relationship with the Dr. Marty brand, but I will continue using it as a supplement for the time being. I could be induced by a seriously large regular discount. Otherwise, I am on the fence about this dog food.

I was sucked into watching Dr Marty's video about his product and wasn't totally convinced but thought I'd give it a try due to the reviews. Everything he says about the food has proven to be true. I have a 13 year old Shih Tzu and over the past few years he has become extremely picky about his food. So much so, he started to lose weight. I made homemade food for him which he grew tired of, I bought the expensive fancy stuff which he also grew tired of. Now when I'm preparing Dr Marty's food for him, he sits right next to my feet and whines until he gets it. He licks the bowl for 2 minutes once he's done eating. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. In addition, his coat is shinier, his skin isn't as dry and itchy, and he used to limp on his back right leg and no more! It's absolutely incredible. Worth every penny. Thank you Dr Marty!

I AM SO SORRY. MY NAME IS SANDY WE LOST 3 DOGS OVER THE YEARS FROM CANCER ALSO. MY HEART STILL HURTS AND I DO NOT THINK I WILL EVER GET OVER THE GRIEF. WE ARE NOW 76 AND HAVE RESCUED 2 DOGS ONE QUITE OLD THAT HAD A HORRIBLE PAST LIFE. SHE IS SO HAPPY EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK HER 3 YEARS TO HAVE HER OWN WONDERFUL PERSONALITY. SHE IS 13 AND OUR OTHER RESCUE WE GOT WHEN HE WAS 7 MONTHS OLD. HE STILL HAS SOME ISSUES THAT HE MAY NEVER GET OVER. THE HUSBAND WAS AN ABUSER. THEN 10 YRS AGO A KITTEN JUST UNDER 6 MONTHS OLD CHOSE TO MAKE HER HOME WITH US. SHE STILL HUNTS FOR FOOD. HOWEVER ALL THREE COS US MORE THAN OUR MONTHLY GROCERY BILL.

When I put in an order it offered a big discount on 12 bags so I thought I’d go for it. Well that was $300 for this special. I kept emailing when I didn’t receive it after 10 days. When I called they would say don’t worry it will be late. It’s 2 weeks. I had to go buy Stella and chewy s which she does like better but went for the discount. No email has ever been answered. I can’t get anyone to talk to and all I want now is a refund .

Hi this is Carolyn and very impressed with the food. Alergy s are gone. Both my dogs gain alot of weight, what do you recommend besides walking them.

Sam, a Jack Russel, took a little while to try Natures Blend but he seems to like it. He prefers it dry rather than reconstituted. I have not removed his usual fare. He still chooses his alternative dry food and regular canned food sometimes. He’s always been a finicky eater so nothing has changed much. Sam is ~14 years old and his health may be failing. He has an occasional burst of energy but it’s hard to attribute it to Natures Blend. We really love our dog and want the best for him but I’m not sure I will continue using Natures Blend because it is crazy expensive!

Both my dogs dived into their first bowl of Nature's Blend and ate it all and this continued for several days. Then it was like someone turned their switch off. They will eat it only occasionally now like a snack or not at all. I can't honestly say what the problem is. I don't know what to do. Like the old saying goes, "the jury is still out out on this one".

I've tried 15 bags, in the beginning, she ate it up right away. now she picks at it. and whatever energy she got, in the beginning, is now gone. I had to put her on dog food that is grain free gluten free with meats and veggies all good ones thanks to your explanation. but bottom line I can't spend this kind of money but thanks for the experience ad education

My two Mini Australian Shepherds are puppies of 1 year and 6 months and 1 year old. Sammy is a very picky eater and Tank will eat "anything" that doesn't move or run away. I used the mixture as provided by Dr. Marty and slowly introduced them to the new food. Sammy sniffed at the bowl and turned away and sat down on the porch looking at me with "that" look. Tank sniffed at it for a bit nibbled around and now will pick through the regular dog food and find Dr. Marty's brand and eat it first. He is still hungry and will continue eating the regular food until its all gone. After about 10 days Sammy was nibbling and tasting the new food. He now picks through the regular food to find Dr. Marty's brand and loves the new food. Both have eaten dry food since they were old enough to eat regular dog food. So I serve them Dr. Marty's and their regular dog food dry, a mixture about half and half. They are alert, energetic, coats look good, and they are very smart doggies! I would give them "only" Dr. Marty's but, it is a bit cost prohibitive for me right now, so mixing it with regular food fits my budget.

Did not notice any changes

I purchased the product for my senior pom because of her aging and health problems. Unfortunately, even after hydrating the pellets, she still found it difficult to chew because of the poor condition of her teeth. The same is true with the snacks. Many of the pieces were just too hard for her to eat. My adult, pom, however, really loves the product and enjoyed every morsel. He is ten and she is close to 15.

My 2 Chinese Cresteds, 1 true hairless and 1 powerpuff have been on Fromm grainfree since they could eat dog food, they are both 4 now, but they often seemed "bored" with mealtime. I came across the ad for Dr. MARTYS (can't remember where) and since I often heard other Crested owners claims of the benefits of feeding raw I thought what could I lose and the fact that it was freeze dried was very appealing to me. From the very first introduction of Dr. Marty's with their Fromm they picked out the Dr. Marty's (I didn't reconstitute it) and left their Fromm in their dishes and looked at me as if to say...where's the rest of my half cup of Dr. Marty's, you can have the Fromm. From that moment on I just fed the Dr. Marty's. They took to it immediately with no problems! I have seen the difference in my hairless's skin and my puff's hair. They are so taken by Dr. Marty's that I even use pieces as treat rewards. Their bathroom habits are very predictable now and not any problem that I can find in the switch over in their food except that they love mealtime now and it pleases me to see how happy they are with Dr. Marty's . We are all happy campers and are sold on all the promises made about Dr. Marty's so much so that I have signed on for your subscription plan! Thank you for this wonderful food from the bottom of my heart. I know both my boys are happier and will be healthier because of it.

This review doesn't even deserve one star. I decided to buy this product for our 12 year old Australian cattle dog mix after carefully scrutinizing every ingredient to make sure that it is beneficial for dogs. The first time this powder was given to her (full scoop recommended for her weight), she had a lot of belching afterwards. Not thinking much about it, we continued to give her the powder, except with half of a scoop. One week later my dog vomited three times in the morning. Three weeks after that she was violently sick with vomiting and explosive diarrhea which turned bright red with blood within 2 hours. After rushing her to the vet, the vet took one look at her stool sample and recommended we take her to the emergency animal hospital, where she was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. She was given IV fluids and luckily was stable enough to recuperate at home. It took her several days to fully recover with the help of five different medications. She was not given any change in her diet at this time except for the addition of the pro power plus which makes me strongly suspect she had a severe allergic reaction to this product that almost cost her her life. Unfortunately other than the stomach upset happening one week after taking this product my dog couldn't signal to us how much pain or discomfort she must have been feeling. This product may work for some dogs, but almost killed our beloved dog. I strongly urge those considering this product to think twice about purchasing it, because IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK. STAY AWAY!!!
