Mis leading billing practices
I purchased 2 box of plain standard single page checks for $5.99.
I did standard shipping & handling for $2.95 and tax was to be .63 cents for a grand total of $9.57. This was the amount quoted to me when I placed the order online. This was the amount am email sent to me a day later said. Imagine my surprise when they took $27.18 out of my bank account. When I called customer service they said well you ordered 7 years ago and since you ordered once in the past it costs much more. I asked why that wasn't quoted to me on the follow up email stating what they would be charging and they had no answere...but the checks have been mailed so toolate so sorry. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she said it would b a long wait...I said that is perfectly fine. After a half hour she came back and acted like she couldn't hear me and hung up. I can't give a low enough rating for this company!
Free shipping scam to charge $14.99 monthly!
I got charged $14.95 per month for something I don't know about, didn't order or approve, after ordering checks with Bradford. When I called them they said this would get added if I chose free shipping!
This is a blatant scam. Their ad says 'free shipping' clearly, nowhere does it say you will get charged 14.95 monthly thereafter. Badford isn't that good!
They need to get reported to FTC.
Disreputable
scam ring
If I could give bradford exchange a zero I would, ordered a ring around christmas, a total fake, looked absolutely nothing like the picture, a scam, i was ripped off of over 300 dollars, never again will I order from this site.
Bradford is crooked! Beware of charges after the purchase!!
I purchased an item as a gift. I paid full price including shipping and tax. No problem with receiving the product.
About a month later they charged my CC $14.95. I quickly cancelled my card and called Bradford the next morning. They told me it was a charge for the reward program I signed up for to get free shipping. When I told them I paid for the shipping and had declined the reward offer, they said they would refund the money. They are crooked.
Don't Waste Your Money
Way overrated
Never again!
I made the mistake of ordering a set of commemorative coins, at the request of my wife, using my smart phone. It took a month and a half before I was notified by e-mail that the first of the series had been shipped, and another month before I received it.
Only when I read the receipt that came with it did I realize that I had authorized the Bradford Exchange to take payment from my credit card for an unspecified number of items, at unspecified intervals, over an unspecified period of time! I went to the website to check, and sure enough, there was no information as to how many items were in the series.
I had assumed that I would at least be advised when the next item was available and would be given the opportunity to approve payment. I sent a message through the company’s website voicing my concerns and asking how many items the series consisted of and how much it would cost me. I received a reply from somebody who clearly had not read my message and did not reply to my question.
I responded asking her please to reply to the question I had asked, and two days later I got a reply from a second rep (let’s call him “D”) saying, “you have already received a reply from one of our representatives”. I replied, pointing out that the first rep had NOT answered my question, and asking D to read my previous two messages and reply to my questions.
Two days later D e-mailed me again, still did NOT answer my original question, and merely informed me that the next item in the series had been shipped, something I could see for myself by logging on to may account online. I wrote back pointing out that he had still not replied to my question. He had, however, advised me that I could cancel my subscription at any time. Since he had told me that if I had any questions, he would be pleased to answer them, I asked him how I would go about cancelling.
I did NOT ask him to cancel my order, as I was trying to make up my mind whether to continue or to cut my losses. In the meantime, the second item turned up, and the shipment included a display case with space for 15 coins. This at least gave me an indication of just how much I had committed myself to paying. I reluctantly decided that, since I now had two coins from the series, I may as well receive all 15 items, but two days later I received another e-mail from D, finally informing me that the series consisted of 16 coins (I’m not sure why the box only has room for 15), and advising me that he had CANCELLED my subscription, “as requested”!
I had actually decided that I might as well accept that I was going to have to pay something like $1400, but thanks to D’s total inability to read and respond to the customer’s enquiries, I was now left with two coins and a box for 15. I wrote back and told him that all I had NOT asked him to cancel my subscription! All I did was ask him how I would go about this. He did say I could resume my subscription later if I chose to, but as I said to him, I wouldn’t take that chance, as it would probably be misunderstood and I would end up paying for the whole series again from the start.
So, not only did D ensure that I will NEVER again order anything from the Bradford Exchange, but he also lost well over a thousand dollars for his employer!
I have nothing to say about the Bradford Exchange’s products (though a lot of them seem to me to be rather tacky), but frankly, the information given on their website and in their catalogue is inadequate and misleading. Moreover, their customer service is probably about the worst I have ever been subjected to. And believe me, I have experienced a LOT of really bad service!
To be on the safe side, I asked D to confirm that my subscription was, indeed, cancelled and that he would not make any further changes to my account. Not surprisingly, five days later I have received no reply.

COMPLAINT
I ordered Wren Music Box on August 29. Delivery certified 4-6 weeks. I have e-mailed their Customer Service 5 times without reply. I have rung their contact number 10 plus times - we are very busy, try later. This was supposed to be a gift to my niece with Cerebral Palsy before I leave permanently to work in a leper colony. I will buy another gift.
I am going to apply for intercession on the part of Consumer Protection in Tasmania. Are there any other websites, through which I can notify potential customers of the dire service of Bradford Exchange. Terry Bell. 7/15 Karlson St. Rosebery Tas 7470
SCAM
Definitely a scam! I ordered one item which did arrive but was cheaply made so they definitely overcharged. The item was sent twice more and they charged me three times over three months. I tried to call their business number on the invoice and it's been disconnected and their local office does not exist!!
Huge Scam
Don't buy from here
Ordered a set of silver coins from them. It's been 8 days so far and haven't received it. Delivery said 2 to 3 business days. Have tried to contact through website and email have got nothing back. Also when I put in the tracking number to ups or the postal service it says the number isn't listed.
Don't order from them . They will charge your card every month without you acknowledging it. They are a predatory company!

Avoid, Avoid and Avoid
Would rate at -100 if I could. Ordered overpriced decorations for Disney focused granddaughters. After 2 months I called customer service - what a joke!! I was told they were lost in transit and amount was refunded. I was surprised when, 7 months later, I got a demand for payment by a debt collection agency.
I filed a complaint with BBB and was resolved.
Avoid this vendor - incompetent and sleazy.
Payment plan trick
They will steal from you.......
False advertising. put in a payment subscription... The add on Instagram I posted it is a scam. Had a response from someone.
"It is as advertise. Then started being an ******. I Posted Scam. Responded back to me using my name..... And, calling me a goober. Then got an tag saying something about my account. They got kicked off Instagram.
Had no idea how I signed up for close to $1,000 in payment plan.. they were happy to cancel.
Very poor service Zero
Why can't I receive this item. I have been waiting for quite some time. I am So disappointed.
I have called on several occasions to no avail. Nothing but I'm so sorry and t understand. It will get there next month.
Well That has been going on for over a year. Isn't there any accountability with the Bradford exchange. It would be nice to receive an email indicating the it is not arriving this month.
What do I need to do to get the t last item I ordered over a year ago. I'm sorry but I gonna have to rate you ZERO
Beware of this company!
My 97 year old Mother asked me to look for a package she ordered Dec. 29, 21. Her check cleared the bank Jan. 14, 22. Several emails to customer service, no response.
Finally got a cs rep by phone. Claims they never received an order, yet they cashed the check. They won't issue a refund without a copy of the cashed check, but they will not accept an email attachment, and their fax drops calls during transmission.
I reached out on Facebook in response to one of their ads and another cs rep sent me a contact link that does not work. Scam?
Absolute nightmare
TERRIBLE
Definitely gets into my top 3 worst experiences of the lifetime ever!
Received a personalized item with the spelling mistake. Terrible customer service. Firstly, everytime need to wait 1.5 to 2 hours to be connected to an operator. Been told someone will contact me via 24h.
Nothing happened in 4 days. Been told that they can not issue the refund via original payment method (Paypal), only by cheque which needs to be waited for ages and sounds so ridiculous and dodgy. Everything is just terrible starting with waiting times for the item to arrive finishing to customer service.
How do they stay in business with such horrible delivery and customer service? The CS reps on the phone or by email, are callous and unfriendly - and definitely do NOT want to help you solve THEIR problem that THEY created. Do the owners know that the employees are like this?
