Not worth the trouble!
The Ryoko probably works, but support is nearly non-existent. Even changing the default password is very difficult, if not impossible. Without changing the password, anyone who knows the default password can connect. Returning the unit for credit is not possible. Kiss time and expense good bye!
The worse company I have ever dealt with. A scam from the start
My experience exactly. I have two of the devices I have never even removed from the shipping package. I my case though, I never hit a submit button to order the items. A total scam, sham, thank-you ma'am!
I complained to the FTC, but with government bureaucracy the way it is, I'm sure nothing will come from it. Buyer beware.
I'll make someone a great deal if they want to purchase the two I have from a "local" US address.

If I could give them 0 stars or take stars away, I would. I am in Whitehorse, YT, traveling with my Ryokos and getting no service. I am going to be on the hook for a whole bunch of wifi. I bought these darn things to prevent that.

I had problems with wifi, saw their add, and bought one, just one for less than 80 euros, the company debited my account 249,00, i called them immediately not three hours had passed an the operator said that "the order can not be cancelled because it was already shipped", yes friday night, 2300 paris time,,,,,,,,,,not even Amazon can do it. this is bull, lies a fraud
few days later, 10 or 12, i receive an email saying that the appareil was delivered, i wrote again, and denied it, this people are such a fraud that the manager wrote in an email, to look around the buildings where i lived, and the post office and search. i answered of course, that i wanted the signature of the delivery, as proof, knowing that it was a lie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and so continue,,,,,,,,,,,no money, no return of the money taken from my credit card ilegally , and bull plus bull.

My exact situation in attempting to cancel the order, but I contacted them within 3 minutes and they said the order had already been processed. My problem is that I never did place th eorder, I was just looking at the device online, but I never clicked an order submit button. And somehow, the order they say I placed included 2 of the devices. Such a scam company. It costs more to send the items back that they stole from me to begin with. Buyer beware!

I was scammed. This thing is a piece of junk. Shipping, if it ever gets there will be $30 + 15% stocking fee!

Muama-Ryoko fraud alert!!!
After multiple attempts to contact a service representative and comply with Muama-Ryoko's onerous return policy and receiving the RMA to ship the product (including a lithium battery) to Lithuania the Muama-Ryoko representative couldn't provide which carrier to use. They say try Fed Ex, DHL or UPS. Don't waste your time they either won't accept the package or the cost is three times the value (which is by Muama-Ryoko designed as a scheme to defraud). Furthermore, they have a service rep named Joan Torres send ambiguous emails apologizing for the inconvenience, releasing the return provision of the contract, all the while sending the credit card bank defamatory false statements in opposition to the cancellation, falsely claiming the customer failed to return the product. Muama-Ryoko told me to keep the product an do what I want with it. Muama-Ryoko told the NYS Attorney General it was out of their hands. Do not purchase anything associated with this syndicate.

The same thing also happened to me
Same with me, except I got two when I didn't order ANY! I never submitted an order, but had connected to my PayPal account to review the item. After selecting No to all their attempts to add other items to order, it finally came back that I had ordered two of them. What a nightmare in trying to get the order cancelled (in 3 minutes, they said the order had been processed). I had to cancel my card as well. Stay as far away from this company and this device as you can.

As one reviewer reported, I too purchased ONE Ryoko system, somehow the amount changed to 4 and I was charged $220.00 for the products. Avoid the use of their online processing. It is clearly defective. And after I recognized the defect, I also IMMEDIATELY called in and made customer service. They pleasantly assured me that it would be corrected. After chatting, emailing, and call the support group, nothing was corrected.
Now, 25 days later I called until I reached a human. I was told they would offer a 20% discount if I kept the unordered product and receive a cookbook. Really. I said no.
The representative said to expect the RMA material within 10 minutes. It has been 4 hours. It is time to file BBB official complaints against companies that victimize buyers while promising to remediate matters quickly.
Avoid this company and file complaints if you have been injured by the practices of this organization.

My experience with your product has been a complete nightmare. I will let EVERYONE know how bad this entire interaction has been.
Here's my story:
I purchased ONE Ryoko system, somehow the amount changed to 4 and I was charged $220.00 for the products. I IMMEDIATELY called in and made customer service aware of the issue. When I say immediately, I mean less than ten seconds before I dialed back. I was told they had caught the order and they were able to change it to one and credit my card the difference. The representative said to expect the refund within 48 hours.
When I did not receive the refund, I called again and was told they were unable to stop the order and 4 had been shipped to me. When I told them I had previously been told the order was caught, the representative continued to repeat the same thing over and over stating the order had been sent and I would have to return the unwanted product in order to receive a refund. The representative would not respond to my questions regarding the fact that I was told the order had been caught and I would be refunded and when I asked for a supervisor, she said someone would have to call me back, which didn't occur until four days later.
The supervisor finally called and stated the same -I would have to return goods to get the refund. What they didn't say was that it would take over three weeks to get the products to be able to return them.
When I received the products, I called and got a Return Authorization to ship the products back. They had to be shipped to Thailand! This cost another $44.00. So, I am now out of the 220.00 plus 44.00 to return. I paid and shipped, sent the tracking information into Ryoko and again waited for my refund. On Saturday, I received the entire shipment back with the notification that it was being returned as it was "UNCLAIMED".
I am beyond displeased and would send all four back but it's obvious your company has zero interest in customer service or satisfaction.
To top it off, I did try to use the one I did order, and it was totally useless, searching for service message and then "your data plan has run out and you need to purchase another data plan.
I am hoping someone will rectify this issue by: Taking all four back and refunding my $264.00 or at minimum, take three back and send packing/shipping for return of the three and refund shipping of $44.00 and price of the three additional. This was ordered in March, and I have been out of these funds since then which has been a real burden.
I would appreciate a reply.

The most important thing to know is the people selling this device did not know you can change the text software to make it work for you and NO forced plans.
Hi, I'm a person who was one of those unhappy people who bought one of these. Reason when i went to reload data i was sent to another web site that you had to sign up to a contract. Well you do not have to do this. There is a web site out there that sells sim cards that you can buy the data on line through your visa for what ever mb you want. Now the good part of this there is no monthly plans. If you do not use the data for almost a year all you have to do is put $3.00 dollars towards your sim card to keep the account open. Now the thing you have to do is connect the ROYOKO to your computer and go inside and change the software text to the company that sells the sim card instructions. I have done this and i had to figure on how to do this myself. The router works great every time i use it. Oh the other thing is to go into your cellphone settings Android Or IOS apple and do the same change and you can use the sim card on them. I have 4 of them all work good, i just renew the data when needed. There is no information out there on how to do this to this kind of remote rotor. I looked at about 200 sim card card companies who sell the card but want you to sign a contract data plan with them. This sim card company does not. I do not want to say the name of it on here.
very vague,ambiguous review almost makes one feel like giving it one more last ditch effort to recoup part of the money lost in the original scam and not just download text now from google play already on the phone or pc and pay one time $2.99 for a sim card and be using it the whole time you wait 3-4 days to get the card with instructions on how to set up and no mention of rtoko or ryoko scams for another payout for a fake free anything that you want to hear until they have your money with canned damage control reviews which are yep you guessed it vague and ambiguous to wear the victim down to the point they give up and ryoku oko ruko ryoki keeps your money to finance another scam going unchecked by fcc or interpol due to incompetence in all ranks filled to the max with unqualified figures in the positions of control.

was in the ryoko inside by connected it to my computer. Use the sim cards sellers info to do it.

change the software text in by connecting it to your computer. Change it to the sim card that is being sold to you their info on how to do it. I did it on my own, figured it out how to make it work. Got 4 of them no problems after doing this.
EdwardGray, I'll happily sell you two of these "wonderful" devices to you for the price of one. You can perform your magic on them and potentially resell them and make a boat load of profit. Interested??? Thought not!
