I love this product and being able to create shelf stable food storage. I can preserve my garden harvest, take advantage of sales, and buy in bulk to save money and preserve the quality of my food. The customer service is excellent and always resolves any issues you may be experiencing, which was important to me since this is a very large financial investment. The only downside I see is the machine is pretty loud when it's running. But that's not a deal breaker. The results of freeze drying are amazing and the food tastes as good as it did fresh.

I love it! It was super easy to set up and start using. My only issue was the plug, I had to upgrade my outlet to a lager size. I spent the extra and got the oil free pump. I have been using it nonstop and I’ve gotten my coworkers all addicted to it too! This is a must have item for families.

Our family purchased a medium Harvest Right freeze dryer in early 2022 and have found it to be a wonderful way to put up shelf-stable produce, eggs, milk, and meat that we produce on the homestead. Nothing goes to waste, and I don’t have to rely as heavily on deep freezes now! I have found the machine to be easy to use, and have not had any issues with it. It has been a great blessing to have powdered goat milk while the goats are in their “dry season.” We especially love doing peppers, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms. Definitely recommend!

Pros: Easily make long term food storage tailored to your diet style (I am low carb), FD vegetables or fruit that is about to be tossed out saving $$$$, and the candy mode is AWESOME and quick. Also, when you call customer service you can usually speak to them within 3 minutes and they are very helpful!!

Cons: Costly up front, need a descent size space to setup, kinda noisy so don't put in a common area.

I wasn't sure I would get enough use out of it to justify the price. I don't have a garden and I'm not a big food storage person. However, I have many food sensitivities and a very strict diet. This thing is amazing! It is far superior to the store-bought versions of food. Everything tastes amazing and it adds a nice variety to my diet. My kids love it too! I did have an issue after a month of usage, but I called the company and they helped me fix it with a software update. No problem!

After a full year of running our Harvest Right freeze-dryer nearly non-stop, the machine had some glitches that a system update solved. Harvest Right and our tech Jonathan helped us get going again.

Last spring and summer we freeze dried most of our surplus eggs, as we have chickens, ducks and quail. It paid off greatly, during the winter months as the birds lay less eggs and a National egg shortage in which eggs have tripled in price we had plenty of eggs. It’s like the story of the grasshopper and the ant in which the ant saved up for winter but the grasshopper was foolish not worrying about tomorrow.

Our Harvest Right freeze dryer has been a real blessing and worth the investment twice over at this point.

We love using or Freeze Dryer and it has definitely paid for itself! We do our best to keep it running at all times. We have had a few issues and have had to contact customer support to get them resolved. One issue took almost 2 months to fix. I think people need to understand this is a semi complicated piece of equipment and there will be issues if you use it enough.

Love this Harvest Right! It's a very intuitive machine and user friendly. I've done a lot of sweets and fruits and some beef. Going to start whole meal preps! Had to call into Customer service once and he was extremely helpful!

After a few initial glitches, it is working beautifully! Customer Service helped us with a software update when we first received it. We have freeze dried a lot of home canned fruit, as well as a lot of frozen berries from our garden, which has freed up an enormous amount of space. So far we've done fruits, vegetables and ground beef. Our next project will be MREs. Of course, we are also looking forward to trying some candy! Customer Service is always helpful and friendly. We love it!

We have had our freeze dryer for almost a year. I pretty much keep it running every day. I have done eggs, refried beans, sour cream, yogurt, veggies, greens for powdering, meats, meals with various ingredients, fruits etc. I all comes out very tasty, better than canning which I also have done.

We had a little trouble around Christmas 2022, but

got immediate great customer service. It took a little while to iron out the problem, but I have to say now it works better than ever. Just needed a software update. And a new (free) oil mister. I am so glad we bought this. I heard a gal on Youtube say she was thinking how great it would be when she was too old to garden anymore to be able to eat all the good food she had grown 20 years earlier and have it still taste great and be good for you. I feel the same way!

The machine itself is great. Worked well for the first year and a half. At that point the vacuum pump started to malfunction and no longer functions properly. It began to produce a black soot and wasn't able to handle the moisture.

I must say that in all my life, I have never received better customer service than I have from Harvest Right! The continuous attention and follow up was second to none!

A great and fun way to preserve food...

I began freeze drying in December of 2022. When I first began to use the machine, the drain hose was stuck up inside the freeze dryer. I called the company to ask how to get it out. It took a half an hour to pull the drain hose out by using an extra long pliers and a heavy wire. That was frustrating.

Once I began actual freeze drying, I began with simple foods like green beans, okra, and lots of rhubarb to make room in my freezer. Today I prepared ten pounds of organic carrots, sliced with my food processor and then blanched. I plan to powder these carrots after they are done F.D.ing. I would definitely recommend a harvest right to my friends for another way to store food for longer periods of time without refrigeration. Freeze drying is challenging and gets me thinking outside of the box.

I purchased an older, used Harvest Right Freeze Drier, contacted the company, and had all the needed parts sent to me. Service was GREAT, so far, they have helped me find the parts and were very instructive and willing to assist. Customer service continues with screen shots and diagnosis, helping me get this machine up and running. Great to find people who stand behind their product.

What an amazing product this is! Harvest Right continues to impress and improve. I had to call on customer service for a vacuum issue and received an answer within minutes. They gave me updated software to fix the issue and it was good to go within seconds. What a great experience! Never lost my batch.

I’ve been freeze drying since the fall of 2022 using Harvest Right’s large freeze dryer. I am on batch #64–this machine is a workhorse!! I am SO pleased with their product! We have freeze dried many different foods: ground beef, chicken, shredded cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese and so much more. One of our favorites is GUACAMOLE! I’m so happy we made this investment. It makes me feel secure in our food preparations.

I've owned my medium freeze dryer for 16 months and love it. I originally purchased to preserve the extra produce from my garden but have used it for much more. Freeze dried veggies and fruits are delicious and healthy snacks for our family. I also enjoy being able to "just add water" to my freeze dried dinners for a quick meal. The company has also provided me with excellent customer service. I'm very happy that I made this purchase, it is definitely worth my investment.

We recently bought a medium size Freeze Dryer. We still have a lot to learn, but I think it is one of the best and easiest ways to store food for long term. It is satisfying to just cook a little extra and freeze dry the rest for later no extra prep time, if you don't want to - meat is probably my favorable to rehydrate as tastes like it just came off the grill, stove, or oven. Amazing! Customer service has been great and very helpful.

Have had my freeze dryer for 3 years. And love it. We have never had any issues with it and it is so easy to use. I put up all my vegetables and fruit we harvested this Las summer plus leftover meals and don’t forget the candy. My grandkids live the apples , peaches and yogurt bites best. The customer service has always been amazing.

I absolutely love my Harvest Right freeze dryers. I could go on for days the benefit of owning one. But for my family it's mainly to be independent from grocery stores. I want to offer my children good quality food year round and know where it's coming from. I can large quantities of food and adding a freeze dryer has given us a huge variation of foods to store.

We have everything you can think of from spices to fruits and vegetables to dairy and poultry. We also started a local freeze dried candy business in our rural area that has more than paid for our machines. I definitely looking forward to our next purchase of the XL freeze dryer.
