I love My Harvest Right ! We have had The regular large machine for the past three years and I have kept it going at least 4 days a week. This week we had our relay board go out. Harvest Right customer service was wonderful and even tried to tell us a trick to get us going faster for no money. even though the advice would not work, they have been helpful to get us a new relay board asap. They are a wonderful group of people.

I have been preserving food from the garden harvest and hunting for many years via canning and freezing. with the harvest right I have been able to put up a long lasting product that taste great easily. I am currently saving for the new Larger model. I can't wait. LOVE my Harvest Right!

We raise a large garden and always have more produce than we can eat, give away or can for our personal and family use. I had also bought some emergency food supplies. Now that I have the Harvest Right Freeze Dryer, we freeze dry all of our excess produce, harvested meats, and left overs that would be wasted into foods that can be stored long term as needed or stored for emergency food supplies. By my calculations on meat we are saving better than 70% processing it our self rather than buying it from emergency food services. I also know how my meat, produce and foods, are raised processed, and stored.

The Harvest Right freeze dryer is very easy to use with plenty of videos, forums and a great customer service if you have any questions or concerns. Side benefits for children, grandchildren and a multitude of friends children is freeze dried candies and ice cream that can cost over $2 an ounce on amazon and at the farmers market for just pennies on the dollars. Highly recommend!

As far as the freeze dryer itself we like it so far. However customer service has been absolutely terrible. We purchased the medium size harvest right from Tractor supply well apparently it didn't have the latest software on it but no where in the Manuel does it say anything about this.

So initially are freeze dryer was stuck in drying mode and would never finish a cycle. We wasted 2 batches before I stumbled upon a forum that said people had similar issues and found out they needed to do a software update. Tried getting a credit for some accessories for the inconvenience and they said no.

Not sure how you sell a $3000 machine that isn't up to date to run and not mention it anywhere in the manual that you need to look into this before using your unit. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with for a company.

The Harvest Right freeze drier sits in our small office humming [very] quietly while it freeze dries our homemade soup. We now own the small size freeze drier. Although we got off to a bit of a rocky start with our new purchase, we cannot say enough about the professional and courteous help and prompt responses we received from Harvest Right Customer Service. Scott Cesen, our Customer Service Representative, never failed to respond to our calls for help or even reassurance.

We are Seniors and, consequently, now live on a fixed income, so we needed the ability to take advantage of our land and the various crops we produce. The Harvest Right freeze drier not only preserves our produce but allows us to eliminate one very large 'electricity-hogging' freezer in the basement.

We had a need to check systems and worked with Techical Support Rep Ben Campbell who was so patient and understanding of Seniors who aren't exactly technically advanced. Ben was able to direct us over the phone to do some troubleshooting to determine the difficulty. When it became obvious we were not able to perform some of the more intricate maneuvers, he promptly connected us with Customer Service Rep Scott Cesen and from there we were treated like very important customers; something that sometimes seems like a lost art nowadays. Scott walked us through a process of exchange and directed us to the shipping department where we viewed amazingly clear videos for packaging, labeling and shipping arrangements. Nathan Cheney provided us with our delivery order and tracking reference number. Jessica Kay provided the transfer order clearly printed so that we would know what to expect. They work as a well-oiled, efficient team.

Scott Cesen is an extraordinary Customer Service Representative who met our needs and answered our questions even before we knew we had questions.

We are in awe of Harvest Right freeze driers , and especially the Company itself that knows how to "do it right". From an exceptional product that is so easy to operate to the extraordinary customer service reps on down to the amazing number of suggestions and information about freeze driers, processing tips, and videos, Harvest Right has it all.

OVERALL USE:

As of this message, We've (My Wife and I) have had our medium freeze dryer for just over a year and it's been great. Saved us money, some food we would have had to throw out, was saved. We've made many batches of candy, now I'm using it for preparing food for an entire hike of the Appalachian Trail which is a massive money saver.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Had small differences with customer service, but otherwise the customer service has been on point and decent.

SMALL ISSUE:

One thing that irritates me is the smell. Deodorizing the Freeze Dryer has proven really difficult. Even the suggestions on the Harvest Right website don't really work that great. The smell comes back after a while. After some research I've finally found a way to semi-deodorize it, which has diminished the smell significantly.

IN CLOSING:

I would, and I already have recommend this company and their products to many people.

I've watched this product for years, and finally got one when it went on sale at my local Bomgaars store. I bought the large model the pans are a little longer than a half sheet pan and maybe half the width. I've been looking for ways to store more food and make meals that I'll enjoy verses the noodle heavy meals that are common on the market. the trick is knowing when the food is really dry. it shouldn't be cold and breaks kind of like foam.

I've enjoyed having fruit in the drawer for smoothies. give it a try if your looking for a great way to have shelf stable food.

I got this freeze dryer a couple weeks ago, and I don’t think I will ever turn it off. I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE and I don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. I have freeze dried Indian chicken curry, Penang curry with pork, a huge batch of bananas, and tonight chicken stew is on the menu. So far everything reconstitutes beautifully. The sealer is easy to use with the bags, and honestly everything is easy to use. I was intimidated in the beginning, but I am already over it. Just do it!!!

I am new to freeze drying but I have been watching videos for years but I am not new to preserving food.

I have the Large freeze dryer with 6 tray, I just finished my first batch of 3 #10 cans of vegetables, without pre-freezing , the whole process took me, 42 hours. The vegetable trays came out perfect, I am very pleased, but to cut down on time, I will be pre-freezing In the future.

Some minor issues with setup was quickly and easily remedied by the quick and professional customer service phone number.

My issue is the instructions weren't very clear to plug the vacuum pump power cord into the back of the unit.

After this, the unit worked as instructed.
