Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Reviews

I waited so long to get a freeze dryer and it is more than worth it. The set up and controls are very easy to use. I also love that you can name your machine so it shows on the display, it's the little things. Since our navhone has the candy mode we started with candy. Quick and easy. Works great. We have ran many things through our machine now. Having extra trays and tray lids is a lifesaver and time saver for me!

We ordered a Medium Harvest Right Freeze Dryer and have been using it for about 6 weeks. It was easy to set up and operate. We selected the Medium Size due to space, and the fact that it does not require installing a dedicated electrical outlet (the large one does).

The machine came with everything we needed to get started. Harvest Right has several resources on their site which are helpful. There are also several Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Groups on FaceBook and MeWe, and many YouTube videos from people using Harvest Right dryers, which are also extremely helpful.

The most important thing to do before using the FD is carefully read the instructions 2 or 3 times before using. My experience with customer service has been great! The 3 times I have called they were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful. We have not had to use Technical Support since we have had no issues with the machine.

We have successfully dried cooked ground meat, cucumbers, bananas, dill pickles, blended lemon and lemon peel, strawberries, peaches, cooked roast beef, carrots, potatoes, onions and okra.

We have made some mistakes with oranges and mandarins, we did not add enough extra dry time to those. But we will dry them again, because straight out of the FD they are so yummy. We have had a lot of fun using our dryer and glad we made the decision to purchase it.

I have had a freeze dryer for about 1.5 years and really love it and use it pretty consistently. I love the ease of using it and just recently had a little problem that I wanted to get some help to resolve with Harvest Right.

From other reviews I had seen around the internet I was worried that I wouldn't get a good response and a result that was positive....but that wasn't my experience at all. The help desk took my issue and then a technician reached out almost immediately to ask further questions to diagnose the problem and then scheduled time to jump on a call and walked us thru what needed to be done. it was actually a quick fix and he gave us some good advice for keeping our machine running well.

I personally love having my Harvest Right and would definitely recommend it to others thinking about getting one

I have been dreaming of getting a freeze dryer for many years. I finally just decided to get one in 7/22. I can’t believe the accessories that came with it! The Mylar bag sealer is awesome and sure beats trying to use my vacuum sealer (didn’t work well).

The pump is ultra quiet and when the whole system is running, it’s no louder than my dishwasher.

What a great way to extend the life on food, especially when you are a prolific canner like myself.

We've had our eyes on a harvest right freeze dryer for years and years and finally got one in June. Since then it's pretty much been running it 24/7! I've tasted almost everything that has come out (except raw meats/eggs) and it has all been fantastic- diced peaches are my favorite, like candy, so good!!! I love that I have another way to preserve my garden fruits and veggies and excess meat from our homestead. It was a huge investment but worth every penny!

We have had a few hiccups along the way but between the harvest right fb group and harvest rights amazing customer service we have solved anything that's come up.

Several of my friends have Harvest Right freeze dryers and love them, so I took the plunge last spring and purchased the medium-sized model. I have much less time now than previously to devote to food preservation. Their advise helped me to see that this would fit my busy busy lifestyle better than the canning and freezing techniques I'd always used in the past.

I was a little apprehensive/nervous about using it at first; you know, the whole learning curve thing. But it couldn't be easier! Turn it on and the simple directions for each step pop up on the screen.

It's been so fun and the results so delicious that I haven't accumulated much for long term storage.

My family loves to snack on all kinds of freeze dried fruit. One of the best discoveries was how wonderful lightly seasoned veggies turn out!

I had an issue with the impulse sealer and it was resolved very quickly. The Customer Service representative was tops!

I love my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer! We purchased a medium in May 2022 and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I’ve done a range of things, berries, vegetables, peaches, tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, chili and even eggs. Most things take between 24-40 hours depending on how full your trays are. (I overfilled my trays with the tomatoes and they took longer, but I’m still learning, haha). Everything so far has had great flavor when dried and rehydrates just as it should. With the chili, you would never know it was freeze dried!

Sealing them up in the Mylar bags is a breeze as well! It only takes a few minutes. And it’s nice to have food on the shelves that lasts much longer than traditional canning (25 years!) and not have to worry about seals coming loose over time or jars getting broken in an earthquake.

The machine itself is so easy to use, just follow the directions on the touch screen. Even changing the oil in the pump is very straight forward.

I had some questions about some settings and contacted Harvest Right by phone and also by email. They were very responsive and helpful and answered all my questions. I absolutely recommend their product if you are interested in preserving food. I am really enjoying my freeze drier!
