USCrimedata.com may be legit but their business model is unscrupulous. Accidentally I logged onto their website thinking it was a legit county records website, provided personal information and a credit card for $1 for a report that was worthless for my purposes. Two days later USCrimedata charged my cr card $28 and that charge nullified my card as the card company recognized it as a fraudulent charge. Several ph calls later and maybe it is straightened out. This practice should be unlawful.

recent property search

One of the most important things I was looking for was the builder of the house that I was researching.

I did not see that anywhere in the report. Other then that important detail, the rest of the report was very comprehensive.

I was also very surprised when the credit card bill for the report showed up for $28.95. I was expecting to see $1.00. Where did $28.95 come from. Did I miss something?? Where was the $28.95 hiding??

I did not realize getting the initial $1 report and having to give out my bank account number for this $1 deduction would result in an automatic monthly (?) $28.95 charge within 6 days. BEWARE!

Misleading Charges/Refund

This site is a SCAM! They say they are going to charge only $1 dollar for a report and then enroll you in a 2 year subscription and charged me $28.95! The charge came from VINSEARCHUSA.COM. The dmvrecords.us.org check out tells you that you can get a refund "ANYTIME" but when I called to cancel they told me you have to cancel with in 3 days to get refunded!! They also told me I would get a letter communicating the subscription was cancelled and I still have not received that cancellation letter! I had to take action directly with my bank to protect myself. I did receive a report which they state they do not stand by the accuracy of it, and that is correct because there was incorrect information, around air bag deployment. I would caution you to find a different source for a VIN report. I am highly disappointed!

Suspect but Verify

I am so sorry that I did not avail myself of this very efficient and user-friendly service years ago. I-and several others- wished our friend a Happy Facebook Birthday each year to no response. Finally, I just had to verify what we all may have suspected-but were in denial. Our friend and colleague was long gone, sadly. But, at least now we know.

The record that was provided was a very generic one and that did not serve the purpose.

However it was more of a frustration.
