I got my clothing In 2 days after I purchased it and it was amazing

This app is by fsr the worst app for sellers and buyers. I appreciated the fact that there were no hidden fees. Sellers get 100% of the money. However, too many issues with selling or buying and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE. One might check the Better Business Bureau as not a single positive review exists. I sold a $300 iPad to someone and once I shipped it, I realized it was a generation 2 instead of a generation 3 as advertised. She wanted to return it which was not a problem because it was my fault. Mercari took over 2 weeks to allow us to return the item. In the meantime her money was held up and I was worried that she would send the incorrect item back. Once we were permitted to return the item the lady provided tracking and I received a box in the mail. As soon as confirmation went to Mercari that my item was delivered they released her funds back to her. Luckily, my iPad was in the box but she could have sent a pair of underwear and Mercari would have released the money back to her. My latest issue with them is that a seller offered to send more pictures of her item to prove authenticity. I asked her if she could post more pictures on Mercari and she told me that she would email me pics. As soon as I entered my email Mercari bans me for one month. That is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. They said they are reviewing the reason I would insert my email. I told them that would take 10 seconds if they read our conversation but I have gotten no response. Why would I do a transaction outside of there business when there's no fees on either end for the seller or the buyer? They are STEEEEWPID not stupid. I keep getting automated responses from Jazzy Jeff, Holly Hobbit, and Little Bill.. All of the automated messages have a ridiculous first and last name. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. This is probably because there is none. I am not sure how this app continues to stay in business when there is about 90% negative reviews compared to the positive. Worst app ever!!!!

DONT SELL OR BUY!!! IT SEEMS THEY HAVE THEIR PICKS ON WHO THEY WILL MESS WITH.. REVOKE YOUR PRIVILEGES FOR SOME BS!! WHEN HALF THE SITE LETS PEOPLE SALE KNOCKOFF HANDBAGS.. ISNT THAT AGAINST THE LAW, PLUS THEY HAVE BEEN STEALING OUT OF PEOPLE BANL ACCOUNTS...THEY SIT BACK AND READ UR PRIVATE CHATS LIKE ITS A DAMN HOBBY... SHAME ON YOU MERCARI!!! SHUT THEM DOWN!!!

Mercari is a terrible app for any buyer. Sellers are able to mail broken unworking items and then Mercari makes you jump through hoops to get a return request approved! This whole app is great for sellers as they can dump any crap the looks remotely to what the seller posted and you as the seller are stuck with it..... its sad since there are so many other great platforms out there. Moreover the SELLER is allowed to rate the transaction making it impossible for the buyer to be honest because the seller will leave negative feedback in response to an obviously negative review, it just how psychology works. My recommendation is to stay away, far far away from this app. (unless your selling of course).

Yes, this app isn't perfect, but I guarantee that almost all buy/sell apps you come across will have their issues. Personally, whenever there has been an issue, I have addressed it by contacting them through the help center and they respond within an hour. I've made a decent amount of money selling stuff I never even use and have bought some pretty unique clothing that I wouldn't find anywhere else. I think this app is pretty fun and exciting! Yes, there are people selling fake items but you can always ask them for more pictures of tags, receipts, etc before buying and they should be happy to provide it for you to prove something is authentic. There should be negative rating option too, one star doesn't cut it. This app is full of con people and customer service does not exist at all. I bought 2 different items and had problem with both. Contacted mercari about the issue and got no reply even after millions of messages. I was going to lose money so I decided to contact paypal for that and what di u know, before 24 hrs. Mercari replied but they were not happy with me contacting paypal. They also deleted my listing and terminated my account forever. Glad I got my money back via paypal. Only good thing on this app was that transaction was via PayPal and that saved me. All the people out there who has dispute go through paypal. Bunch of idiots running this app and probably earning lot of money since this app does have lot of traffic but it's a gambling shopping there. Don't take risk. I am going to stick to ebay and amazon, I know they are reliable. Never ever going on this app again and will try to stop anyone I can from using their app. MORONS

Same problem with me

Where do I start. When you start off, you will love the app. Its seems so easy to use and hey, its free. Well, free is the only thing this app has going for it. I have a feeling this app is not going to last long. Look up their BBB rating, it is an "F"... the lowest score you can get. I can overlook the huge amount of counterfeit items being sold (I will be trying to bring this to court, because Mercari is aware they are allowing this to happen). I can overlook the lack of customer service, having to wait days to get paid, and the overall rudeness of people on there. You won't see these things at first, but after a few sells you will figure it out. But just wait, it gets better. If you ever DARE to contact Mercari and ask about their slow customer service rate, or why they allow other users to post profanity on your page, they will RETALIATE and send all kinds of warnings for things your doing wrong. I thought I was crazy, but it happened more then once. I would ask why they allow users to use profanity on my page, or why it took so long to get rated so I could get paid, and they instantly sent several messages saying I used too many keywords (I used four, other sellers have up to 50), and continued to harass me about every little thing, despite the fact I am honest seller with over 200 positive ratings, and no negative ones. The worst happened when they mistakingly sent a warning about me using a photo that wasn't mine. It was obviously a mistake, and I asked them about it they immediately sent back a reply that I was now banned for using other photos. Uhh, hello, two seconds ago you said it was a warning ... I didn't post anything new... and now a few minutes after I ask why you have now banned me? Someone either has a really big ego, and can't take anyone questioning them. I was very upset. Again, you can follow the rules, but eventually Mercari will do something to piss you off, and if you question them they will ban you. I am not the only one, I know several others who have been banned for no reason. The kids who get on this app are also very petty, and will report you for anything and everything because they honestly have nothing better to do. I will be looking to take my case further, and I will even go so far as to start a petition or page for people to protest this site because it is not right the way they treat people. If they ever start charging, they will have very few people on the app. They are running all the good sellers off. I think they have a shady business plan to go after high volume sellers, and ban them for no reason - because they get to keep your funds... and were the people with the most money at stake. Thats the only reason I can think of that myself, and several other good sellers with all positive feedback would be suspended for no reason. I will be looking to take this to court for discrimination and theft. You will not get away with this. The owner is a overly sensitive egotistical thief.

They suspended my acct as well. I had 529$ on my acct when they suspened it & they threatened to keep my $ if I did not provide them with my SS # & pic of my DL. I did all of this & now they are saying I was selling countetfiet items, I have sales proof of all items & I would never sell counterfiet items, I despise them. This app is a joke. Ive contacted the BBB & filed a complaint but others need to do so to in order to get these scam artists shut down for good!!

Horrible customer service You have to wait forever for their response! But they will delete your item without any reason and they do that very fast . And will block you for 12 hours because of nothing. Also it's almost not possible to return an item or your money back. They worked better when they started. But now it's just horrible.

13 years experience selling on Amazon and eBay and Mercari deletes my account without warning stating I used stock photos - Completely untrue. I took all of the photos on my iPhone and put them on a PowerPoint background to make them look nice. I'll probably never get my money from the 31 items waiting to be reviewed so I can get paid. I read the reviews prior to trying Mercari out but tried it anyway- Big mistake!! I put a ton of work into over 1,000 listings and over 2000 good feedback- what a waste!! Zero customer support and canned robot emails when they do respond after 48+ hours!!! Don't do it! Save yourself!

That happened to me once, but the app reactivate my account. Now they took some of my balance without any reason and no customer service responding to my question.

This app is horrible to honest sellers, while supporting illegal fakes and the sellers that push them. The app went on a spiteful rampage after I posted a photo of a fake product next to my own authentic product placed on sale. They started removing random listing in my account, claiming they are "fake" when I posted sufficient proof that they are authentic. My photos were appreciated by Poshmark, Reddit, and even Allure. But Mercari tried to ban me for posting those photos just because I tried to warn others about the ABUNDANCE OF FAKES ON MERCARI. I demanded my account be restored, and they allowed it only after I stated that I contacted the BBB. However, they deleted ALL of my listings that I worked hard to create, with no explanation aside from spite. This is the most unprofessional marketplace that I've ever experienced. This app is horrible to honest sellers.

People need to stop sharing their invite code just to get themselves free credits... Also stop promoting the site. It's horrible and the more people that know that, the better.

Well I do have issues with some sellers giving fake or wrong tracking numbers when they ship without mercari creating the shipping label.The customer service is fair great at refunding my items and fast set up for a seller its very fast and easy.I enjoy mercari to me is the BEST buy and sell app. I'm Sterling's Deals on mercari and enjoy shipping an item rather than meeting up in person since people can rob or kill for no reason. I had an issue where the seller never shipped an item and we'll....I got my funds back

I have some concerns that they won't answer nor reply to my multiple messages I have sent! I had an account with them and they decided to revoke my pprivileges because they assumed I was someone who had an account before under another name first off this was my first time so why are they assuming. Second I had transactions going thru to my buying customers when all of a sudden one of the transactions were canceled I never got this "return " nor the tracking number so the person got to keep my product as well as the money I should have received I tried to contact them multiple times and still no response it's ridiculous this item I sold for $90 I lost the item as well as the funds? How does this work? I have photos as well with everything going on if I need to send them as well please let me know I will be filing a small claims in my court as well but still need more help on this end ! Thank you and hope to hear from someone soon for some help with this case !
