Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Reviews

This will be the first of many reviews on this machine, I'm that happy with it.

First I would like to say how good customer support is. I called because I was experiencing problems with my sealing unit. Bang, they took care of the problem immediately.

Now to the machine.

In my first 5 days of using it I have processed 8 dz eggs, green beans, apples and grapes. They came out insanely good.

We absolutely love our freeze dryer from Harvest Right. We have the prep work and post processing down to an art so our machine is running most days. After 2.5 years we had a refrigeration leak but Harvest Right stepped up and covered the repair promptly and professionally! Great customer service, great products!

I ordered my Harvest Right freeze dryer on 12-21-2020 and was so excited to being able to preserve our harvests from our garden and not worry about them going bad.

Well I have been having problems from the beginning. The original burn in cycle didn’t work, since then it’s been one thing after another. Had the oil less pump, power switches, cords, door gasket, and even the relay board replaced. The freeze dryer finally started working after we replaced the relay board, that was this year on 1-8-22. In that year of going back and forth I don’t even remember how many times I asked for a replace, with no luck.

Well as of August of this year, I’m getting the same vacuum error. The technicians I spoke with from Harvest Right have helped me work through all the issues, and have been very pleasant to work with. The video links the sent were very helpful in installing the parts, and made the process easy. For the few months that it did work it was great. Of course I did not start using it regularly until September 2022 when my harvest started coming in.

Unfortunately, it still giving me vacuum errors. This is the reason for the 3 stars. If Harvest Right had just sent me a new one, I would have given it 5 stars, because of the few times that it did work it was great.

Our freeze dryer had been running great after

some prior issues I worked out with a

technician. I got an email that I needed to

update the software due to potential failure in

drying correctly. After doing the update, our

FD kept cycling that it needed more freeze

time. I called and spoke with tech Maria, and

she was great. She had me downgrade the

software to a safe version and my mashine

was working great again. Just like any

technology, there are going to be kinks to

work out. But Harvest Right puts in the effort

to make things right.

I have had some issues owning my machine for just over a year. I've had to send it in plus replace 1 part so far. overall it works, and does what I need it too. it's sad when it doesn't. I have had good communication with customer service.

I would recommend getting a freeze dryer for anyone who loves preserving food.

I was told the lead time on my purchase would be something like 8-10 weeks but ended up getting it in about 2, which was nice. Unfortunately, I got a lemon delivered .After talking with the help desk, and showing a few images and short video clips, he agreed that the machine was not functioning properly. Got some return packaging and a shipping label sent over at no cost and the shipping company will be here tomorrow.

Haven't been able to freeze dry anything yet, but we're still ahead of schedule!

I researched the Harvest Right freeze dryers for a few months, reviewed other folks reviews and watched a lot YouTube videos. I spoke on the phone several times with the sales team asking a lot of questions. This being an expensive purchase, I wanted to make sure all my concerns were addressed. I was probably getting a bit annoying with the calls , the emails. The sales team was very cordial and very helpful with making my decision to purchase the freeze dryer.

I appreciated the fact they were always kind and supportive.
