Everybody needs a HRFD!

The HRFD itself has probably already payed for itself by allowing me to buy food at a lower cost in bulk and preserving it for future needs. One of their technical providers, Alex P., provided me with thorough answers to all my questions just today! HR customer service has always been first rate with me. From before I bought it to now more than a year later the professionals have given me all the time I needed to answers my questions. Everybody needs a HRFD!

Ive had my harvest right freezedryer for about a year now, it has been life changing, the savings in food has more than paid for it! Worth every penny. They are a great company.

We do everything we can to be healthy. Wanted to start preserving food and were so disappointed to see that canning eliminates most of the nutrients, thrilled to see freeze drying retains almost all nutrients! Didn't even consider how wonderful it is to have light bags of FD'd food rather than heavy, bulky, mason jars; or the joy of not having a freezer full of food (frozen food also gets freezer burn at some point, FD'd food can last a couple of decades).

So nice to also be able to grab a bag of FD'd chicken tika masala, chili (too many options to name, whatever we are in the mood for) if we don't feel like cooking or the electricity goes out.

Also, happy to have the benefit of buying food on sale and freeze drying it for the future with inflation!

We have had our amazing Harvest Right FDer for almost two years now and love it! Harvest Right is wonderful to work with and we haven't had any trouble. We would buy one again in a heartbeat!

I love my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. It saves me a bundle in my backcountry meals - keeps my pack light without the cost. I love the heathy snacks and the uniques texture and taste makes them more like a treat then a “health snack”. Freeze dried goodies are always a hot and it has become my Christmas tradition to give freeze dried skittles for gifts and stocking stuffers - such a hit! Super easy to use and clean. Highly recommend this company for all your freeze dry needs.

The customer service is outstanding. I have had my freeze dryer for a few months and have been using it nonstop since then. I had several questions and HR was very helpful each time I contacted them.

The good:

Quick response time from the tech from every email we did back and forth, like within minutes usually!

Thorough checking of possibilities for the error.

Detailed and easy to follow instructions.

Quick delivery of replacement parts

Friendly and helpful.

New software 5x23 is running shorter cycle times now!

We got it fixed without too much frustration.

The not so good:

Tech wanted to try testing all the parts when I was pretty confident that it was just a software issue.

That’s my only complaint. I felt like we jumped into step 2 or 3 rather than starting with the easiest and most likely fix for my situation.

But all in all, it was a good experience.

Great way to store food

I have had a medium Harvest Right Freeze Drier for 5 months and have run over 100 loads. Easy to operate, the touch screen gives you each step to take. It even picked up where it left off when we had a power outage and finished the cycle to successfully complete the drying process.The trays fit in my side by side refrigerator so I can pre freeze my trays of food, cutting down on how much power it takes to freeze dry. Customer Service is great. Wish it had an audible alert so I would know right away when the process was complete.

Our Freeze Dryer works great. We have mostly done fruit and have loved everything. Easy to use and maintain. Customer service has been good to work with for any questions.

We contacted Harvest Right due to a vacuum seal problem, set up an appointment and we ended up talking to them twice, followed all of their recommendations which including viewing the easy to follow videos emailed to us and we've been happily freeze drying since. Dave and Naomi

I purchased my Medium Harvest Right Freeze Dryer in June. I was very happy with how easy it was to set up and how the whole process works. I have a log book and write down every batch I do. It's so fun to try different foods.

I just want to give a shout out to Harvest Right and our super-hero tech, Heather. She really went over and above to ensure our machine got fixed. She followed up each tech session with a phone call to ensure we were all on track, and to ask if we needed anything else.

She really is what we want and expect customer service to be. I'm glad she's on my side to keep our machines working!

Ive been using these freeze dryers for a little over a year now.

Their costumer service is really top notch. I always get a happy friendly rep.

I use these in a professional canna environment daily and love using them.

If I could make 1 change it would be to make the USB board more universal,

I have so many USB drives for updating (make sure its 2.0 and under 16 gig)

Love having a Harvest Right freeze dryer! I've had a great experience with their customer service. My issues were promptly solved and my questions were answered quickly. I love being able to put away food for long term use.

Love our Freeze Dryer from Harvest Right. Run about 22 batches and they came out perfect. We then got a “Mid Batch Heat Error” so I sent in to customer service explaining what I thought was going on. Received a call the next day from Harvest Right service representative who explained what I would need to do so that they could analyze log files to determine what was causing freeze dryer issues, and sent a new software update.

They also explained that their technician would analyze the log data and get back in touch to help me resolve the issues. The technician was very responsive and explained what I would need to do to solve the problem which included sending the correct parts that enabled me to resolve freeze dryer issues.

As a result I am very pleased with freeze dryer and what it does for us. Also pleased and thankful for the service provided by Harvest Right customer service technician’s.

Problems from the start were corrected

My unit did not work properly when it first arrived, but Harvest Right made it right, but it took a long time. I had to return it, which is not easy to do. I was not able to preserve any of my garden harvest by the time I got it back. I am running my first batch of scrambled eggs as we speak and it still is not complete after 24 hrs of run time.

My Harvest Right Medium Freeze dryer did not turn off when I clicked the button one day after I completed a batch and was ready for the machine to defrost. I tried multiple times and finally just unplugged it from the wall.

I put in a ticket with customer service and received an email back with a scheduled time to have a 15-minute conversation with a technician. David the technician called right on time and already knew from the description of my issue on the ticket what the issue was. He told me I needed a new power switch, and he would get it out to me. Since I was about 20 minutes from the store I asked if I could just swing by and pick it up and not have to wait for shipping. He said that would be fine. He sent me an email with a video of how to change out the part on my machine.

I came home and followed the instructions on the video and within 30 minutes I was back up and running again. I have completed 2 loads since then and am working on the third with no issues.

David was wonderful to work with, knowledgeable and friendly. He even called a couple of days later to make sure that I had been able to change the part out and my machine was working again.

This was the second time that I have had to call for tech support and the first time was no different. Excellent customer service both times. I do suggest that you view the website to learn how to make a copy of the log files they need to diagnosis your issue and include that in the original ticket. It makes the process much faster and saves time.

I was able to use a relative's freeze dryer for over a month. I loved it

so I decided to buy my own. However my experience has been anything but good.

I was told the dint and dings class A had barely perceptible scratches. The unit I received definitely has damage beyond scratches.

When my unit arrived 3 items were missing and one was broken.. I had to call 3 times to get the items replaced. When they finally arrived it was the wrong item again, I had to call again and I'm still waiting for the missing piece.

Meanwhile I decided to run a test just to make sure that unit works. Turns out it doesn't. The heating element will not work. After yet another call, I am told a Tech can call me in a week to try and diagnose the problem. It is ridiculous to have to wait that long just for a phone call to see what's wrong, not even to get the part sent out.

It seems like they are just trying to push getting back to me out past my return window so that is no longer an option. And even if I do return it I will lose about $800 between shipping it back and the 15% restocking fee.

The product is working as intended and the customer service is quite good.

The sealer was missing in the original shipment, but it was promptly sent after pointing it out to the company.
