Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Reviews

After 78 loads in less than 9 months, we ran into a technical issue with our larger freeze dryer. After contacting Harvest Right customer support, we ran diagnostic testing over several weeks with different parts being sent (under warranty). Unfortunately we couldn’t resolve the issue “remotely” however, Harvest Right arranged for our freeze dryer to be picked up from a rural location and shipped back to their service department for repair. After just a couple short weeks we received the freeze dryer back. To our dismay, the freeze dryer had been damaged in shipping and we had to refuse delivery. I contacted Harvest Right and within two days they decided to send us a BRAND NEW freeze dryer. I cannot express my appreciation to Harvest Right and the awesome support staff enough.

We are back up and running preserving home-grown meat, fruit and vegetables. A significant investment however, we are on track to have the freeze dryer pay for itself in less than two years vs the high cost of grocery store purchases. Preserving our own food without being reliant on freezers is so comforting and knowing what is in (or not in) our food is extremely important to us.

I love how the machine just works. I don't have to think about it too much, didn't really have ot learn how to use it. You just follow the simple instructions and boom, you're in business.

We completely love the freeze dried fruit and veggies, and are trying different things.

The machine uses the temperature and the degree of vacuum to time the cycles live, so you don't have to spend all day babysitting it. Great experience, would purchase again

I bought a medium 5 tray freeze dryer recently. Unfortunately, my machine immediately needed a software update. Upon using my machine for the first few times, it had a longer than normal dry time & quit heating after the first batch. I was highly disappointed that when I’d try to update my machine, it wouldn’t successfully update. I had to wait a week for a tech support appointment.

However, the technician was wonderful, patient, & knowledgeable! She helped me get the software on my machine updated successfully & even followed up with me the next day to make sure it was working correctly! What started off as me be highly disappointed turned into me being pleasantly satisfied! Great customer service!

Love this Harvest Right!

First time I used it I was intimidated by it, but I caught on pretty quick. The screen guides you through the process. Very explanatory. I had a few questions and called Harvest Right and they were quick to answer. Great customer service. I freeze dry our chick eggs, herbs from our garden and lots of fruit. My grandkids love the freeze dried skittles. Great investment!

Overall a decent product, however Not much competition to compare to.

It has worked fairly well definitely of had hiccups and issues. Customer service has helped in all situation’s and resolved all problems.

I purchased the medium size freeze dryer in 2021 after comparing cost of buying a one year supply of survival food from a commercial supplier to the cost of the dryer that would supply many years of long term food.

The freeze dryer is compact and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I used 2 different watt usage meters to measure electricity usage. I can not remember exact amount but I was surprised how little it used. I did not see a significant raise in my power bill although the freeze dryer was being used 3 to 4 days per week.

Freeze dried berries taste awesome. The flavor is so much more intense.

My favorite freeze dried foods include eggs, candy, ice cream sandwiches, pasta sauce, buttermilk, cheese, cooked chicken, and soup mixes.

My family loved the assorted freeze dried items I gave them for Christmas.

And I save a great deal of money by making freeze dried dog food in bulk instead of buying the expensive prescription food from the vet.
