Love my freeze dryer when it works

Love my freeze dryer when it works , in the middle of harvest season it went down for almost 2 months , tec support was good but took too long to fix the problem, not impressed.

My freeze dryer had an error message and I broke down cause I was trying to get my tomatoes dried before I left Town. I called Harvest Right and they always answer my call and stop at nothing to get the problem solved. Well y'all my harvest right freeze dryer is back in action now. They stay in touch like family. Your all are awesome. Thank you, I recommend all Harvest Right products.

It Works Well Unless it Breaks Down

We have had the medium freeze dryer for 3 years. We try to keep it running all the time, and it does freeze dry many different kinds of foods very well. We love it when it is working right because it has helped us to store food long term. It is easy to use, when it is not breaking down. It has an "Inadequate Vacuum" alarm quite often, and we have had to contact Harvest Right's support line many times.

We bought it with the oil-free pump and it cratered, so we got the premium pump as a free replacement, which was much better and quieter. We have needed to replace the relay board twice, the USB controller board twice, the drain valve, the door seal, the condenser fan, and the parts are covered for a year, but I needed to install them myself. So, you need to be handy to own one of these.

Harvest Right's support people have been helpful and nice to work with, but it sometimes has taken a month or two to get things fixed and working properly again because certain solutions sometimes don't solve the problem of "Inadequate Vacuum" and other things have then been tried. It hasn't met our expectation of reliability; but when it is working properly, it does do a good job.

I have an original vacuum pump and have had it rebuilt once shortly after getting my HR. Over the last couple years no problems but the other night my pump blew oil all over, but customer service reached out right away. Tonight I spoke with a representative again and will be upgrading to the

premier pump as soon as our budget allows. The gentleman was GREAT!

I recently purchased a Medium Pro Harvest Right Freeze Dryer and am absolutely loving it.

I can’t get to all the things I want to freeze dry fast enough. The options are endless.

In researching And deciding what machine to buy, I had awesome customer service. I called the store and asked questions, receiving very knowledgeable answers or direction to helpful website information.

I also stopped in to the harvest right store located here in Utah and experienced great customer service from a relaxed and not pushy salesman.

After choosing my product and waiting for shipping I decided to upgrade to a Pro And had great help adjusting my order.

I love my machine and have had great customer service.

My customer experience with Harvest Right was excellent. I gave the experience 4 out of 5 stars, but I'm in no way unhappy with the experience.

My freeze dryer was running into the "inadequate vacuum" error. As my equipment is only a few months old, it is still under warranty. I chatted with the first level troubleshooter, and the guy I talked to was very helpful. He gave me a few steps to try, which, in his opinion, would fix the issue.

The first step was to update the software. Following his instructions exactly, the freeze dryer software crashed, and I was unable to use it. So I had to call back and talk to the next tier troubleshooter.

This interaction was equally helpful. I talked with someone who helped me to fix the software issue, and get the software up to date. Unfortunately, the technician cut the call short of being able to help me with the vacuum fix. I was called two days later by a third technician, who followed up with me. By that point, I had gone through the fix, as the first tech instructed, and it seemed to fix the issue. I spoke with the third tech twice after running a couple more batches, and everything seemed to be working well.

The fix itself that I was sent was very helpful. However, there were links to videos on Google drive to help with the fix, and all of the links were broken. When I mentioned this to the technicians, they acknowledged that the links were broken, but did not send new links or send the videos. I was left to search the web for help.

Long story short, my interaction with the technical support at Harvest Right was effective, though a little inefficient. I could tell they cared about me and my experience, and wanted to help. They were patient and took time to work through various issues, and followed up multiple times. I'm very happy with the help I received, though I think their internal communication and documentation could be better, i.e. speaking with multiple techs and broken links to video instructions.

It’s the easiest way of preserving veggies at peak freshness for use in preparing meals later, and fruits for when they're not in season. It’s easier, safer and more convenient than canning, and frees up my freezer space for meats. I've freeze dried my own nut milk, smoothie mixes and brewed coffee and crushed them into "instant" powders that I know don't contain any additives for fillers. And for eating healthy meals (without additives, preservatives and questionable sources) while traveling, I can prepare each individual meal to take on the road. Customer service is quick and exceptionally helpful: the representative called me back within a few hours and answered all my questions and more. I only wish I'd purchased a larger size because I'm freeze drying EVERYTHING!

I love freeze drying anything and everything! When the machine works, it’s great! When is does not, it is so frustrating! I have had 4 freeze dryers, 2 currently in use.. The other 2 died- one by house fire, other sent back to HR. The machines are expensive and still fairly new.. One would expect better performance for the cost of the machine. There are a lot of components that go into making the machine which in turn can be very difficult to determine the issue when one occurs.. I love the freeze dryer, just not the problems, and of course they occur at the most inconvenient time. Customer service has always been kind and cooperative and have done everything necessary to get me up and running when an issue arises, it just may take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months.

We bought the HR Freeze Dryer during summer sale, the rep was amazing to deal with, quick to answer questions. We setup the FD in our basement on the cart suggested. We had some struggle to follow the manual and we finally call the technical support. It didn't take long waiting on the line. They knew which machine we have and provided us with the updated instruction which worked. My wife started working on batches right after the "bread test" was successful (after the first attempt as per their instructions). We are so happy to have it, worth the purchase. We are looking forward try all the different food options.

The freeze dryer works and the food is tasty. It is not particularly quiet and the cycles are long (typically 18-30 hrs). We've had ours for 4 yrs. The first 3.5 yrs of that have been without issue. We are now replacing a part. Customer service responded within a week. I am not sure what I think of the requirement to pay for tech support after the machine is out of warranty. However tech support was helpful and the initial cost was applied to the replacement part.

I've had my freeze dryer for a little over a year and can't count the number of loads I have done.   I recently had an issue with drying and called tech support and was assigned a gentleman named Brandon. After some trouble shooting, it turned out that I needed to replace the epoxy harness.  Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and patient and stepped me through the repair.  Now, my Harvest Right freezer is as good as new!  I am happy to say that I am Very pleased with my freeze dryer as well as the support that I received!

I have had my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer for over 2 years now and just bought my 2nd one. Here is what I like about the freeze dryer:

-It's more convenient for me to freeze dry our garden produce than it is for me to can it, plus the food keeps almost all of its nutritional value.

-My son and daughter-in-law really like the freeze dry food I give them so they can take it camping.

-The technicians work with you when there is a problem with freeze dryer issues.

I knew that when I bought my 1st freeze dryer that this product was fairly new to consumers, so I expected some bumps in the road ahead, and there were, but the technicians at HR worked with me to resolve issues. Now that freeze dryer works excellently:)

If you are thinking about buying a Harvest Right Freeze Dryer, I would go for it!

My medium freeze dryer's computer stopped working and I couldn't even download a potential fix due to the model number not showing up on the screen. I contacted Harvest Right and had to put in a ticket to have it fixed, with a bit of a long wait, especially during harvest season. Chet from Harvest Right, emailed with a possible solution. He sent me the potential fix and very clear instructions on what to do. It worked, and he was quick to communicate through email back and forth. I was so happy to be up and running again; and I also took a photo of those numbers up in the top right-hand corner of the computer screen, just in case it happens in the future. I'm so happy with the service I received; and even happier I didn't have to send it in to repair, seeing as I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario; and no Canadian Harvest Right dealer within 8 hours from home. Thanks again for responding faster than expected!

Hey, this machines are great when they want to work right. But these machines need to work right when they leave the warehouse overhead my machine says 2020 and have ran maybe 75 loads in it I am now waiting for a part from harvest right to see if I can fix my machine because I didn’t have the money to have harvest right fix my machine for me because they should’ve fixed it from the get-go.

I have been thinking about a Harvest Right for a while and I finally purchased a Medium Pro with Premium Oil Pump. First off sales was super easy and did not pressure me at all. Shipping was as expected (2 weeks). I have done a dozen or so loads and I have loved this machine. I have had quick customer service and technical service (user error) but very quick help.

Not happy! Wish I never purchased from HR!

Very frustrated with Harvest Right, their tech dept and customer service ppl. 2 weeks in use & machine breaks. 1st tech failed to help. Next tech not for 1 week. 2 weeks later (we was on vaca) & that tech was no help either. Was told they’d send label & box to send module back for repair. 10 days later nothing! Now my wife gets involved & is highly upset demanding a brand new module for our brand new unit. They refuse! Then promised over night label & we’d have it back the same week. Let me go back to the numerous phone calls that were promised & we never got, neither did we get the module back the ‘same week’. Harvest Right has a lot of issues. Module is back in & so far running correctly even tho most our produce is already spoiled & garden season over.

Had an issue with my freeze dryer so I put in a ticket and waited for response. Next day for a response with the fix and followed instructions, it worked and I was off and running again. Later I got a call from Harvest Right to make sure it worked and things were running smoothly. Was a great experience.

I absolutely love our freeze dryer. It is amazing what I can do. But not very far into ownership and it is not working. It has already been down for a couple weeks and I now have to send it back to harvest right. I have to pay for the shipping and then they will fix it since the condenser is still under warranty. Everyone I have talked to at harvest Right is amazing. But still pretty bummed that it is relatively new and already broken.
