Handy.com is a website and company that promises they can help their customers book both expert home cleaners and handymen at just a moment's notice, with their convenient and secure booking and payment system.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, all Handy professionals are experienced, friendly, background checked, and insured, so their clients can feel confident that they will be receiving the assistance of a well vetted professional when they book through their website.
All customers need to do is choose the type of service they are hoping to book, then select the date and time they would like their professional to come, including dates as soon as tomorrow.
All payments will be handled through their website, so if a customer has any issue or complaint with the service they have received or the service provider, they can address their concerns with Handy.com.
At this time, Handy.com does have a free downloadable app available for iPhones, and may be expanding their availability to other platforms in the future.
Customers who use this website to book their services will encounter no fees beyond what they are expected to pay for the services they request.
Handy.com does say that they offer a Refund Policy, stating that customers who are not 100% happy with the service they have received can speak to one of their representatives and always have the option to receive a full refund of what they paid for their services.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact their Customer Service team with questions, concerns, or complaints is to do so by phone at 866-849-7492 or by submitting them directly to their website.
This website is the new incarnation and version of the previous website Handybook.com, which provided essentially the same services and had some issues, which the owners claim have been improved with their new updated service.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many other companies that offer people the ability to book professional cleaners or professional handymen, though often these services are separated into different websites.

Handy is cheating on you, you have to share work with somebody you never met before, cancellation fee was in this case higher than the pay. the HANDY Pro App is fake only they charge you $8 extra fee but you do not get more jobs. First three jobs were good after that it slows down and you have to take care that you get your money. I have more than ones to mount a TV over 60 in and in my work order it says under 45 in if you try to communicate with Handy you will be happy you get a answer after 3 days. I did a job and costumer proofed it that I did the job Handy said somebody else did the job I had to fight 3 week before I get my money....very poor company.
Do not waste you time HANDY makes no sense, the idea is very good but the people behind HANDY very bad. If I can I would rate them -5 Stars
I usually don't write reviews, good or bad, but I did not have a good experience when I tried Handy for the first time and I would not recommend them to anyone else. I booked a first cleaning about 5 days out on their website in anticipation of company coming to town. The morning of the scheduled cleaning I got a text saying that there had been an unexpected call out and they did not have anyone available until the next morning. I was ok with that as things happen to all of us, but I got the same text the next morning and was not offered a reschedule until 4 days later (which included a weekend). As this was after my company was to visit I was upset about the cancellation. I tried to contact Handy for an acceptable resolution only to find out that they could only be contacted via email or mail (no customer service phone number is offered or available). Normally, I prefer to communicate via text and emails as well, but when I am upset and want something to be taken care I would like to be able to speak to a live person in customer service. I sent an email detailing my concerns as requested that included my contact information. I was not contacted by phone as requested, but got home later from a 12-hour shift at work to find an email waiting for me. Handy did apologize and offer a $20 credit to my account, but at this point I had no plans to use their service and I canceled my account with them. I am very disappointed by the experience as I liked their setup and pricing, but none of that is of any value if they cannot complete the actual work.
Well these clowns certainly make a case for government regulation. Do you not think this was not all mapped out in a they cant loose strategy? Dangle work to honest people who can and actually need to work, then invent many elaborate ways to "fee "it back to themselves. Put it this way you are not told you have to provide YOUR credit card to work for them - a bit of a red flag - ya think ?
Until you give them all your personal information. So...to even access available work you will give them your name, physical address, social security number and email. mmmm... almost seems like what hackers, and identity thief's do all day just dressed up to look legit. You've been warned !
DONT WORK FOR HANDY.COM APP, THE WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET. If you have a problem you might as well forget about getting in contact with handy pro help... they have no phone what so ever . you will not find a phone number for them. it takes hours for them to respond to the simplest of problems through email only and the customer service are complete morons. they will hit you with fee, after fee, for no reason at all most the time, and don't think your going to argue for it even if your in the right, they don't care. they will claim its automated and they have no control. but i have argued a few time and got it changed after 4000 emails literally. you wont work but twice a week and will probably lose half your money in ridiculous fees if you work for handy, these people dont realize that they only make money if the providers are working. and dont care if they lose they whole company. they are the stupidest people alive. app doesnt even work half the time. there are features on the app that has never worked in 6 months even after being informed over and over. they couldnt care less. it like they are just a front company cause they dont run like they want to stick around.
