Poor quality and Customer Service
June 6, 2017

I liked the sheets but they did not hold up. After 12 washes they started to fray and now I have a large hole.

For $250 the sheets should last for a really long time. The company did not stand behind them and would not replace a bottom sheet. Poor customer service. There are better options at a much lower cost.

Lured In
May 23, 2017

I've been a user of Kohls Sonoma brand 600 thread count sheets for years. IMO....the best sheets I've ever slept on. Unfortunately they discontinued them. When I came across Boll and Branch I was excited that I found their replacements and could search no more.

Pros: Order process

Website

Positive Reviews

Delivery

Packaging second to none

Cons: Yes I was conned. Worst sheet I ever felt.

My search continues for a great sheet.

Thread Count
May 17, 2017
I keep hearing their commercials on a radio channel I want to support so I thought I'd check it out. After all, they said they eliminate the "middle man" and pass on the savings so I expected some reasonable prices. Please. First of all their website skips the whole thread count thing - I had to look elsewhere (here) to find out what's in their sheets. 300 TC is not luxury - I'd say that's the low-end starting point for decent sheets. Makes me believe they know there's a problem and they hide it. Bottom line: high prices and low threat count. No reason to leave the local brick and mortar store where I can shop those two factors and even feel the product. Yawn.

Well... They admit to only spending 2 weeks researching sheets. Did you really expect them to rest understand how to create the best of anything with the least amount of experience.

Terrible Sheets, Stupid Response from the Company
May 4, 2017
So, like many others here, I feel scammed by the Boll & Branch sheets. They are scratchy and loose. When I contacted the company I got the strangest response: "In an effort to save the planet we don't pre-wash the sheets. We know that you will HAVE to wash them, so this saves on water use." Okay, so that sounds nice and politically correct for them, but so be it. But here comes the stupid part: "If we washed them with our industrial machine (what? I thought you said you DIDN'T wash them), we would waste a lot of water. Our machines are about 10 times stronger than a domestic machine. So you will have to wash them 10-20 times before they feel soft." ???? This makes NO sense. So, this company that doesn't pre-wash their sheets has industrial machines that they don't use because they waste water, tells the customer that they will have to waste water until the sheets feel good? Talk about circular illogic! Also, it sounds that the sheets won't hold up after 20 washings. One night I put on some old crappy sheets I got from Costco one day when I couldn't find any sheets for my new split-King. They felt GREAT. Do the math. This company is ripping people off.

Not Worth The Money
April 27, 2017

Like others experience with reviewing boll and branc, my review of 4 stars was not put on the site. So here I will give two stars because of their arrongance and fakness. No company only uses 5 star reviewers, a legitimate company will respond below their customers review when appropiate.

The fitted sheet is just WAY over sized-so we are sleeping on a wrinkly mess of a bed. The sheets are soft and so far are holding up to washings.

Our duvet cover was worn out, I got an email for a discount and fell for it and thought to try boll and branches-it too is just SO over sized to the point of annoyance!!

I also have purchased their towels--while they are nice and thick, I have noticed after a couple days of showering they really don't dry up fully. For some reason, and I do not use bleach, there are spots where the color has faded. Never happened with our other towels.

So while this company says a nice story, I question the owners integrity.

Nice packaging and brand story, prickly sheets you won't want to sleep in
April 20, 2017
I'm returning these sheets promptly! Excellent marketers who additionally pull at your conscious with fair trade story, but their product (sheets) are lousy at best. Do not waste your time and money. Maybe these folks need to understand the feeling of luxury sheets and not what I can likely purchase at WalMart for $16.99.

I've Been Duped!
April 15, 2017
I got sucked into the hype like lots of others and paid at least three times as much for these sheets as I've ever paid before. They are about a third as good as any I've had. The package is presented well and you feel like you're treating yourself to something special, but when you wash them and put them on your bed you realize they are a wrinkled mess. The bottom sheet is generously sized, which is great if your mattress is HUGE, but otherwise it doesn't fit and is just loose and messy. The feel of the sheets is more like muslin, which I haven't slept on since I was a child. I've had much softer sheets from Tuesday Morning for less than half the price. I feel like a sucker but I guess three presidents got scammed also!

I feel like a complete fool!

Excellent marketing, really bad over priced sheets! After spending over 100K on a complete Master Suite makeover I wanted the finest bed linens available. I'd heard the advertising for years and thought this would be the finishing touch for my gourgeous makeover. What a disappointment and total waste of money. They felt lovely out of the package (though a bit thin). My housekeeper washed them and put them on the bed! What a nasty wrinkled mess! I removed them, took them to the cleaners to be cleaned, pressed and light starch. $60 later I had the crisp sheets is was expecting. That delightful experience lasted exactly 1 night. Once slept on, they turn into the limp, thin, wrinkled mess I started with! Yes I should have returned them but simply didn't take the time to go through the ordeal of the return process. Just chalked it up as a good lesson learned. Never again will I buy sheets that I can't see, touch, know the thread count and the source of the cotton from the get go! The packaging was beautifully done. That is the only positive thing I can say for these "destined to be goodwill cast off" sheets. Save your money. Stick with Egyptian cotton and thread counts of 750 or more from a reputable retailer. You can't leave an honest review on their website. Hope others will see this and learn from my stupid mistake! Still want to know which White House administrations ordered these "Boil and Sheit" sheets!

YEP, Not Worth it.
February 27, 2017

Here is the review I tried to submit, but don't think it made it onto the site. I gave them 2 stars...

We slept and washed the sheets for 30 days and here is what we found.

Comfort - yes they are soft, they fit nicely on the bed. We have a pillow top King.

Care - We have washed them twice. Not my favorite result. I like crisp sheets and always iron pillowcases but don't need to that much on the top sheet. This is not the case with these. They need a hot iron and I have to iron the top sheet especially by the opening/pleats. In two washings a bothersome crease has formed at the top edge. I grab them from the dryer before it stops and still I iron the heck out of them. Even with an ironing they do not hold. If you have a shabby chic look these will be great. But honesty they look like I have had them for a year at this point and my ironing only lasts a couple of days until it's wrinkle city again.

Value - I put them side by side with my Costco sheets (I saw someone else had mentioned them in a post as well) and had my husband feel them. He could not tell the difference. If you put your hand under the sheet on both you can see through to the flesh color of your hand. I had expected more of a hotel thickness quality to the sheets but no these are not. Our Costco sheets last 7 years (we rotated 2 sets) and finally they were thread worn and ripped. But not bad for $40 sheets. I don't see how these are going to even last half as long.

That said, yes we kept them but here is why. My husband bought the sheets for me as a gift and really felt he was doing a wonderful thing. I am never going to discourage that behavior, the money doesn't matter.... I am on the other hand looking for our second set of sheets.

I took the advertising bait!!!
January 27, 2017
My wife and I enjoy nice sheets, I resisted for quite some time but celebrity reviews made us take the plunge. BAD MISTAKE, the bedding was thin and felt loose. Absolutely no crispness to sheets or pillow cases. They are way overpriced for the product you receive. I am going through the return process now, I received an email that our return was accepted and we will be credited back our complete purchase price. 48 hours later and still waiting for the credit to surface on my credit card.

Major dissappointment!
December 30, 2016
I do not usually fall for excessive hype. These sheets are the most over-hyped product I've ever experienced, I think. Have pre-washed them as recommended and used them on our king-size bed a few nights. They really are VERY poor quality. No crispness whatsoever, just wimpy, wrinkled and thin. I am planning to send them back per "guarantee". We'll see how that goes on these over-priced and over-hyped sheets.

Disappointed in Quality
November 17, 2016
I fell for the radio ads and bought the Hemmed sheets. The sheets didn't feel any different than any moderate quality sheets. The top sheet arrived with a small hole. I boxed them back up and returned them without ever sleeping on them. I've purchased better quality sheets at Bed, Bath and Beyond for half the price.

Pameladragon

This company brags about using Fair Trade cotton. Anyone who has investigated the practices of Fair Trade knows that is very unFair to the farmers trapped into joining the organization. They are forced to follow the strict rules of Fair Trade, must keep their farms small, and are not allowed to price their products fairly. I would never purchase and Fair Trade coffee, cotton, hemp, or fruit. These people need to break free of Fair Trade and do what they have always done, grow the best possible and form their own cooperatives where the farmers get to keep all the money instead of seeing it used to advertise Fair Trade and line the pockets of the organizers. Just another way to cash in on the Green movement....

Didn't fall for their bait...$250 or more is not 1/2 of Department Store Pricing
October 9, 2016
I came here because I was curious about Boll and Branch...not because I had considered buying them but because I wanted to find out what their supposed HALF of department store pricing truly was. LOL! I just bought wondrous cotton percale sheets at Tuesday Mornings for $49.99. They are the kind of sheets this old lady grew up with...QUALITY!! I want them crisp and thick...I've never paid more than $50 for sheets and to pay $250-$500 or $1000 for sheets just sounds stupid to this frugal girly who adores quality on the cheap!

Scratchy rough sheets
August 8, 2016
My husband heard about Boll and Branch sheets on a podcast....stellar reviews. We thought we would splurge and give these sheets a try. I was also fooled by all the 5 star reviews on the website. These are the most scratchy sheets I have ever owned. The packaging was beautiful, the sheets fit well and the color is lovely. But I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND these sheets. They are not smooth and luxurious as the reviews have said...definitely wish we had saved our money.

Awful Customer Service
June 5, 2016
After reading the above reviews, I am fortunate that my order never arrived. I too fell for the radio hype & ordered a set, for which they immediately charged my credit card upon ordering, unlike most online retailers who charge upon shipping. After a month I had to follow-up with them only to be told that it was on back order. No after-sale notifications or follow-up whatsoever. But they blew up my email box pushing more of their stuff on me. I had to mark them as SPAM. The others here are correct, my bad review never made it thru & NO COMPANY has all 5 star reviews. These silly millennial owners have a lot to learn about customer service.

Boll & Branch Does Not Accept Bad Reviews From Purchasers
May 23, 2016
I have been wanting to write an honest review on this company for several months; there was no way to do it. Finally about 6 months after my purchase (yes, I fell for the hype) I received an email telling me Boll & Branch loves to hear from their customers! There is not a separate link for the review, just the email itself. Anytime the star level was under 4 (I attempted to drop a truth bomb) the email disappears into the trash bin. They obviously encode this email so that certain key strokes result in the review hitting the trash. I forwarded it to myself several times from the trash only to have the same experience. B&B must have it's own department writing their reviews. These sheets are a total waste of money. After a few washes they are your basic flimsy 200 TC sheets received in $150 worth of packaging. The flat sheet is over-sized which is a nice feature, but not worth $200 with the discount. Don't waste your money. You won't be able to write a review on the website and I highly doubt that you'll be able to return them if you try, after finding out you've been scammed.

Scam
March 22, 2016
Notice that of all the reviews posted only the 5 stars are listed. These are cheap sheets hyped with good news organic and no child labor which is good, but bottom line they are cheap 300 count sheets. Remember the story of the Emperor's new clothes. If you censor the reviews you can fool fools.

SCAM
January 28, 2016
I took the bait !! I will say that up front. All of the commercials over and over and over. "Boll and Branch sheets are the best thing since sliced bread" blah blah blah. But yes , Like soooo many other I too took the bait and spent $400.00 for a set of their lux sheets. And I must say the first couple of times on these sheets was like sleeping on a cloud. However, 3 or 4 months in (YES ~~ 12 weeks) after purchase these lux sheets went BAD !! And I mean Wal Mart quality bad. They are NOW so thin you can see through them and are now pilling (you know when you pay $10 at Wal Mart for a sheet then it pills after a few weeks) ALL this comes from cheap cheap CHEAP quality cotton. The type of cotton that is SO thin and short that it breaks whenever it's washed and all you have are pills all over the sheet. And let me tell you ---- THERE ARE ABSOLUTLY NO BAD REVIEWS ON THE BOLL AND BRANCH WED SITE ---- Not a single bad review. I reviewed our sheet weeks ago (WEEKS AGO) even sent in a follow up 'WHERE IS MY REVIEW" ....review. NOTHING !! There have been many "GOOD" reviews that have showed up on their site over the past few weeks / days , well after mine was sent in. STAY CLEAR PEOPLE ---- BOLL AND BRANCH is nothing but a COMPLETE RIPOFF -- You will receive a set of sheets in s very nice "sheet" cover and all looks very.......but it isn't . So Boll and Branch I ask you again WHERE IS MY REVIEW???? the true review about what a scam you are !! stay clear people

Had a similar experience... Mine pilled terribly after a month or two. They look awful. I emailed the CEO and they sent me a new set. Which has also pilled since I started using them in September, alternating between those and two other sets... So maybe I got 5-7 washings out of them before pilling?

Susan Giantvalley May 31, 2019

I hate them! They were the biggest rip off I have ever gotten into.
