About Zankyou says that they are the number one international wedding registry whose goal is to help couples not just registry for gifts but also to plan the wedding they really want.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, Zankyou was launched in 2007 “in order to help today’s modern couples easily organize the wedding they really want” by providing them with the most sophisticated online and mobile tools available today.

To do this their website provides the resources you need to build your wedding website, send your Save-the-Dates, set up your seating plan, track your RSVPs, and organize your gift registry – and that’s not even all they offer their customers. Their website says they also have “the most inspiring online wedding content and a business directory built with the most exclusive wedding suppliers.”

After you have built your wedding website your guests will be able to visit to find your gift registry, learn information about your wedding, or even share their pictures and comment with other guests, all in one place.

Mobile Options

This company does say that they provide their customers with a mobile application that you can download on both iOS and Android devices.

Cost/Price Plans

Their website says that the only fee they charge their customers at this time is a 2.50% transaction fee of the amount that is contributed, with a minimum of $0.99 per transaction. This fee is necessary to cover their point-of-sale software and all administrative costs.

With their standard setup, their website charges this fee to the couple themselves, however, couples can choose to let their guests pay this fee instead. In this case, the fee will be added to the final amount when guests pay for their gifts.

This company also offers a premium “Preferential” wedding registry fee that is $39 and lowers the transaction fee to 1.95% and a minimum of $0.50 per transaction. Their website does say that they believe their rates are the lowest currently available on the market.

Refund Policy

Because of the nature of the gifts being sold by this website, there isn’t a way to provide a standard Refund Policy for their customers, and unfortunately this website does not provide any information to their couples or to their guests about how to alter or change a gift that has been purchased through this site. Concerned customers will need to contact Customer Service to get the help and assistance they need.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact their Customer Service team with questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 646-564-5601 or by using their website’s Live Chat feature when it is available.

This company appears to offer a very well respected online registry for their customers at this time. They are regularly listed on bridal blogs and websites as one of the better options for a wedding registry that offers additional features and benefits to their couples, and it appears that the fees that they charge are very standard for this industry. Since this registry is free to set up, couples should feel comfortable trying it out for themselves.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are many different options for wedding registries available these days, including those that are specifically intended for honeymoons like Wanderable and Honeymoon Wishes, as well as those that are intended for everything that customers will want to register for, like Blueprint Registry, Zola, and many others.

If you have any experience with this company or their products, please leave your Zankyou reviews below.

Can't recommend

June 17, 2019

Was a guest at a wedding and a money transfer just vanished (it was deducted from my account transferred to zankyou, but allegedly never received there). Combine this with a customer service function that is either not available or a newbie (there turnover in customer service must be veeery high). Cut the long story short, money gone but can't really say if fraud, laziness or incompetence.
