Website: www.Yidio.com

Yidio is a company that allows users to search, discover, personalize, and watch television shows and movies across all available streaming services and providers in a single place, for free.

How Does Yidio Work?

According to their website, viewers know that the TV shows and movies they want to watch are available somewhere online, but being able to find what you want to watch when you want to watch it is not always easy.

Yidio.com solves this problem by pulling all the shows people want to watch from their various providers and collecting them in a single place. They claim to offer more than one million videos, in an attempt to make it easy to find your favorites.

And for customers who are not sure what they want to watch, they offer simple organization by provider and genre. In addition, if you create a personalized profile, they can offer you recommendations of shows and movies that you might like based on your other preferences.

They can also offer their members information about their favorite shows, including daily or weekly email when new episodes or clips are available, when your favorite shows are in the news, and more.

Cost/Price Plans

Yidio.com repeatedly emphasizes that their service is completely free. No fees paid at any time will be collected by Yidio themselves.

However, some of the content on their website can only be accessed if you have a subscription to the service that is providing that content. In order to watch these shows, you will be asked either to sign up for a subscription or to take part in a free trial service, but all fees are going to outside providers and not to Yidio.com.

Refund Policy

Since this company makes it clear that they do not take any fees from their customers, they do not offer any Refund Policy. If you have signed up for a trial or subscription from a provider that was listed on their website, you must contact that website or provider directly in order to cancel your trial or your subscription, or to discuss any potential refunds.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.

Reputation

In general this service has very mixed reviews, with most of the people reporting negative experiences repeating the same complaint over and over again: this service is not really free.

This complaints are not exactly accurate. Yido.com does provide free services, but the bottom line is that so many of their shows are taken from subscription based services that very little on their website or mobile app can actually be watched for free.

If you are a customer that already has accounts for Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, you are likely to appreciate this service more than other users, because a wider range of content will be available for you to watch.

If you're someone who is looking for access to content without having to pay for it, then this service is not really for you, as it is not a pirating service – it is simply an aggregate service.

Competitors and Alternatives?

As mentioned above, this company doesn’t actually offer any content themselves; all their content is pulled from other providers.

The only service they really offer is the ability to have access to all the content in a single place. So if that is not really the online TV or movie service you were looking for, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Nothing is free. It seems that Yidio is a good deal. at $48.00 for a year subscription. Last time I checked, Prime was $100./year. It's more now. Hulu is $6.00 a month. Put them all together and if you can access the same content for $48.00/year, you've saved money and hassle.
