About XHose

The XHose, found online at XHose.com, is described on their website as the “world's first and ONLY expanding hose” which addresses common problems caused by the storage and usage of traditional garden hoses.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, standard garden hoses are a specific size and do not expand or retract, so homeowners who require a hose that can reach far distances must also have the necessary room to store a hose of extended length.

XHose.com says that hoses of extended length tend to easily kink and tangle when they are unraveled and pulled across a yard. This causes water stoppage and forces homeowners to manually straighten and untangle their hose to get it working again.

XHose was created to solve these common problems. As an expandable water hose, the hose uses a special construction so that it begins as a compact and easy to store item but can stretch to over twice its length.

This website also offers the XHose Pro, the upgraded XHose, which automatically expands and contracts, has a 3/4" exterior diameter for a more powerful spray, and solid brass fittings so it is stronger than ever.

Cost/Price Plans

The prices for the XHose begin at $19.95 for the 25 foot hose, and raises in price by $10.00 for each upgrade in length, with the 100 foot hose being priced at $59.95. There is also a Shipping & Handling charge for each hose, beginning at $7.95.

The XHose Pro is available in various length increments as the regular XHose, starting at $29.95 for the 25 foot hose, $49.95 for the 50 foot hose, and $69.95 for the 100 foot hose, with the ability of choosing to receive a second hose of the same length for just an extra cost of Shipping & Handling, starting at $8.95.

Refund Policy

Though this website says that it offers a 90 day Refund Policy, there are not any actual details of this policy published on their website at this time.

Unfortunately the XHose and XHose Pro both seem to receive fairly negative reviews, with consistent complaints of leaking and breaking occurring after just a few uses.

Competitors and Alternatives?

Contrary to their claim of being the “world’s only” expandable hose, there are other competitors such as the Flex-able Hose or the Pocket Hose, which is actually available at Home Depot.
