I had been on this site for some time, and written to a few women I was interested in, fortunately I have been extremely sceptical. I then stopped for a while, I then returned to rekindle with one, in the letter i asked if she remembered me as she had written twice to me, she said yes she misses our live chats.

I had never chatted live to her before.

I also changed my name on the site, suddenly where my name appeared in the letters, changed to my new name.

This is proof that these letters are templates whereby names of random receivers are inserted and therefore were not written by the women in the photo but the letters are sent randomly to men to lure them into spending money writing letters.

The women are real but most of the women's true intentions are to mislead men into false hope and paying money to continue to a point and then break off the communication.

You are partly correct when you say to Tim, "When our customers change their name on their profile, this will be visable to all the ladies and, naturally, they will begin to refer to you by your updated name." If a real and genuine woman IS writing to you she WILL use whatever name appears in your profile. However, the vast majority of introduction letters are prewritten either by the agency or sometimes by the woman herself. Most of these letters are NOT sent out by the ladies but are sent by computer-bot to hundreds if not thousands of men based on the age requirements posted in each mans profile. You can use any name you like such as DOGFACE, JERK, LOSER, and the computer bot does not know the difference and so you will get a letter addressed to whatever name is posted on your profile. If a real woman saw a name like that she would immediately ask why you have such a name.I have done this myself!! It is amazing to me Gregory that you will continue to work for and be the public relations mouthpiece at a company that is involved in such deceptive and mendacious practices. ANASTASIA WEB is a cleverly crafted ruse designed to separate gullible men from their hard earned money. It is NOT a legitimate marriage agency but a modern version of the 'old west' saloon girl or the modern B girl. The customer is offered electronic affection at a very high price. The only winners in this emotional shell game are ANASTASIA, the girls local agency and the girl herself. Everyone in the loop gets a piece of the financial action including the girl. Every once in awhile a marriage between a Western man and a foreign woman takes place and ANASTASIA takes advantage of the publicity to promote themselves as a marriage agency. Their primary business is to collect money for overpriced products such as letters, chats, video chats, flowers, gifts, phone calls, travel packages and socials so as to enrich their bottom line. Being a real marriage agency is last on their list of business priorities because there is not as much money to be made in just introducing two people to each other and letting nature take its course. ANASTASIAS' business model is based on lies, deceit and sleight of hand.

I have to agree that the so-called introductory letters are sent *automatically* by computer-bot or something like it. It is clearly evident that the women certainly do NOT write individual letters to each man. They are *generic* letters that someone writes and then gets sent out automatically to any man who matches the age requirements. I tested this by writing in my profile certain facts, and requested that any lady contacting me reference one of these facts so that I would have some idea that my profile was actually read. Well, only one (1) out of over 150 introductory letters contained even a shred of evidence. The remainder of the letter was fluff, however, and did nothing to convince me that the author was sincerely interested in me. I would guess that whatever person wrote that letter probably got fired or quit. :-/

The remainder of the intro letters claim that they have chatted with me online, or that they read my profile numerous times and loved what I wrote. I have *never* ever chatted online - especially because of the ridiculous cost for chat. And if the intro letters are supposed to be sincere, why were none of the facts I included in my profile mentioned in the intro letters. I could probably write that all the women are evil (or some other inflammatory and derogatory term) and the letters would still say that they loved my profile!

Oh, and I have actually stayed online continuously for hours on end to see who of the women are online and available for chat. It is quite strange that *many* of the same women are available for chat nearly 24 hours a day!!! I know the time difference, and these lawyers and teachers and nurses *should* be at work at least part of the day... but they are online trying to start chats with me. I'm over 50 and the women attempting to chat are in their 20s. They *surely* did NOT read my profile which clearly states that I'm not interested in anyone younger than 45.

So with all these facts (yes, they are facts), I have serious doubts that *any* women on the site are truly interested in meeting anyone. They're on the site to make money, to take *our* money. I believe I have a better chance of meeting someone if I go on vacation to Ukraine and wander down the street and simply talk to women. I speak enough Russian and am learning Ukrainian language (not difficult with a little Russian background), we would have a wonderful time learning each other's language and about each other. And I wouldn't be *forced* to pay for letter translations when I do NOT need translations! If any of these sites were operating in the interest of the individuals on the site, they would provide *options* to communicate directly - without forcing an unnecessary translation.

My opinion: Don't trust *any* of the so-called international marriage or dating sites - not just the one referenced in this thread.

I totally agree!

Any man that is looking for a wife and decides to look for one that has the attitude that women in America had twenty or thirty years ago, needs to seriously consider the women in Ukraine. I must warn you though that you will feel like a kid in a candy store. There are so many beautiful women on this site that your first problem will be choosing the ones that you want to start communicating with. I know I did.

I have met the one that is the right one for me. I met her in a rather unusual way. I was talking to one beautiful girl, but was having difficulty understanding some of her attitudes. I felt that I just did not understand some of the cultural differences well enough, so I chose another girl that had impressed me by the way she had written her profile and asked for her help in understanding. She agreed to help me and she did. She was very ethical, and some of the questions I asked she graciously declined to answer, saying that she did not know enough about the specifics of the situation.

As I began to communicate with her, she impressed me so much with her intelligence, her wisdom, and her ethical attitude. It did not take me long to realize I was perusing the wrong girl. But now I was afraid to approach her about our getting acquainted. It took me two or three months to finally get the nerve to contact her and ask if we could talk about US. She agreed for us to start our communication, but she did it with reservation and hesitation. I had given her an initial negative attitude about me. After a month or six weeks she finally told me in chat, "You can now officially court me." That was a marvelous statement for me to hear.

Counting the time I spent with Aliona explaining to me about her culture, we have been communicating for over a year. It has been a wonderful experience. Not only is she very intelligent, has a tremendous amount of wisdom, a great sense of humor, she also has a wonderful belief and attitude toward love, home, and family--just what I have been looking for. We have not had any major disagreements in the year of communication, and the ones that we have had, we discussed, resolved, and in most cases, after I had time to think about all that we said, I found that she was more right than I was. One of those times after I told her that she was correct, she laughed and said, "You let a woman change your mind? You must be in love!" We both got a good laugh out of that statement.

WE are to the point now that I will make the trip to Nikolaev very soon so that we can confirm our beliefs about each other and set ourselves on the final path for marriage. I have decided that it would be better and easier for Aliona if am the one that will make the major move. I will make the move and will live with her in Nikolaev. I want her to be happy, and I know that if she is able to still be with her family and friends, it will be much easier and ultimately better for her. We have laughed about the saying, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" I want her to be happy, because I know that if she is happy, I will be also.

I am very anxious to make the trip for out first meeting, and then to make the move so that we can start our life together. I am so lucky and blessed to have found the girl that I have searched for now for seven years. She is my dream fulfilled.

All I can say is that Anastasia Date has made it all possible. They have provided all the service and help that one could ever expect from a site that makes it possible for two people that are over 5,700 miles apart to have the chance to meet and fall in love. Probably "Gregory" from ADate scam central.

A little background is needed. I married a RUSSIAN WOMAN from one of these site and we will celebrate out 15year anniversary soon. Produced Two kids and I am very happy that I did what I did when I did it. I also have foreign friends who are married to … for 10 or more years and they are also very happy. Here is the problem... The environment today is very different than it was 15 even 10 years ago when it was legit or at least semi on the up and up. It is a business and a RUSSIAN/UKRAINIAN BUSINESS which is always suspect. With the passing of the IMBRA law that was SUPPOSED too protect your privacy has given the Mobsters a legal right to screw you and deny you any information thus making it virtually impossible to actually meet anyone. The IMBRA law only protect the business from actually losing too many girls. As I stated in today’s day and age the girls are in on the scam they know the law and are taught how to play you. I know women from the site who romance foreigners, get visas to the USA under the pretence of marriage only to return to their boyfriends after one or two months of vacationing abroad. It is very common here to have a woman disappear for a few months without any explanation. The amazing thing is the lying without any remorse or sense of any wrong doing. So for all the foreigner who feel they getting screwed, there is most likely a guy here who is trying to find out the whereabouts of his girl. It is a bit sad but very funny. I have a chicky on the side who has vacationed abroad and returned after the allotted time limit. For me it is inconvenient simply because I need to get her retested. But it is ok because push come to shove I can simply find another in a week or so. They only way to survive this place is to have money which I give directly to the women "NEVER THE AGENCY". The Russian Mob is behind this site. Don't contribute to the criminal underbelly of Eastern Europe! Do not join Anastasiadate!!

Let's make this really simple in order for everyone to understand what's really going on with Anastasia Date.com. by referring to a great piece of dialog from a late 1960's TV series that reads: "Everything I'm telling you is a lie, and I'm lying to you now." I only contacted one allegedly beautiful women on this ridiculous site by the name of Ekaterina (Katia), whose profile indicated that she was 31 years old, weighing 127 pounds. After numerous email and live chat exchanges, Katia suddenly developed a crisis of conscience, and admitted to me that she was actually 44 years old and in reality weighed ONLY 163 pounds, with her photos on this site NOT being hers. I immediately conveyed my disgust and disappointment of her fraud and contacted PayPal to get a full refund of the money I wasted on this site. Not surprisingly, after PayPal filed numerous dispute complaints with Anastasia, they never received any reply and my money was completely refunded. However, my complaints filed with Anastasia customer service took a really odd turn where they denied that any such admissions by their client never occurred, and that her profile was totally accurate as depicted and described. Their denials were so blatant to where the claimed that the last live chat session I had with Katia dealt only with her simply telling me that she just wanted to be friends and then she abruptly end the session. So the site neatly edited and eliminated everything from that chat session as that would be considered evidence of the scam their client was perpetrating. I've now come away with the sense that nothing on this site may be what it appears to be, and perhaps the stunning photos of woman are simply lifted from modeling agencies somewhere online and when you establish contact with the lovely ladies that you're actually conversing with men who are pretending to be women in order to get gullible and naive men to waste their hard-earned money on this site. STAY AWARE FROM THIS SITE. THIS IS BAD AS IT GETS.

Prayerfully isn't even a word Anastasia rep! Learn English before giving false testimony!

The site is a total scam without the slightest exaggeration.

I have been on this site for more than five months and have spent about five hundred dollars! Only now I know what they are up to!

These are my findings;

- most of the girls look 180 degrees different than their pictures. I know this because I have been to Odessa and Kiev.

- most of the girls if not all of them are being paid by the agency (anastasiadat.com) for the letters they write and for the chats they make with the guys. Once can say that they are employed by the site.

- some of the letters are not even written by the girls from the profiles.

- most of these girls lie about their professions. If you ask them something technical about their jobs, they either don't answer your questions or don't bother to write back to you.

- most of these girls have boyfriends. As I mentioned before I have been twice to Ukraine and spent enough time there and chatted to locals to know about this, not to mention about my own experiences while being there.

- In general the Ukrainian culture is very different to the Western culture. They are not a sincere bunch of people. Lies are part of their daily lives and they believe sincere people are not a bright bunch of people!

- do your own research on other sites to find out more.

Here is what you should do if you are still a member and have the same issues as I had;

Take screen shots of every suspicious move and keep it in a file. Every letter/email you write to the agency, take screen shots and file these.

When you think you have had enough evidence, write to the agency and demand your money back. If they do not agree to your demands, make a formal complaint with the evidence you have gathered to one of the major internet complaint sites for them to take action on your behalf. You do not need to hire a lawyer, unless you have been scammed thousands of dollars.

Not to mention that the language can be an obstacle too !! Is there some sort of Russian Mafia behind this ?? Would you put your face photo on it if you knew the Mafia were involved ?? Okay I've got more questions than answers !!!

Find a photo of an old man in his late 80's. Create a profile on AnastasiaDate using 1925 as your birthdate. You will quickly see that hundreds of ladies age 18 to 21 will invite you to chat with them. They don't care about you because they are engaging you to make kickback money from chatting, video dates, phone conversations, and flowers. This is an expensive way to chat with a phantom pretty girl who really may be quite unattractive if you ever happen to see the "real" lady whom you thought you were developing a relationship with. I was a victim of fraud and the lady in Odessa actually wanted to meet me but only after she confessed that the girl in the profile was her friend. Even the photo of the lady holding the flowers which I bought for her birthday was a photo of her friend. She emailed her real photo of herself to me and I was not surprised to see why she was using her friend's photos instead of hers.

Does that gregroy every respond to complaints here?

It's pleasing to view so many ladies pictures on Anastasia. Also, to receive so many solicitations from many ladies. I believe Anastasia means well and their staff is good at customer service and answering questions.

Several concerns are these:

1. that the pictures on a girls profile are professionally taken. Then

when I receive a letter and a "regular" picture, that picture looks

quite a bit different than the ones with tight dress, make up, etc.

It's not just the tight dresses and make up either that distinguishes

these pictures.

2. Anastasia allows the girl to rate her abilities in the English language instead of rating her ability by Anastasia. I feel this

is a mistake. Anastasia has a "verification" process for these

women, yet no verification for English communicating skills, which

of course is so important in developing a good relationship.

I feel that this is a mistake. Oftentimes, the lady misrepresents her

ability, thus requiring interpreter services. "Intermediate" is often used

by a lady. I take that to mean she knows and speaks SOME ENGLISH

without needing an interpreter in a normal conversation. Instead, she

still needs an interpreter, which the foreigner pays for.

3. I have read allegations of girls getting paid and/or receiving gifts by these agencies for chat, etc. Anastasia's position is that they police this type of thing, which to me means that this type of scam occurs, but they try to limit it. So caveat emptor: let the buyer beware!

The site is expensive to use for flirtation. But if you have the funds

and are willing to travel to Ukraine to meet a lady, the potential is

there to find a lovely lady for friendship, long term relationship, or

even marriage. Many ladies are sincerely looking for a good man.

Represent yourself honestly and in a positive light and look for a woman who returns those qualities.

When are you idiots going to figure out this is one huge rip-off. Do we have to advertise more . . . see all of our links out there? We are making an insane amount of money and making you the fool because of it! All the way to the bank baby!!

I have been on Anastasia Web Site since September 2012. During that time I have found their service outstanding. They are very professional in the way the site works, the screening of both myself and the ladies that are registered with them.

I have met the most wonderful and lovely woman on the site and both of us agree that we feel very safe using Anastasia and enjoy the On Line Chat and Call Me Service as part of our growing relationship.

The whole country (Ukraine) is into this scam, as they are all making money out of 'promoting their women'! The Ukrainian guys do not mind at all as they know their women is bringing money back to them!

There are thousands of "wife seeming" men traveling to this country spending thousands of dollars! Be very careful! You could spend that money on yourself to get in better shape to find a woman in your own country! Wise up and stop being lured with those professionally taken pictures!

The site is very expensive to use even though the company claims it is free. They have many rules which prohibit the women from giving you their personal contact information and a built-in censor to prohibit personal information from being sent during paid chat.

The site works with local agencies to attract women to the site. Many of the local sites pay their women in the form of gifts (iPad, iPod, computers et Al) or money for getting men to chest with them. Zaporozhye is one of those cities with a local site that offers women gifts or money and women from that location should be avoided. Many are professional scammers that do not even live in Zaporozhye. It is sometimes easy to prove this as many of the women have Facebook and VK.com accounts they will never tell you about but shows they actually live in different cities and have Skype accounts. Many of these women can also be found on different dating sites sponsored by the same local agent.

Undoubtedly, there are some women looming for a genuine relationship. However, it will cost you a great deal of money to sort through the Professional Scammers.

I think the people who work in this business must have great satisfaction in bringing people together.

I must admit at first I was unsure because I found it hard to believe that I could find someone, it seems now there is hope of a happier life and a new future for me,

My appreciation to Anastasia Date I found their customer service very helpful to me, and now I have a nice friend, who knows what the future holds.

They are a real business and it is so nice to speak to a real person and be confident that the people you meet are real and not someone playing with your heart.

I have had both positive and negative experiences in online dating, and that goes the same with the AnastasiaDate website. I know that AnastasiaDate is the syndicating umbrella for a number of dating agencies. Some of these local agencies do not subscribe to the standards we all expect. That being said, I have been able to talk to some very beautiful women on this site. And I have started dating a lovely young lady that I have met thru AnastasiaDate who has moved close to me to work and further her education.

The biggest issue I have had with the service is with the cost of the chat service, which includes translation service, the censorship goes too far and that you cannot share music, social media, or other personal information. Yes I understand there are rules in US immigration that have some relevance, but these rules do not apply to me as a Canadian. Especially if I am able to read and write in Russian, or the lady I am talking to can speak and write in English. We should be able to use other more personal systems like Skype, or share social media. In my opinion TRUST should be open in any relationship and she should be able to see and search for any information about me, and I should be able to do the same.

That being said I am happy to use their service, and even paying for many of their services as their services are "above average".

Locals whom visited admired the apartment accomodation I was in . But remember we are talking about a struggling country . The lady I met had pictures professionally taken and put on her profile . I actually found her to be even more attractive than her photos . Our friend ship was tested during the visit with setbacks which do happen . These tended not to be obstacles . From my next visit , I have a goal of a commitment from her to come over to check out where I live for a month or two on a tourist visa , to see if she can cope . All going well then we start the graduated visa process . ( Fiance and then marriage . ) . Rome was not built in a day . It looks like I have met an incredible lady . Uh, Doug, your experience was not "priceless" - I'm sure you got cleaned - and good luck with your future endeavors!!

I am relatively new to Anastasia Date, but I have found it to be a delightful web site. It is easy to search for ladies that match the criteria I have established, it is easy to engage in conversation and correspondence is simple. Letters from the ladies come often with regular notice that they are in the inbox.

I find the quality of the website to be matched by the quality of the ladies who have membership and participate.

I have also been impressed by the quality of translation for the ladies who are still learning English.

When I have had questions regarding the services, customer service has answered very quickly with detailed and thorough answers - not vague and difficult to understand. Sometimes additional insights have been offered that have made the response extremely helpgul.

I have not yet had opportunity to participate in one of the tours, but I believe it would have the same high quality I have come to enjoy from the website. The tour descriptions sound very intriguing - and would be helpful in meeting the ladies who have piqued my interest.

I have used this service for 1 month already and planning on visiting Ukraine this summer. So far enjoying the service.

I don't know what to believe. Some guys like the site and others don't. The guys that do seem to have gotten married or have serious relationships. The guys that don't seem to have been scammed or rejected by a girl. What I don't get is if Anastasia is a website of many agencies but Anastasia doesn't have any agencies of their own...then how is a website to blame? Seems the problem is the agencies if any. Lastly, how can anyone be scammed unless you are just blind or what?

According to past Federal Trade Commission Commissioner Roscoe B. Starek, III, this would come under the myth of "If all you do is produce the infomercial (website),you are not responsible for deceptive claims." He said in a 1996 speech, "Furthermore, just calling yourself a 'producer' ( or website operator) does not remove the possibility that you may be liable as a principle. Your title is not as important as who actually holds the reins. In many cases, the so called 'producer' (website operator Anastasia) had authority over the content, format and editing of the infomercial (website) and also received the lions share of the revenue." Anastasia advertises in a mendacious and deceptive way and so anyone that purchases their services in good faith is not a self made sucker but a victim of Anastasias predatory business model.

ANASTASIA is NOT a marriage agency but a highly crafted scam posing as a marriage agency. Be prepared to have your eyes opened. To Gregory-Anastasia Date Customer Service,

I will cut right to the chase. ModelMk.ua advertises themselves as a 'Video Chat Agency'. On their "home" page they state, "We are pleased to offer the prestigious,creative,high -paying job model-video chat." They are directly advertising for girls to join their company and get PAID money to chat with foreign men. On their page entitled "Compensation" there is a chart posted that lays out how much money a girl can be paid for generating a certain amount of revenue for billable chat time in a month. On their page entitled "Operating conditions" your parent company Svadba.com (The parent company of ANASTASIA) is listed as a client and partner agency of their company. Interestingly enough, there is no mention of romance or marriage whatsoever on this website. My direct question to you is, Do you hire girls from ModelMK.ua? If you do hire girls from this company then they EXPECT to get paid and you are not telling the truth when you say that they are not getting financially compensated. If you don't have any relationship with ModelMK.ua ,then they are lying and using your name falsely. On their page entitled "Operating conditions" they also state that they have "Available equipment and Internet channel allows a web model easily work together on 5-10 video sites" I have actually done this and chatted with a girl on your site ANASTASIA at the same time as I was chatting with her on HOT RUSSIAN BRIDES and she didin't even know that it was me. So I suspect that you are in a business relationship with ModelMK.ua and are fully aware of how your business model works. If you care to answer me I would appreciate a DIRECT answer and not a disingenuously crafted reply such as I received in regards to my comment that the women on your website receive gifts for communicating with unsuspecting men.

I am convinced that Anastasiadating is a scam. The girls will not meet with you, and there is one thing I wonder very much about.

It appeared from my profile that I was 56 years old, and it surprised me that many girls from 20 to 30 years contacted me. It would meet, they wrote sweet things to me to a man of 56 years.

I could not understand that as young girls would contact me. I was approached by many young girls.

I did not contact some of the girls on Anastasia, but found many of the girls on vk.com how many of the girls have a profile.

I hear not from the girls when I contacted them on their vk.profil. However, some written back that they only use Anastasiadating because they have a contract with Anastasiadating. Anastasia is also very expensive to use. A mail costs 50 Danish kr to open and a e-mail costs 50 Danish kr to send. So it is 100 Danish kroner every time you are in contact with a girl from Anastasia. Their webcam costing about 1000 danish kr. to use per hour. Totally insan

There are many other dating sites that is excellent and is much cheaper to use.

You can also use skype, yahoo messenger, facbook, twitter completely free, and gogle has an excellent translation program.

I do not recommend using Anastasiadating. The datingsite the pure scams and fraud, and just a money machine, some from Anastasia earn lots of money with the prices'

Find another page which is much cheaper to use and work well

To Bill - I still work, and I have a good job

I have long since stopped using Anastasia, but I mean that all people should be told the truth about Anastasia.

I have now found me a sweet wife and we live life.

I found my wife in a different and much cheaper dating site.

Anastasia have not delete my profile yet, and I still get many girls as contact me, but I not contact any of the girls back on Anastasia.
