About World Patent Marketing
World Patent Marketing, found online at WorldPatentMarketing.com, is a company that describes itself as “the world’s leading patent and inventor services authority” and promises to help people with the complicated process of patenting a new idea.
How Does It Work?
The reality is that World Patent Marketing doesn’t really offer any specific information that is well outlined about the services they will provide for you in terms of full product development or really in terms of what they will provide you when securing a patent.
A PR statement released by their company claims that they offer their customers “patent prosecution, licensing, trading, investment and manufacturing services” and have expertise in “patent research, patent filings, patent searches, invention studies, utility patents, design patents, PCTs, European Union Patents, China Patents, manufacturing, licensing and more.”
The fact that this information was provided in a marketing campaign but isn’t outlined on their website is a bit frustrating, but it points customers in the general direction of what they may be able to expect from this company.
In order to get the real specifics on what this company can offer, customers are asked to either submit a free Request for Information or to contact the company directly.
Before you contact them, however, their website offers a very long list of steps that people can take on their own in terms of documenting their idea, how they came up with it and everything that relates to their invention, including potential drawings and sketches, in order to be prepared for the next steps which have to do with patent research and filing the actual patent.
This website does not provide any information at all regarding the pricing for their services. In order to get an idea of pricing, individual inventors will need to utilize their request for Free Information or to contact a Representative directly.
That being said, other similar companies often charge extremely high prices for the services they provide, and World Patent Marketing does not spend any time or effort on their website emphasizing the affordability of their services, so customers should expect that a lot of money will need to be invested in getting their patent and ultimately bringing their idea to market.
This website also does not provide any information regarding a potential Refund Policy or a Guarantee of any kind, other than to promise that each individual who discusses an idea with them is protected by their Confidentiality Guarantee. Unless you are told otherwise by a representative of the company, customers should assume that all fees paid to this company are not eligible for refund, regardless of the outcome or your satisfaction with their services.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 888-926-8174, by email at [email protected], or through their website’s Live Chat feature whenever it is available.
This website has overwhelmingly positive reviews throughout the internet, including a note on popular complaint website Ripoff Report expressing a vote of confidence that this company genuinely has its customers’ interests and good experiences at heart.
That being said, it is a little worrisome that this company is so vague about what services they will specifically provide for their customers. Generally speaking, when a website is designed to provide a minimum of information and will only provide specifics when you speak to someone directly, this is usually a way to get you speaking to a designated salesman whose job it will ultimately be to sell you.
This can be a difficult manner of getting information, and can result in some people feeling pressured or in people actually being pressured into investing money before they may be ready.
However, when compared to other companies in this same industry, it is very inspiring that they have such positive reviews, as the patent and product development industry is usually full of people who have been extremely disappointed with the services they’ve received or been offered.

There are many different companies that offer customers help with inventions, patents, product development, and all the stages in between, including Davison Inventions, Quirky.com, InventMyIdea.com, Inventing.com, InventHelp, Innovation Direct, and more.

They are all liars and scammers!!! My friend was scammed out of a lot of money!!! Now the FTC is handling it all!!!
I want to do a shout out to all who are considering bringing their ideas to WPM.
Do it. If you have an idea that is unique, if you want someone who you can trust your
idea to and if you want to work with professionals who will do everything they can to professionally bring your idea to market, go to WPM. I began my journey with WPM in the Fall of 2014. I had an idea that wouldn't let me sleep at night. I had to tell someone and see how to make it become a reality. It was so simple but so weird. It had to work! I researched different companies but none resonated with me until I found WPM. They not only are a one stop shop for inventors, they also do a tremendous amount of good in the world for children and veterans and many others. That was really important to me! I also was pretty impressed by their amazing Advisory Board. My idea was a quirky little take on Big Foot I called Squatch on a Box. It was clear that my idea was odd , so odd that it was a bit out of place- different- goofy- but something about it’s quirkiness got the attention of CEO Scott Cooper .... It was July 2015 when I received a call from Scott. I was so excited to be able to finally speak with him and tell him my story. He was incredible to talk to, so full of energy and questions, lots of them. How did I come up with this, where did this come from, who was my competition, what was up with the box??? In a second conversation that followed two weeks later he offered me a licensing agreement to manufacture and market my idea. He loved the idea of these Squatch characters, and heard from me that I was Open to other ways of doing this, not overly obsessed with my idea to the point of being closed to other suggestions. He wanted to drop the box. So...I said, 'let's drop the box!'. He is, after all, the one who knows what people want, what works, what doesn't, what's marketable, what makes fiscal sense....he is the expert in this field, not me, so you bet I listened to him! ( I still do). And that was the beginning of what I will say has been the most fun I have ever had in my life -. Squatch on a Box has been transformed into our new product Squatch World (check out SquatchWorld.com) Same concept, unique Squatches with different personalities, all now packaged within an entirely different product. The website is still being completed but can be viewed if you would like to check out what we’ve been up to. Scott and I are in communication almost daily now and it’s been an amazing process of such incredible creativity and wow, amazing artistry and graphics for our plush line. The incredible talent they have at WPM is mind boggling. Every day is like a birthday for me, something new is created for me to see. It is understandable why SquatchWorld has taken a bit more time than most products brought to WPM. We spent countless hours with prototype after prototype until we finally got one we both loved. Scott had the vision for a friendly approachable squatch for children and adults alike and was diligent to make it happen just the way he envisioned it. He has kept me involved very closely with the project since the very beginning. He is an amazing partner and strong perfectionist. I have tremendous respect for him. He is brutally honest, compassionate about bringing
great products to market in the most dynamic way possible for his inventors, and has amazing vision,
drive, the man never sleeps! I am honored to be a part of this amazing company.
My recommendation is this, when you bring your idea to WPM, keep an open mind and respect the experts there. Be open to the possibilities your Concept might be able to morph into. Remember who the experts are and want nothing less than the best.
Dreams can come true….and Boy can they!
I've used World Patent Marketing before and its a great company. I presented my idea, and they evaluated it with their honest opinion. They suggested a few things to get my product ready for the market. It took a while, but when I came back to them with my new and improved proposal, they gave me some options. I ran with the option to work to have them create the patent, manufacture the product, and distribute. Its almost like a one stop shop. I'm very happy with the results!
