TOPS Home Profit System Reviews – Legit or Scam?

TOPS Home Profit System

The TOPS Home Profit System, by Amanda Stevens, is promoting a work at home business system that claims to be an “easy, proven, and guaranteed way to make $379 a day and more.”

TOPS Home Profit System is new site which reports having a certified link posting training program. In addition, if you purchase their program you will receive a one-on-one consultation with a successful link poster.

Link posting is a form of affiliate marketing where you post advertising links for other companies. If a customer uses that link to purchase a product or service, you receive a commission from that sale.

Once you have completed the certified training program, TOPS Home Profit System says you are guaranteed a position as a Search Engine Agent.

What is a Search Engine Agent?

A Search Engine Agent is a new industry term for internet marketer who specifically makes a living posting links for other companies. Internet marketing generally encompasses a wide range of marketing techniques, with link posting only being a part of the bigger picture. However it has become common in the industry to refer to marketers who primarily post links as “Search Engine Agents.”

Part of the common misconceptions about Search Engine Agents is that they are being given a job by the large corporations they are posting links for. This is not the case. Link posting is an independent business opportunity. You partner with the larger corporations by becoming a part of their affiliate programs.

Large corporations will accept most affiliates because they have nothing to lose. They do not pay you any money unless the links you post result in sales to their company. In this matter the TOPS Home Profit System sales page is misleading, because it seems as though they are saying Search Engine Agents are paid to post links, when the reality is they are only paid when a link results in a sale.

Is TOPS Home Profit System Legit?

Well, many people make money affiliate marketing and link posting for other companies. The business opportunity is actually a very popular one.

TOPS Home Profit System does not fully explain how link posting works, however, as they fail to mention that posting links actually takes a monetary investment on your part, beyond the $97.00 you will pay for training.

But if you try and utilize all the training and tools offered by TOPS Home Profit System and decide that this business opportunity is not for you, you may request a refund within the first 90 days of purchase.

Some day we’ll see a legit business where the people who of course all make huge amounts of $$$, only ask for a commission for one’s earnings, that would be fair. But I’m afraid none of the internet business crooks really care about fairness….

I would love to find a legitimate work from home opportunity. I am disabled and badly need something to do with my time. Of course I could use a little extra cash as well. If anyone knows of a legitimate opportunity please let all of us know.

***This is definitely a scam. I spent a couple of hours looking into this information and checking the reputation of these people. Do NOT send these people your hard earned money!!!!

lol. They called me, and started asking me things and saying how they wanted me to pay. I wasn’t sure about it, and told them I didn’t have any money. I have never heard someone hang up faster. That was when I figured it was a scam. It just seemed too good to be true. I refuse to pay anything unless I know for sure it is legit. That’s why I did the research. I figure if I have to pay anything out of pocket I need to look into it to make sure it is legit first.

Essentially all the complaints posted here are from people who did not follow through with the program because of failure to disclose all commitments upfront or due to communication issues – these are very legitimate complaints. Conspicuously absent, however, are posts from people who followed through on all the steps of the program and invested some time, say 20 to 40 hours, working the system. This is either due to the fact that they are very satisfied with the program, or because no one reaches that stage because the program fails/is not intended to deliver the requisite means/know-how and is a bona fide scam.

Glad I read these reviews and found it is a scam. Even if you are considering buying this do not even think about paying $97. When you go back on the browser the “are you sure you want to exit” thing comes up and they drop the price to $77. If you still want to leave , the thing comes again and they drop the price to $47. Just goes to show, the product or service they are peddling really has no value and they just randomly price it at $97 so people will think that it has some valuable information. It is just junk.

This is a scam that I stupidly fell for. I originally found this website over a blog and that had comments of random people claiming it was legit and great so I decided to test it out. I paid the $97 and $27 for the vip kit and come to find out you don’t post things at all. Instead when I spoke to someone they wanted me to put 4K on a loan to start up a home business. Which is outrageous. I learned from my mistake and will never do it again.

I’m currently getting the funds put back into my account thanks to my bank. If you look them up on the BBB it shows that they have 4 different “accounts” and each one of them is ranked f. One has almost 400 complaints about them scamming everyone. I will also be adding a complaint onto the company. So if anyone has any issues getting money back 1. contact you bank. Get your card removed and replaced so they cannot steal your information. 2. file a report to get your money back through your bank and 3. file a complaint on the website so they can get shut down.

Make sure to do your research so you don’t get scammed out of anything. I learned from my lesson and will always check out the BBB and several websites about the company.

I was kind of lucky in that I bailed out of their registration process before they could get any money out of me. However, they did get even with me. Right after I bailed out of their registration process my daily email spam increased by a factor of 10. I’m sorry, but that really honked me off. I am now a couple of months removed from my original registration process bail out and my daily email spam is still 4X-5X what it used to be. Don’t even give these folks an email address that you expect to maintain. Use one of the new sites which provide email addresses only good for an hour.

God saved me from this by frustrating my card payments, i had already started the process until i had difficulty verifying my card. so i took a break and decided to make more research and then i noticed their advert on two different sites with two different “package names”, same feedback comments with different names (one english name, the other nigerian names but both having same comments), then i realized i almost sacrificed my precious $24.

is there a way to report sites like this because if nothing is done to bring them down people will keep falling victims before realizing

I came across this site via a legitimate job site here in the UK, and Immediately suspected that it was a scam even though it was posted on somewhere reputable.
If you read the small print at the bottom, it says that the ‘Kelly’ story is a composite as are the ‘reviews’ on there and are just as an example of what may be possible….I don’t know if this is the same in the US but here they have to show the ‘small print’….and it certainly is small!.
Despite suspecting it to be dodgy, I read through as I am currently out of work, but then cross checked the company with Google……surprise surprise!….I found this, and other similar forums, to enlighten me.
One day there will be ways to deal with these arseholes, they are like religions, they prey on those that are in need of something with promises of things that they can’t fulfil…….I’ve learned to be wary of anything like this to the extent of not even applying for some jobs that have later turned out to be legitimate.
That’s the sad thing……there must be many others that have done the same and possibly lost out, as I have.

    Keep up the good work…

When solicitation showed up on my screen, I happened to be on a popular job posting site . As soon as I saw that my fantastic opportunity would expire in 24 hours, I immediately recognized the format as I had fallen prey to a similar scam 2 yrs. prior.and contributed 74.99 hopefully to the chains which shall bind them to the Hell they are surely destined to . What was different was as I attempted to close out the tab ,I was asked did really want to close an and lose out on my chance to make all this easy money because Kelly only ..10 – 13 hrs. weekly ,and makes 2000.oo a week. And I now had less than 24 hrs. to register. TRULY UNBELIEVABLE THAT THESE PEOPLE CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT. My advice try to find something you like to do and work to get there .God bless the hard working people of the U.S.A

I am very thankful for honest people! You all are very appreciated because you also saved me $97 and a giant headache. How can they sleep at night knowing that they are getting rich by adding more poverty to an already suffering nation. What happened to the day when we actually cared about each others well being? Did we forget that we all are human? Did we forget that we all need each other to survive? I wish that I was able to create a system that actually works. What a blessing it would be to actually be able to help someone else, in a time when I cant even help myself. It is sad that they dont see or care to see the pain that they are causing their brothers and sisters. We are all 1.

I read about this on the IMPRESSIVE site. Its a well known site for daily news and clicked to continue reading. After I read every single word of it, as I was already started to think about it being a scam, I gave a very good eye for detail on the page and saw the MSNBC, CNN & BBC logos apart of others, so I thought this must be promising. I finally filled in my details getting ready for action but for a reason I couldn’t fill in the credit card detail part. Something inside me just kept saying no. First on the forum, everyone said it was free, then I was asked to pay $24.97 so I thought something was wrong.
I may have lost a huge amount of money and still cant say if its a scam or not, but I didnt sign in.
What Im trying to say is, is it possible that, even on such known sites with all those world wide known logos, it is possible to make a scam!??!

Let’s see…all you people plus thousands more @ $97 each comes out to a healthy and worthwhile scam venture. And this doesn’t count the people that spend even more before finally realizing they are wasting time and $$$. Next thing is to make it difficult, or next to impossible to get your money back, and statistics show many will just write it off as a loss and quit trying. They know this, and continue to extend their scam using their statistical data to further enrich themselves. Compared with the amt. of refunds issued, you can bet they are way ahead of the game. When they are finally to a point of saturation with bad reviews, they’ll just shut down and create a new scam using a “similar” structure. It’s called “easy money” from all the “suckers” of the world. This is not the first type of scam like this to appear on the internet, nor will it be the last. Always go to the reviews first before signing up for anything on the internet, or over the phone. And never give out your credit card number.

Ok, so I found the “home profit system” through the link, and here are a few indicators that it is absolute crap:

#1: “registration ends (surprisingly) the day after you are reading this (and will always be the day after, no matter what day you open the page)”

#2: “Kelly Richards of [insert town that’s close to wherever you’re logged in at] earns blah blah blah” yeah. I actually opened it at two different locations, and, you guessed it, she’s from two different places, and I’m guessing there’s no end to the # of “Kelly Richards” in the world

I could go on, but suffice it to say that I loathe these pathetic, scamming assholes, and I hope they lose all they have invested into their schemes and more. If you can’t make money honestly through the BENEFIT of others, then you certainly don’t deserve it. #doneranting

Very misleading ad! MARKETING is what reels people in, like myself! When it says “free” read the very, very fine print! I too paid the $97 not paying attention to my knowledge of marketing, because like most of America, I am currently unemployed and desperate! “$97″ ,is that bad and I can do this!” Then, I find out there will be more cost involved, additional fees! WOW, “how stupid could I have been?”! I sent an email requesting my $97 be credited back to my account! It was reversed then charged again! HMMMM? I then called customer service, several times, waiting!!! Someone finally answered, although I had to be very patient while being on hold; it took 20 minutes. I had decided I wasn’t hanging up until someone answered. Aaron was very professional, credited my account, and told me I would receive a confirmation email. I did ask for a confirmation number which he kindly provided.

I really can’t say if this is a scam or not! I don’t know! What I do know is, I am not willing to invest time nor money into any company who misleads or misguides good hard-working people!

Oh and one more thing, not only ammanda is on it, there is another guy who explains his sittuation with his daughter before he ran into this program, which is bullcrap… dont buy into it, it is the exact same thing.

Your credit card company should dispute the charge for you. The guarantee is supposed to be for any reason but then they back off. The general idea training is intriguing in the sense that it raises possibilities, but I could.t find out how to get people to let me solve problems for them for pay except by becoming a leader.

Hi Everyone, Well as for TOPS I paid my $97.00 and I did my due diligence as to the back office and found it was more involved then was explained on the website. No one called me to train me as to what to exactly do, then I got a call from another work at home program and they got our information from tops. Oh and to just let you know I called customer service yesterday and held for a Rep for 6 hours… Ridiculous !!! I called again today and finally got a person and told them I wanted my $97.00 back. I was told that $97.00 was put back on my card but will take 5 days to show… I will be watching and it better show up or I will be on them like white on rice.

I am not going to call it a SCAM YET, but I never made a nickel and I had it long enough and I gave it 150% shot with no results.

The thing is is that My friend didn’t send this to me. It seems that these people have hacked his email and sent this advertising in his Name. I called him, and everyone in his friend list got this email. Now how is it that such a great company would hack someones email? Shame on these thieves!

When I was asked for my phone number, I gave them the number of another scam company that wants you to sign up for college courses (855-365-4046) I knew if I gave my correct phone number that I would be getting non-stop phone calls. So now when these idiots call the above number, they will be harassing the harassers!

With credit card in hand I was ready to go….and then just before the end of their long winded diatribe I started to see misspelled words in their text. Who doesn’t double check what they’ve written??? So I Googled them…just like the rest of you did.

Honestly, were it not for that I might have spent the $97 to give it a try.

Thank you ALL who have unfortunately succumbed to this scam that have posted their stories….makes me want to reach in and shake Amanda by the short hairs….as if any of us had the extra $97 to give away.

I hanged up and called another number given and when they answered , he told me very little, and clearly stated that if I get it I will have to wait to be answer over the phone. then another $50 have to spend in something else. I was almost to purchase. He said it is not 3 steps. It is 6 steps.
    Thank you guys.

    Hey everyone
I got in, paid the 97$ then hte webhosting… my password and login info work…. i then was expecting to have my site ready within 2 days like they say, but instead I got contacted by their management for like 2 hours interview….

I got selected to work with them, and the gentlemen admitted that they get more than 4000 applying per week, but they only contact back about 20 as they see who is potential and serious…
Then through the interview they come to decide if you are really worth it (being trained and taught or not) etc… and they ask you to put between 10 and 20 hours a week!
Did anybody get this far with this T.O.P.S.!

Cos they then asked me for the major main purchase (the course, business expense refundable) to start the business and it cost 4995$! Paid it although i did not have the money (borrowed it from my son, and I am scheduled to start my first training lesson on Monday morning and I was promised to make money with 8 weeks, worth 2000$ per month as a start on average!
    So any thoughts?

This may or may not be a scam, I don’t know because I didn’t order it I just inquired and did a little bit of research, but what I am seeing are flaws in the thought process of the people commenting on this. First of all, Tops claims you can make an AVERAGE of $15/hour, which tells me that it is based on commision which naturally implies that you may or may not make money on each link you post. Second of all, you are not paying money for employment, you are paying money for a kit to teach you how to work online as an independent agent. Having said that, I do see there are customer service problems and such with the product so I am not going to buy it, unless I find evidence to the contrary. A little bit of thought goes a long way people.

It is important to us that you are 100% satisfied with the program. If you are not 100% satisfied with our online money making system then you should be entitled to a full refund of the money you spend on any of our products and services. However, it is important that you make an attempt to utilize all of the tools we have available. If you do not make a true attempt within 4 weeks of purchasing The TOPS Home Profit System, then our company takes no responsibility and we will not be held responsible for your lack of actions and a refund will not be granted. It is important that you read the information carefully and make sure that this type of business is something you can do before you decide to move forward and purchase our system.

As a company we are not looking to waste anyone’s time or money. All we ask is for the opportunity to show you and all of our members how easy it is to make money online with our proven system. Nothing is given to us in life if it was no one would be looking for ways to better ourselves. Never the less what we are saying is that this system works and we stand behind it 100%! We are willing to give you 90 days to get a full refund on your purchase if you truly give our system a chance and you are just not satisfied.

You will not be able to find another online system that will give you the tools you need to succeed as well as offer you a 90 day money back guarantee. You might see companies out there with 365 day guaranties, but I want to ask you a couple questions. Does a 365 day money back guarantee make sense? Is it going to take a year for you to find out that a product or service you purchased today, does not work? I don’t think so! If you make a purchase like ours, you will know within the first 7 days if this is something you can do or not. So with that being said I hope you can see the value in our system and stay on as a member and become one of the people we talk about on our site.

If there was a zero rating this company would get it!! No legitimate business charges YOU money to work for them. These online business things are similar to the “Get a FREE giftcard” or “Get a FREE laptop” scams that are out there. The offers just keep going and going and never seem to end and in the end you never recieve your product that you originally started out for but you have still spent a bunch of money. Watch out people. I was tempted to get the offer until I came across this forum. You guys saved me from even thinking about it. The “news casts” that they have on the website are very decieving and make it seem like a legitimate thing, since it is being broadcast on television.

**Someone noted that they lower the price for you if you try to leave the site and it can get as low as $30. In my opinion even $30 is a waste of the money. DO NOT DO IT!!! The charges most likely do not end at the $30 and your credit card will continue to get charged.

Good luck to all of you that have already been caught in the scam. I hope you are all able to get your money back.

No place that is legit requires potential employees to pay them anything. Every place I’ve worked at has implemented ergonomic fits for keyboards, headsets, etc. for all employees as necessary!

THINK!! Have you ever sent in a resume with a check attached? Have you ever gone to an employment interview and slipped a $20 into the person’s hand as you shake it before sitting down?

I never even considered this as a true “workplace” or “strategy” as soon as the intro lasted more than two paragraphs with no mention of: position title, no salary, and above all no company name and location which could be researched.

Thanks iun advance! My poor auto dealership is getting tons of angry callers calling them regarding Tops and they are not at all associated with them.

If you are planning on joining, dont agree to pay the $97. Try to exit from the order screen and the price will reduce. Do it again at it will reduce to $29 (the lowest).
From the other reviews, it doesnt look like the greatest opportunity. But either way, dont get scammed into paying the full $97 if you are intersted

Like other reviewers, I read TOPS business proposal and thought it sounded like a great opportunity. I have recently relocated and have been looking for a job without much in the way of results. When I got toward the end, where you sign up, it say “Yes, Judy, give me access…”. Judy? This is from Amanda Stevens. Who is Judy? It sparked my skepticism, and I found this site. Thank you for clearing things up for me. Too good to be true, indeed! BTW is there somethig less than 1 star?

I’m so glad I read the postings. I just lost my job a couple of weeks ago and I was ready to sign up, but it seemed too easy. I always tell myself if making money is this easy how come everyone is not doing this. So I always go to the blogs outside of the company testimonials and see what the real people say. Thank you everyone for taking the time to give your opinions and experiences with the company.

I was almost ready to order the program until I found this site. Like Maria said, you shouldn’t have to pay money to work.

Did you know that when you get to the check out screen on the TOPS program and type something into your address bar and hit search you will be prompted by a deal and the price will go from $97 to $77. do it again and it will go down again. do it again and and again and you can get it for $29. Its not a bad thing to look into but don’t $30 sounds a hell of a lot better then $90

I am glad I called my friend who works with 7 top Attorneys and she immediately said to me it’s a scam! I was close to falling in their net, now I learned not to pay money for work. Thank God and good Friends advice.

I read through the web page and decided to purchase the program. I figured with the 90 day money back it should be safe to try. The $97.00 came out of my account immediately, but the e-mail never came…. I called the 888 number, sat on hold for 40 minutes before I got an answer, was promised it would be re-sent. STILL never got it. Then the “representative” called me from a private number. As I was on my way out the door to run errands, I told him it wasn’t a good time for me to go over everything with him. He sounded agitated and wanted to know “when can I call you back? Later today? No, Why not? Tomorrow? What Time???” Very aggressive manner. Then he never called back when he said he would. Soooooo, I called, waited on hold for another 40 minutes, and canceled my order.

That was a couple days ago, don’t know if the refund will go through yet…. keep my fingers crossed. Then today, while I was sitting at work, the “representative” called back. He became agitated. I told him I didn’t want to go over it (apparently they don’t communicate well) I explained I was at work. Said I didn’t want the walk through, he then proceeded to ask me why not, would not stop asking or accept my answer. I hung up on him. THEN he called me back 3 TIMES in a row. I finally answered again, he then informed me that I WAS BEING RUDE!!!! Asked me why I didn’t want to learn about the system I spent $97.00 on, and when I told him I had gotten a refund, he proceeded to get more irritated.

It goes on…… I explained not getting the e-mail, him not calling back etc… Then asked him to not call me back. He continued to argue for another minute or so. When I asked if he had a supervisor I could talk to he said “I AM THE SUPERVISOR!” I said again, I am not interested, I already called for the refund, please do not call my phone again. Then to end off my experience with them, he informed me ” I DON’T WANT TO CALL YOU!!!!!” (Well thank goodness!!! I think he’s finally got the point!!) NEVER in my life have I had someone representing a company act like that. I have never written a complaint about a company in my life, but this was indeed a different experience. I WOULD NOT suggest you try this…. Unless you want to be yelled at! :-)

I see why the rating is low for TOPS Home Profit System. After reading the information, I decided to pay my $97.00. After that I was forced to purchase a web address from Brain Host. They said it would be $6.95 for 24-months, they said that you would have to purchase the entire 24-month monitoring for $191.70. I did not see that coming!

As you see, my bill is up to almost $300. Therefore, I refuse to go any further because I am afraid I will be bankrupt by the time I get set-up to do the work from home program.

Is there a law against people who use deceptive techniques by not disclosing the real truth about their business? They are in such a big hurry to take money from your credit card that you do not have time to get to the end of their scam.

I will never do business with them. Even if they changed their name, I will still know them by their deceptive techniques.

Received Tops email today, scanned through it but didn’t read all the details but enough to decide what the heck and purchased the program with their promise of an email to download the necessary info to get started. After 4 hours no email only a receipt for my purchase of $97.00. Called my cc company only to find out Tops has charged me the $97.00 TWICE. I have to wait ’till tomorrow for the charges to post in order to file a dispute. I have been trying to access website from their original email link to me for past 4 hours and it is no longer there. Should have been the wiser to the old saying “if it’s too good to be true then it is.” BEWARE!
