About Wave Apps
Wave Apps, found online at WaveApps.com, is a company who says their goal is to design software and applications to help businesses of all sizes, but especially small businesses, meet all their operational needs.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, small businesses often have serious difficulty finding programs and software that meet their needs. Even companies that claim to create software specifically for small businesses create products that are actually better suited to meet the needs of medium sized businesses that have closer to one hundred employees than a truly small business who may have closer to ten employees.
Their website says that they have software that will work for companies that are running with nine employees or even less, making their software appropriate for freelancers, contractors, beginning entrepreneurs, and others that work in small groups.
The problem with a truly small company having to rely on software built for a larger company is that oftentimes it is too complicated for their needs to be really efficient and helpful in the way it should be, though their simple software can also be used by larger companies if they choose.
Currently their suite of software products includes apps and programs to help businesses with Accounting, Invoices, Invoice Mobile, Payments, Payroll, Personal, and Receipts.
To begin with, Wave does provide their customers with a completely free option that will include accounting and reports, the ability to create and send invoices, receipt scanning, personal finance, and email support.
When a company is ready to move on from the free program and move to some of the more specific programs, like those for payroll services, you’ll have to look at each individual program and how you will be using it in order to determine what it will cost you overall. That being said, most of the programs are available to be paid for on a month-to-month basis.
The Wave Apps website does not appear to provide any information on refunds, likely because they offer their customers a free program, as well as the ability to pay for most of their programs on a month-to-month basis without signing up for a long term contract.
However if something does occur that makes you believe you are justified for a refund you should contact their Customer Service team as soon as possible to have the issue addressed.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by email at [email protected] or by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
Most of the reviews of Wave Apps and their performance are from third party reviewers, like blogs, technology websites, or business solutions websites, and not many reviews appear to be from actual business owners that regularly use their apps for their company operations.
That being said, it appears that all the reviews are very positive about this company and what they have to offer, with most reviewers stating that their software is very well designed to meet all the needs of a small business and their free package can be extremely useful for many different kinds of small businesses.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many other types of accounting software available for businesses and personal use, including well-known options like QuickBooks, Xero Accounting Software, FreshBooks, Mint.com, and many others.

Started having withdraws from my checking account last night from WAVE in NY. They hit me for a total of $763 before my bank alerted me of "suspicious activity". I got all my money back but have to change bank cards and PIN #'S. I had never even heard of this place before and other reviews say it's just a venue for Nigerian criminals to steal your money and empty your bank account using this app. Should be outlawed and closed down
We run a dump truck business and love this program!! We have referred other friends to it as well!
I started using Waveapps a few months ago for a small home based business. The software itself was fine and fairly easy to learn but realized when had questions that email was the only way to communicate.
I recently sold some goods to a customer and sent an invoice via Wave Payments. Two days later after the goods were shipped, I received an email from Wave stating that they were reversing the credit card transaction because my products (home medical supplies) were prohibited goods.
Long story short the customer received over $1000 worth of product and I have not been paid. I have asked someone from Wave to call me and emailed several times but so far no response. All i got was a link to their 20 plus pages of terms and conditions.
Even if I missed the fine print that said I could not bill for medical supplies, It would have been helpful if they at least contacted me before cancelling the credit card transaction. I would have had a chance to stop the shipment or arrange alternative payment method before shipping. I am highly disappointed in their service.
