Wanderable, found online at Wanderable.com, is a free and customizable honeymoon registry service that says they want to help people “register for experiences, not things.”
How Does It Work?
According to their website, Wanderable wants to give their customers everything they need to create a beautiful and simple honeymoon registry that lets them discover, plan, and book their dream travel experiences.
After a couple chooses the location of their honeymoon, they will be able to begin listing honeymoon activities, experiences, and expenses on their registry, including transportation to their honeymoon, hotel costs, romantic dinners, spa activities, day trips, and anything else they would like to experience on their trip.
Your guests will be able to choose whichever honeymoon experiences they would like to contribute to and then either leave a personal note along with their gift or print out a matching gift card for the activity they have purchased.
Their website also allows for a single gift to be broken into multiple quantities of smaller payments. For example, if you want to register for an activity that costs $100, you can choose to break that activity into two different gifts of $50, giving your guests the most flexibility over what they are able to contribute to.
Finally their website says that they also allow their customers to add really anything to their registry that they believe will create new memories for their new life together, so customers don’t have to feel only boxed in by their immediate honeymoon.
Their website promises their customers that the registry is free to set up and any gifts that your guests choose to give in cash or check are 100% free of charge. All their registry designs and layouts are also completely free of charge.
They do, however, charge a 2.5% service to gifts as they are applied to your account. The website says that this is a transaction fee which is required for all card processing, and registry owners can choose to take responsibility for this fee instead of their guests. If you do choose this option, then your guests won’t even be aware that this fee is being applied.
Because of the nature of the gifts being sold by this website, there isn’t a way to provide a standard Refund Policy for their customers. However, the website does say that in certain circumstances they will be able to perform a refund for their customers.
They also say that if a guest disputes the charge for a Wanderable gift and the funds are still available for them to refund to the guest in question, they will refund the money along with a $30 fee.
