About Vudu.com

Vudu.com is the online home of Vudu, a live streaming video service backed by major retailer Wal-Mart, which promises users same day as DVD video releases all from the comfort of their own home.

How Does It Work?

Users can create an account on Vudu.com for free and begin streaming videos to the approved devices, which include the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Roku, Chromecast, smart TVs, iPad, and Android devices.

Users can either purchase movie downloads or rent them in one of three different quality formats, including SD, HD, and HDX. If you choose to rent a movie, you have 30 days to begin watching it, but after you begin watching it you only have 24 hours of unlimited viewings before you no longer have access to the download.

Cost/Price Plans

Movie rentals fall between $0.99 and $5.99, while purchases start at $4.99 and scale as high as $29.99. The price variations often depend on the movie itself, as well as whether you have chosen to rent it in SD, HD, or HDX quality. Finally, Vudu also offers a different $.99 rental option each day.

Mobile Options

Currently Vudu live streaming is only available on the iPad and Android mobile devices.

Refund Policy

Unfortunately, all charges and fees paid for content are non-refundable. You can, however, cancel your account at any time, though users should be aware that doing so means that while any cash balance loaded into your account will be refunded, Vudu credits are non-refundable and all content you have purchased from Vudu will be deleted and you will no longer have access to this content.

Customer Service Contact Info

Currently the only method for customers who would like to contact their Customer Service team with any questions, concerns, or complaints is to do so by email at [email protected] or by traditional mail at 600 W California Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.

Reputation

Vudu.com seems to have a good reputation throughout the live streaming industry, though there are users who prefer other live streaming suppliers generally because they are accessible through more mobile devices than Vudu currently is.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are many other websites online which promise to give users the ability to live stream video, including movies and TV shows, like Netflix, MovieLush.com, MGO.com, Redbox Instant, and more.
