About Vox.com

Vox.com is a new website created by the journalistic news team of Ezra Klein, Melissa Bell, and Matt Yglesias that focuses on "explanatory news," a new type of news story website frequently described as "a Wikipedia for news."

How Does It Work?

This website says it was established to fix a common problem with the news. This problem is that there are often some news stories that are so large and dense, that it is necessary to pay attention to the story right when it begins.

People who only become interested in learning about the story or issue later are often completely unable to find an article or source that will explain the story to them in its entirety, making it extremely difficult for them to get a well rounded or full understanding of the issue or story.

Vox.com tries to solve this problem by providing news story "cards," which arrange a timeline of stories, articles, and information from the beginning to the current state of the story.

Cost/Price Plans

This website is both completely free to use and free to submit ideas, information, or commentary. They do offer ad space to interested parties, and a link to discuss their policies and costs with a representative.

Refund Policy

Since this website does not sell any products or services, or charge visitors to have access to their news or information, they also do not have a published Refund Policy at this time.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who wish to contact their Customer Service team to discuss any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website or by email at [email protected]

The creators of this website are considered large, well established and often well respected names in the journalism field at this time, so for that reason many people are excited about what this site has to offer. There are others, however, that are very concerned about the opportunity for bias in the way they choose to present their stories.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are many different free news sources and news aggregates available all over the internet, but Vox.com says that they are trying to solve many of the issues created by these very same websites.

Dis Appointed

October18, 2018

I was exposed to one article by Dylan Matthews which turned my stomach...so i dug in a bit deeper.

If you like reading articles with an opinion that ALSO include both views, THIS IS NOT the site for you.

It took only a few articles to see these guys are never Trumpers that would rather destroy America than accept the fact that they lost the election. If I had to rate this site with 1 word, it would be "Disgusting".
