Tvidler Ear Wax Cleaner Reviews

Tvidler Ear Wax Cleaner
( 1 reviews )

Tvidler Ear Wax Cleaner is a patented earn cleaning device that the seller claims provides a safer and more effective method for ear wax removal than traditional options such as Q-tips.

The company goes one step further, in their sales pitch they point out that Q-tips should not be used for cleaning ears despite being the most popular option.

There are a variety of risks and dangers whenever you stick a foreign object in your ear canal.

Below we’ll take a closer look at Tvidler and other options for safely cleaning your ears.

How Does Tvidler Work?

The product consists of two parts, the handle and the replaceable spiral heads.  The company states that their device is made from ultra soft silicone that is supposedly safer to use in the ears.

They believe that the spiral design is capable of removing ear wax while allowing you to keep the tool at a safe distance from your ears' vital parts.

It should also prevent further damage by not forcing the ear wax deeper into the ear canal.

While this may be true, the bigger question is when and how should you even be cleaning your ears?

Benefits of Ear Wax

New research has found that ear wax serves many natural purposes and our ears have evolved with it for a reason.

  • Has antibacterial properties and can help stave of infections
  • Acts as a physical barrier protecting your ear canal from foreign objects
  • Natural lubricant that prevents dry and itchy skin in the ear

Further, when it comes to cleaning the ears do a fine job on their own.  The natural motion of your jaw pushes wax to the outside of your ear.  A basic hygiene practice of regular showers takes care of this.

If you do have excessive ear wax build up, doctors recommend softening the ear wax, irrigating the ear with warm water, and draining.

If you’re experiencing ear pain or loss of hearing you should see your physician for evaluation before attempting to remove any blockages yourself.

So while Tvidler’s advertising is correct in pointing out the dangers of using Q-tips for ear cleaning, for most people simply cleaning the outside of their ears with a warm washcloth is enough to maintain a balanced level of ear wax.

Cost and Price Plans

One Tvidler sells for 29.95 and includes six heads.  The more sets you purchase the cheaper your total cost gets.

Customer Service

If you have questions or issues you can reach a representative at their phone number +1 (205) 782-8606 or send them a message at get-tvidler.com/contact.

Tvidler comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, however there are some issues with this policy.

First off, to initiate your return you have to contact the company for an RMA number.  Once that is issued you must send back the items in unused condition in their original packaging.

You will have to pay for the shipping fees along with a 15% restocking fee and a $10 handling fee.

The company lists their address as:

UAB Ekomlita
305049890
Gedimino 45-7, Kaunas, Lithuania
LT100012239118

After all their fees and costs of shipping to a foreign country, it’s hard to imagine that any return would be worth the effort.

Online Customer Reviews & Complaints

While most of the online search results for Tvidler reviews are full of promotional affiliate sites advertising the product, if you dig hard enough you can find real reviews.

From these there are two major sources of complaints.  The first being that the product does not work. Angry customers state that the tool did not remove any wax from their ears.

The second main source of frustration is from customers who feel that they were deceived by the ordering process.  Many claimed they were only trying to order one Tvidler device and were upsold to the 4 pack option.

Further, they went on to say that even when notifying the company immediately after noticing this error, they were told that it’s too late for a refund as the items were already shipped.

Competitors and Alternatives

Tvidler is not the only brand advertising these silicone tipped ear wax removers.

Another company selling a virtually identical product is Q-Grips.  They also have the same awful reviews on this site and others.

Where to Buy?

While you can find similar products on Amazon the Tvidler branded option is only sold through their website.

The Bottom Line

Based on our research, we would not recommend this product for several reasons.

First off, there is medical evidence to suggest ear wax is beneficial and should not be removed.

Second, this company does not seem like a reliable retailer. They have many negative online reviews, accusations of incorrect order processing, and a deliberately prohibitive return policy.

That’s enough red flags to avoid this product.
