TruStage Life Insurance, found online at TruStage.com, is a nationwide insurance company that originally started with the purpose of offering high quality insurance to credit union members, but they have since expanded their offerings. 

How Does It Work?

When TruStage Insurance was initially founded by their parent company CMFG Life Insurance, their goal was to provide high quality insurance options to people who belonged to approved credit unions throughout the country. 

However, the website says that just like today’s credit unions, which are open to anyone to join, they have decided to go ahead and open up their own enrollment to anyone who wants their services. 

Currently TruStage Insurance offers their customers Auto Insurance, Health Insurance, and Life Insurance which includes Whole Life, Term Life, and Children's Whole Life, as well as a comparative feature which helps people interested in life insurance determine what kind is the best for their personal circumstances.

Cost/Price Plans

Using their website for information and for receiving a quote is completely free of charge.

Customers who are interested in information about monthly rates for specific plans can use the “Get a Quote” feature and fill out the necessary information they need to see how much a plan they are interested in will cost them. 

These rates are not set in stone, however, until you officially fill out an entire application and have it reviewed by TruStage Insurance for a final quote.    

Refund Policy

Unfortunately insurance companies do not generally provide “refunds,” as this is a monthly subscription based service.

Some companies may allow their customers a period in which they can cancel their services without incurring any financial penalty and with the ability to receive a refund of their first initial month’s premium. 

Though TruStage does not lay out all the details of their particular policy, they do indicate that brand new TruStage Insurance members will have 30 days in which to cancel their new policy and receive a refund of their initial premium, no questions asked.

Reputation

Unfortunately there are not very many reviews of this company available at this time, likely because they operated within such a niche area for so long, when they were only providing insurance to members of credit unions. 

And though most of the reviews of this company that can be found tend to be positive in nature, it is important to note that all insurance companies suffer from mixed reviews, because different customers will have different needs, circumstances, and experiences. 

Customers who are curious about a specific policy should look for reviews or experiences of that specific policy, as that will offer more beneficial information than general reviews will.

There are many, many different insurance companies operating in the United States today, and even more if you are willing to look at niche insurance providers in addition to large scale providers that offer many different types of insurance the way TruStage Insurance does.

The above statement you make.is absurd

You are NOT communicating any specifics. This LETTER has been PROMISED me for over a month. You are violating my rights to the application of my payment and the details of the suppose loan and it's payoff.

Scam Artists, stay away hard to cancel

Scam, so difficult to even cancel, have to jump through may hoops, fax signatures, then they still charge afterwards. almost 40 bux a month for only 2000 life insurance... SCAM alert, they pray on elderly people

i have had the policy for a few yrs i found it to be a good option for me being how i was turned down for term life it has a decent cash value and you can cash it out early if you have as long as there is a cash value accrued i am hoping to outlive the policy but who knows

sign up for policy was getting it in the mail 3 to 5 days normal no problem

but before even getting policy phone calls started to upgrade WOW don't like that no sence sorry
