TripIt.com is a company that provides their customers with a mobile application designed to help you with all your travel itinerary and document needs, especially while they are on the go.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, “you handle the booking, we take care of the rest.” TripIt.com allows you to make all your reservations and booking arrangements on your own, and then have all itineraries and all confirmations forwarded to your TripIt account, including those from hotels, flights, car rentals, and restaurants.
These emails will then be automatically transformed into a master itinerary for your entire trip so that you can easily find all the documentation and other information you need whenever you need it.
You will even be able to access these documents and plans when your device isn’t receive internet access – everything will be equally available offline. And if you use a Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook account, you can set up automatic forwarding with no need to do anything manually.
Currently their free downloadable mobile application is available on both iOS and Android devices.
There are two separate TripIt packages available. The first is the standard TripIt, which is free of charge and includes the ability to organize travel plans in one place, smartphone and tablet access, to add or edit plans, to sync travel plans with your calendar, to share travel plans, and to store all travel documents in a single place.
The second plan is the TripIt Pro, which is priced at $49.08 per year, and includes all the features of the free package as well as the ability to receive real time flight alerts, locate alternate flights, be alerted when a better seat is available, get fare refund notifications, track reward program points, save money with VIP travel benefits, and more.
TripIt does not appear to offer a Refund Policy, likely because they offer a complete package that is entirely free of charge and offers nearly half of their available features and because their paid package comes with a 30 day free trial, giving people enough time to try out the full features for free before they commit to a full year’s membership.
