About Trip Tribe
Trip Tribe, found online at TripTribe.com, is a new travel arrangement website which promises people “more wellness retreats with people like you” than you will find at any other travel site.
How Does It Work?
Trip Tribe says that they want to give people a way to “travel how you live,” saying that they bring together top instructors, incredible destinations, and the personalization services of a website to provide you with a selection of trips which are best suited to you and your needs.
When you become a member of their website, you’ll be asked to fill out a profile with personal information, like your age, relationship status, and gender. You will also be asked about the interests and activities you like to pursue when on vacation, like boating, cycling, hiking, food & wine, sustainable, snow sports, nightlife, and much more.
Once your profile is completed, it will be used to match you with other travelers who are interested in the same types of trips as you, as well as to suggest to you trips you will be interested in that are coming up in their schedule.
Their trips include those that are just for the weekend, as well as two week journeys across nearly every continent. You can choose to travel alone, or with a group of people that you already know; it’s up to you!
Obviously the cost of each trip will be dependent on a large variety of factors, like when you are traveling, how far you are going, the type of activities that are included, and more. In order to understand what the cost of the trip includes, simply look at the “What’s Included” section of the trip – it is important to keep in mind that air travel is not included unless otherwise stated on their website.
At the time you book your trip, you are only responsible for a placing a deposit. The entire amount of the trip is due 60 days before you leave for your trip.
The ability to get a refund is entirely dependent on when you are able to successfully cancel your reservation. In general, the only way to receive a full refund of both your deposit and your any money you have paid toward your trip is to cancel at least six months in advance of the date of your trip.
The website provides a chart of how much you will receive back depending on when you cancel, but it does appear that if you cancel within 60 days of your trip, no money that you have paid will be refundable at that time.

While there are not many available reviews at this time from travelers who have actually gone on a Trip Tribe vacation, there are reviews from third party sources about the potential this company offers.
One of the features that people are most enthusiastic about is not just that Trip Tribe will match you with other travelers that have similar profiles to your own for a fun trip with new people, but that their website allows members to actually interact before the trip, so you get a sense of whether or not you will reasonably enjoy the upcoming trip and your prospective company.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different travel websites out there that allow you to choose trips based on a variety of factors, including Go Ahead Tours, Gogobot, WeTravel.to, and many others. However, Trip Tribe may be unique in that it organizes trips with strangers that have similar profiles to yours.
If you have any experience with this company or their products, please leave your Trip Tribe reviews below.
2 ‘Trip Tribe’ Reviews
- constant errors on their page
- no phone number
- slow email reply
- not complete information for hosts
- no communication
- constant mixing up of my retreat with another person's retreat
What a waste of my time! First off, there is never anyone to answer your calls. The phone number is clearly just a voicemail that someone checks periodically. God forbid you're on a trip and something goes wrong and you need to speak with someone and they don't get back to you until the end of your trip.
Luckily, my experience with Trip Tribe was before I actually made any commitments. Their customer service in less than mediocre and their ability to maintain any standard of communication is even worse.
Make sure you shop around. They may be one of the first to pop up but I can almost guarantee that you will find others that are much more professional to work with.
