About Tria Beauty

Tria Beauty, found online at, is a company that says they provide people with revolutionary light based skincare products which “bring professional technology out of the doctor’s clinic and into your home.”

How Does It Work?

According to their website, many of the treatments and products people have for at home hair removal, anti-aging skincare, or acne treatments are not only minimally effective but also potentially harsh to your skin over the long term. Light based skincare, on the other hand, is designed to be both a safe and effective form of treatment that causes reactions below the skin’s surface for the best possible results.

Currently Tria Beauty offers three different light based devices, including one for hair removal, one for anti-aging, and one for acne treatment. All three of their devices are described as using the same technology that dermatologist use in their offices, but with the necessary adaptations to safely use it in your home.

Tria Beauty promises that their devices can provide users with professional grade results, but with the convenience and affordability that comes with doing it yourself, in the comfort of your own home.

Is It Safe?

Intense pulsed light has actually been well researched over the years and proven to be effective for a variety of cosmetic and medical conditions, including the uses Tria Beauty intends their products for, like hair removal, anti-aging, and acne treatment.

But in order for these light based products to be both safe and effective, it is incredibly important for customers to use them according to the instructions which have been provided. Unfortunately customers who have used these products in ways they weren’t intended, or with an intensity that was too high, too quickly in the process have hurt themselves.

In addition, IPL based hair removal devices are not always appropriate for men and women with darker skin tones, as it targets melanin to kill the hair follicle, and darker skin with higher levels of melanin are more likely to absorb the light, resulting in burns or skin discoloration.

There are at home IPL hair removal devices which are approved for darker skin tones, but customers will need to contact their Customer Service team directly to see if the Tria Beauty hair removal device is appropriate for them.

Cost/Price Plans

The prices for the individual light based Tria Beauty devices for sale on their website at this time include $449 for their Hair Removal Laser 4x device, $495 for their Age-Defying Laser, and $299 for the Acne Clearing Blue Light.

These devices are also available in Deluxe Kits, which include the laser device and additional products designed for users to have the best possible results, but these Deluxe Kits are generally $25 to $75 more than simply purchasing the device itself, and at this time, all standard shipping is free within the United States and other pre-approved areas.

Refund Policy

Tria Beauty actually provides a 90 Day Money Back Guarantee from the date of purchase, as long as the device was purchased directly from their website. In order to request your refund, you must contact their Customer Service team by phone or email and follow their return instructions to successfully collect your refund, minus all Shipping and Handling charges. Products which are returned to them without a return authorization number and according to return instructions will be shipped back to the owner, and a refund will not be issued.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 877-321-8742 and by email at [email protected]

All Tria products seem to have mixed reviews, mostly due to the fact that there is a disparity in the effects that users see with at home use of these products.

This is not uncommon, as light based devices are often more effective with certain skin types, certain skin colors, hair colors, and strength and frequency of treatment, which is why these products are most effective when used in the office by a medical professional.

One complaint that was repeated frequently, was that customers that were having issues with their device had difficulty getting in touch with Customer Service and getting the assistance they needed. This is a problem, as having helpful feedback from an informed Customer Service could potentially go a long toward helping people have better experiences and results with these products.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are other products available for intense pulsed light therapy at home which offers hair removal or anti aging benefits, including EvoDermaMe Smooth Laser Hair Removal,, IlluMask, LightStim, and many others.
