Thinoptics, found online at Thinoptics.com, is a new brand and type of reading glasses that wants to not only be some of the most comfortable but also the most convenient reading glasses on the market.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, the creators of Thinoptics said that they were surprised that billions of dollars were spent every year to create more beautiful and effective screens for smartphones and computers, but important everyday items like reading glasses essentially haven’t changed since they were invented in the 13th century.
When they set out to re-design reading glasses, they realized that one of the biggest problems with this product was how easy it was to lose them. They wanted to make sure they made effective reading glasses that could also be easily carried with them wherever they went.
To do this, they developed thin, comfortable reading glasses that can actually fit on the back of your phone or into a moderately sized keychain case, because keys and phones are something that we always take with us.
To make their glasses as portable as they needed to be, they removed the ear pieces and designed their glasses to sit on the nose comfortably because they use a highly elastic bridge and grip sensitive paper on the nose pad.
These glasses are available in four different strengths at this time. Low Range strength is +1.00, which they describe as being good for +0.75 to +1.25, their Low-Mid Range is +1.50 and is good for +1.25 to +1.75, and their Mid Range is +2.00, which is good for +1.75 to +2.25. Finally, their High Range is +2.50, which is good for +2.25 and +2.75.
This product line is actually available from many different brick-and-mortar retailers like Bed Bath & Beyond, Safeway, Target, as well as at other online retailers like Amazon.com, and many others.
If you do order directly from their website, they provide customers with a variety of options. Their Universal Pod with two sets of glasses is priced at $19.95, while their Keychain Case with two sets of glasses is priced at $24.95. Customers can also purchase their Phone Case with two sets of glasses for $29.95.
Their website does not provide a fully detailed Return Policy at this time, but they do say that any customer who is unhappy with the fit of these glasses are welcome to return them within the first 30 days of purchase. Concerned customers may want to speak to their Customer Service team before submitting their purchase to get the full details of the policy.
In addition, this company does offer their customers a Lifetime Guarantee for their product, saying that if you ever experience a defect during the lifetime of the product they will send you a replacement. You will need to register your product at the time of purchase to be able to take advantage of this Guarantee, however.
