The Fussy Librarian Reviews

The Fussy Librarian, found online at TheFussyLibrarian.com, is a new service which sends their members daily emails listing limited time free and discounted eBooks that match your personal literary interests.

While there are a few other websites that provide this same service, The Fussy Librarian is unique in that it lets you select the most specific criteria for the types of books you read, going beyond basic genre categories all the way to what type of level of profanity and violence you feel comfortable with.

How Does It Work?

As a free service, all you have to do to get started is submit your email address to their website and then fill out a short questionnaire regarding your literary interests, so they know what types of book deals to send you.

These questions determine whether you want to be alerted to all available books of a certain category, or just a specific subset. In addition you are allowed what levels of profanity, violence, and sexual content you are most comfortable with in your books.

Cost/Price Plans

The service says that it is completely free; the deals they send you seem to be all either free or extremely discounted so as to be only a few dollars.

Mobile Options

The Fussy Librarian sends updates regarding deals that are available to users of the Kindle, Nook, Android iOs, iPad, and Smashwords.

Refund Policy

Since The Fussy Librarian service is free there is no need for a refund policy. Customers who are interested in possible refunds for the book purchases they make will need to review the policies of the provider they are purchasing from.

Customer Service Contact Info

There is currently no published phone number or mailing address, but customers with questions or complaints can submit their questions directly to the website through their "Contact Us" link.

Reputation

The Fussy Librarian is probably the newest of the eBook alert services, and is not as well known, but it is currently the only service that takes into account the type of tone and content you are interested in reading, beyond basic genre categories.

Is It Safe?

There do not seem to be any complaints about this product regarding safety.

Competitors and Alternatives?

The Fussy Librarian is one of the newest eBook alert services, which also include older and potentially more well known companies like BookBub.com and BookGorilla

Excellent service, good price for the amount of sales.

I've been using Fussy Librarian for over a year to promote sales of my Perma Free book, Polar Bear Dawn. When I first started with them several years ago they were only 12.00 now they've increased to $35.00 which is okay as they really upped their readership. Every time I promo with them I get over 450 to 500 downloads of my free book which always pays for itself in the sales of the rest of my series. What I like about them, is they are fussy, they only accept books that have a certain amount of 5-star reviews on Amazon which weeds out some of the trashy novels people are trying to promote.
