Tentrr.com is the online home of Tentrr, a company who says that they have redefined camping by providing people with the ability to camp on some of the country’s most beautiful pieces of privately owned land.
How Does It Work?
As most people know, the majority of official campsites in the country are areas where people are given a specific parcel of land on which to camp, often very near to other campers or outdoor activities. There are also places that allow campers the opportunity to hike in and choose their own campgrounds, but these areas are generally intended for experienced campers that own a large selection of equipment and are very familiar with all the different skills required for backcountry camping.
Tentrr was created in order to take the hassle out of backcountry style camping while still giving people the special outdoors camping experience that is difficult to find on large scale public campgrounds. To do this they partnered with private landowners who were willing to rent out their beautiful lands to campers who maybe weren’t the most experienced.
To provide the best possible experience for campers, Tentrr actually provides a fully equipped campsite on the private land that is rented, which includes a wooden tent deck, a 10’x12’ canvas wall tent with an inflatable queen-sized camp cot, two Adirondack chairs, fire pit, campfire grill, and much more to provide people with everything they need to provide for themselves during the time they are camping.
Currently this service is only available in the state of New York because it is so new and still getting started, but they are currently expanding throughout the New England area and the mid-Atlantic states. Customers who are interested in more information can sign up for their newsletter to know when their expansion areas are available.
At this time, CampKeepers – the landowners – are responsible for setting the nightly rate they expect campers to pay for their campsites. Some CampKeepers will also offer their campers special Add-Ons which will be exclusive only to their lands and campsite and which can be selected by the campers and added to the overall reservation cost.
The website says that any confirmed reservation may be cancelled prior to 72 hours before your official check-in time without penalty. Any customers who cancels less than 72 hours before their check-in time will only be eligible for 50% of the total cost.

Wasted 15 minutes of my time before I figured out that the reason I could not find a way to search other locations is because this service is only implemented for New York state at this time. Even if that is what I wanted, the screen objects bleed into each other and generally don't work right yet on this website. Tentrr, you launched your advertising waaay too soon on this. All you did was tick me off.
