About Taxify

The Taxify app, found online at, is a new mobile application who says that their goal is to make booking taxis without a phone call easy and convenient.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, Taxify is a company that wanted to provide local riders with local taxi drivers and private drivers in countries all around the world. To do this, they created a mobile application that riders can download in order to find the closest registered Taxify driver with just one click of a button.

All you do is submit your current address, confirm your location, and request your ride. The app will allow you to watch your taxi while it is approaching and notifies you when it has arrived. After your ride is complete, riders will be given the option to rate their drivers for a better customer experience.

All Taxify drivers have to pass a training course and have all their documents checked by their staff before they will become an official Taxify driver. Drivers that consistently receive bad feedback from the riders will eventually be removed from their system.

Because this company works with both private rideshare drivers and with actual taxi companies their website says that there is no need to pre-book a ride through their mobile; whenever you request a ride, one of their drivers should be nearby.

Mobile Options

Currently their website says that they provide their customers with the ability to download and use their app on iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.

Cost/Price Plans

To download and use the app to book a ride is completely free of charge. The cost of the ride itself will depend entirely on the number of passengers, the length of the route, the city and country of operation, and other important factors.

When it comes the amount of money their drivers make from participating on the Taxify app, their website says that on average they take a 15% commission from each delivered ride, though they say that their Driver Manager in each available city will provide more accurate pricing details.

Refund Policy

This company does not appear to have any kind of a traditional or standard Refund Policy published for their customers at this time, but any customer who believes that they have encountered circumstances that justify a refund should contact their Customer Service team as soon as possible to get the assistance they need to address their problem.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by going to their website and finding the specific contact information for their city of residence, or customers can use their website’s Live Chat feature whenever it is available.

Since this company actually operates a little differently in each city and country where they operate, customers will be best served by looking at the reviews of this service in their local area as this will provide the most accurate information.

Competitors and Alternatives?

Customers who are looking for alternatives to Taxify will be limited by their country and even state of residence, but popular alternative options include Uber, Lyft, GoCurb, EasyTaxi, and many others.

Taxify service in Poland, outrageous scam

January6, 2019

I ordered a ride through the Taxify app on the 1st of January. The app showed a price of 26 zloty (about 6 Euros) and the ride was ordered from the Central Railway Station in the city center of Poznan to my house (exactly 14 km). As we arrived I asked the driver whether I can pay in cash, which he assured me that I can. He told me that the price is 90 zloty (21 Euros) for the ride, because it is New Year’s Eve and that there is a multiplier of x4, and that if I pay him the ride will have been paid-for. I paid him and left the cab. 1 hour later I receive a message from Taxify telling me to charge my card and pay them an additional 201 zloty (almost 47 Euros). I texted Taxify through their app but they do not seem very eager to help in solving the issue. I received an answer that “they cannot help more apart from passing my message forward to the driver”, even though the driver admitted to the person from support that I have paid him, lying that it was a “tip”.

They also refused to give away the driver’s contact information due to their policy. What is more, according to Taxify, the trip happened from the city center to my house AND BACK to the city center, so 28 km together, which is false as I left the car at my house. The driver deliberately did not end the trip at my house and continued to drive all the way back to the city center.

Taxify is clearly approving the driver’s thievery and cannot even disclose his contact information, which leaves the case at a dead end.

I also want to point out that the Taxify app gave absolutely no information about the x4 multiplier during the new year’s eve, and are now demanding that I pay another 47 Euros after having already paid the driver. It was also my first ride so, according to Taxify, I had a 50% discount on my first 10 rides.

I just want to say - do not leave your credit card information with this company, they function like a legal mafia. You will be scammed and will not even know what you paid for, when the money was deducted from your account nor for what reason.
Good luck finding a fair and transparent taxi company for your journeys!
