All you have to do is download their mobile application and use the app to take pictures of the items you would like to ship – no boxes or packaging materials required. Then enter the destinations for all the items you would like to ship and wait for your Shyp Hero to arrive, usually within 20 minutes of your upload.
Once your Hero arrives, they will pick up your items, pack them appropriately, and then send them anywhere in the world you want them to go using the lowest cost, most reliable option. It is important to note that items that are illegal to ship or that have restricted shipping options cannot be sent through this service, including but not limited to alcoholic beverages, firearms, hazardous materials, and tobacco products.
While the website only mentions an iPhone app directly, it appears that this company also offers an application for Android devices as well. If this service continues to grow and expand, it is likely that their mobile offerings will as well.
This service does not charge customers membership fees, but rather charges a single $5 on top of the costs of actually shipping your items themselves. Shyp’s entire business model rests on the promise that they will find you the lowest priced, reliable shipping method available for your packages.
