Shweebo.com is the online home of Shweebo, a package forwarding service that says their goal is to provide international customers with a way of purchasing products from US retailers and having them forwarded to their home country.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, many ex-patriots who now live overseas miss being able to purchase products from their favorite domestic retailers because those retailers don’t ship to international addresses, and many people who are from other countries miss out on many high quality products or goods because of their international address.
Shweebo wants to solve this problem by acting as a package forwarding service. In order to use their services, you simply need to create a Shweebo account and you will be provided with a US address that you will use whenever you shop online.
Whenever you purchase something from a domestic retailer, your purchases will be shipped to this address, and from here, forwarded to your own address in your own home country, wherever that country is, as long as it is legally allowed according to US law. If you are unsure if your country falls within these legal limits, their website provides a full list of countries.
Currently this service offers three different packages. The first is their standard Shweebo package, which is completely free of charge and provides you with $100 of service, 11 days of package storage, door-to-door tracking, and charges $10 per outbound package that will be forwarded to your international address.
Their second package is the Shweebo+ package, which is a $20 one-time fee and includes all the features of the regular Schweebo package plus 30 day package storage, package consolidation, images of merchant invoices, and a $5 charge per outbound package.
Finally, they have a ShweeboBiz package, which is priced at a $60 one-time fee and includes all the features of the Shweebo+ package plus 45 days of package storage and no fees when you forward a package to your international address.
This website does not provide any information regarding refunds on the cost of their memberships, if applicable, though they do have some policies in place which cover damage during shipping and other similar issues.
If you receive a product that you would like to return, you must deal directly with the retailer from which you purchased your order. If you need the assistance of Shweebo to process the return shipping of your order, they will assist you, but ultimately that shipping will need to take place at your own expense.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
Unfortunately there are very few reviews available about this company from international customers who have actually used their services, which makes it difficult for new and prospective customers to evaluate them.
That being said, their services and their pricing seems very straightforward, they do have some policies in place for protection of damaged packages, and they provide a free option which allows people to try this service for themselves before they commit to a paid package.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different international shipping companies in operation within the United States, but this may be one of the only ones which automatically arranges for domestic packages to be shipped to international addresses without additional steps or arrangements.
