About Ritual Vitamins
Ritual.com is the online home of Ritual Vitamins, a new brand of multivitamins “created by skeptics, for skeptics” and which says that they created a woman’s vitamin formula that uses only the essentials.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, Ritual Vitamins was sick of the pseudoscience and half-truths that were associated with the multivitamin and supplement industry, so they decided to formulate a vitamin formula that was “Essential for Women” and didn’t waste time with the ingredients that weren’t.
To do this, they worked with a team of doctors to choose the nine nutrients Ritual deems most essential to the average female diet. They also used research and clinical trials to make their decisions on the specific dosages of each vitamin and mineral, so that their formula is ideal for women aged between 18 and 50.
And they didn’t stop with just identifying the important ingredients; they also wanted to work with companies that cared about their supply chain because they wanted to give their customers true transparency.
Customers simply need to take two of these vitamins together, either morning or night, and they promise that their vegan delayed-release formula is designed to bypass the stomach for maximum absorption without nausea, which means you can take them with or without food.
Ingredients and Side Effects
As mentioned above, this company says that their vitamin only includes the nine most essential vitamins and minerals that women need to be healthy and have trouble getting in their diet, including Vitamin K2, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Magnesium, Folate, Omega-3, Boron, and Iron.
Currently the only way in which to purchase this product is subscribe to their monthly delivery service, which says that a monthly supply of 60 capsules will be priced at $30.00. Customers are welcome to cancel their subscription whenever they choose and are also able to pause the subscription if they need to.
This company appears to have a complicated approach to refunds. Their website continually uses phrases like “happiness guaranteed, or your money back,” but their website does not actually publish a Refund Policy anywhere. In fact, in their Terms and Conditions, the only reference they make to refunds is when they say “If you would like to receive a refund for any reason, please contact us at [email protected] Refunds will be issued by us in our sole discretion.”
It may be true that the company’s general belief is to provide new customers who are unhappy with their product a refund, but since their website doesn’t actually have an established policy then customers cannot entirely rely on that and should be prepared for the eventuality that they may not be given a refund when they request one.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
There does appear to be a lot of people who appreciate Ritual Vitamins’ minimal approach to their product and its formulation, as well as their convenient subscription service, but some reviewers have pointed out that there are some questions that could be asked of this company and their product.
For example, some reviewers have questioned why this company believes that Vitamin K is one of the most important ingredients for a woman’s vitamin while also deciding that Calcium isn’t. And of course Ritual Vitamins has the same criticisms as any other vitamin, in that the supplement industry simply isn’t regulated by any overseeing body and therefore it is difficult to know how effective this vitamin actually is.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different brands of multi-vitamins, including those that are formulated especially for women and those that promise high quality ingredients, no fillers, and streamlined formulas. Customers who are looking for alternatives to Ritual Vitamins will have many different options which can work to fit their specific needs and/or budget.
