Puppo Dog Food Reviews
About Puppo Dog Food
If you have a dog, you want him to be healthy. There is nothing more upsetting or challenging than when your pet’s health is out of whack. Puppo is a dog food company that seeks to make nutrition a more personalized and customizable experience, offering dog food that meets your dog’s specific needs.
Product and Ingredients
Puppo dog food was founded by a team of veterinarians and research scientists who have extensive experience in developing nutritional pet food that supports animal health and wellness. This company offers specialized nutrition that works in a few simple steps.
To start, you must first pick a photo for your pet, which is then featured on your pet’s bag - you don’t have to worry about receiving someone else's by mistake. Then, you answer a few questions so that Puppo can build the ideal blend of ingredients, minerals, vitamins, and supplements for your dog.
The food is made with real meat and whole grains, so you don’t have to worry about any dangerous or unpleasant fillers. There is no wheat, corn, or soy protein, and you don’t have to worry about by-product meal, preservative,s colors, or flavors, either.
The company even has a smart delivery system so that it can be fine-tuned to meet your dog’s personal eating habits. You don’t have to worry about running out or bags piling up because you are overstocked. It’s a smart, convenient delivery system that works for your dog instead of against him.
Cost and Price Plans
Because each Puppo nutrition plan is customized, it can be tough to determine the exact feeding price for your pet. On average, a twenty-pound dog can consume a Puppo diet for about $1.35 a day, with larger or hungrier dogs costing a bit more. When you sign up, there’s no commitment - meaning you can cancel whenever you’d like. You don’t have to commit to a long-term subscription in order to purchase Puppo.
Puppo offers expert nutrition advice with professionals on call to help you and your pet get the most out of Puppo. You can always chat with a team of pet nutrition experts and receive information about changes or interactions with your dog’ lifestyle, taste preferences, and health.
The company is easy to get ahold of, with active social media pages on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. They have a mailing address and email advertised on their website, which allows more transparency and better customer service.
Puppo has excellent reviews from satisfied customers. They like that the plans are customized to fit their dog’s individual needs, from dental issues to heart conditions. The foods are inexpensive and made with real ingredients, making them an awesome alternative to other mass-marketed dog foods.
Even better, since the foods are delivered directly to your doorstep, you never have to worry about running out. Everything is taken care of for you.
Competitors and Alternatives
Puppo is not the first dog food company to specialize in dog-specific nutrition. There are countless other meal plan services that use whole foods and supplements to address a wide variety of canine issues.
Just Customs is one of the most customizable, creating feeding plans to address both canine and feline health issues like digestive problems, obesity, liver disease, and more. The company offers free consultations and charges a $250 formulation fee to help create a diet for your specific pet.
JustRight is another dog food service that makes canine nutrition easy and seamless. To work with JustRight, you must provide information about your dog's needs, after which the company will provide you with a personalized nutrition plan and food and feeding instructions delivered right to your doorstep.Made by Purina, a well-respected name in the dog food industry, this product is a favorite alternative to Puppo.
The Farmer’s Dog is an interesting dog food company in that they test their products on humans before giving them to dogs. All of their ingredients are natural and have minimal processing, and are delivered personalized and ready to serve. This company is a great option if you are looking for more natural foods, but it can be pricey - the most inexpensive plan is still around $3 per day.
Finally, Ollie hails itself as a “new breed of dog food,” working to reformulate your dog’s diet so that it more adequately meets his dietary needs. They have a handy tool on their website that allows you to customize your dog’s diet based on his health, activity levels, and other conditions. Ollie offers a free trial, making it an attractive alternative to other dog food companies.
Where to Buy?
Right now, you can only purchase Puppo from the manufacturer’s website. This will likely stay the same in the future, as you need to plug in your dog’s information in order to get a personalized bag for your dog. Other retailers likely won’t be able to keep up, as Puppo offers specially formulated foods for your dog’s specific needs.
Is Puppo Worth It?
If you are hoping to provide your dog with a more personalized, adaptable diet, Puppo is definitely the way to go. It takes the guesswork out of canine nutrition and makes it easy and affordable to provide your dog with the diet he needs. You don’t have to worry about feeding him an imbalanced diet or about providing him with ingredients he doesn’t need (like fillers or artificial flavors). Puppo makes feeding your dog a natural, wholesome diet easy - and affordable.
2 ‘Puppo Dog Food’ Reviews
We were looking for a new dog food because my dog stopped eating. We knew he had been picky in the past and have changed before. We found Puppo and after some research decided to give it a try. We were impressed with the variety of ways you could customize, we were even able to get my dog Lamb, his favorite protein. We also loved all the health benefits we could add, we added weight control for our chubby boy. He's loved it! We love how easy it is to change your formula if necessary and both of our dogs now eat Puppo!
You answer some questions about your dog, Age, breed, weight, allergies, likes, dislikes, needs, etc. They tailor the food to match what you need. They show you what they think is best, and you can go back and change it, or place your order. The price is comparable to other top brand dry foods. You get several resealable 5lb bags with your dogs picture and their "secret recipe". I had a grain free large breed puppy recipe with Turkey and Duck. I did end up cancelling, which was easy. All in all, the service was great, the food was great, and the price was fair.
