Useless report, tried to charge extra $
I ran a search on my own name and unfortunately fell for the publicrecords.info scam as the site showed the state logo, fooling me to think it's actually the legit state public record site.
It said to pay $1 for the report and that should have been it. The report provided was full of errors, and their can responses was "We pull information from multiple databases, regularly updating our site. We don't alter reports, making it challenging to comment on specific details."
Today (3 days after) they tried to charge $28.95 to my credit card and fortunately my credit card company flagged it as fraud and declined the charge.
Scam- would give 0 score if I could
I needed to get my divorce date and I thought I was using the county website. It was only $1 so I completed the transaction. Then noticed a $28.95 charge on my account. They even sent a text to see if I was satisfied with my purchase. When I told them the report they sent was not the one I requested this is what I got. When I asked for my $$ back they stopped responding.

BEWARE-MAJOR SCAM
Why aren't these guys from ALABAMA in jail. TOTAL SCAM. Claim to charge you $1 and they charge you $23.95 recurring and they PROVIDE ZERO information. BEWARE. This is a sophisticated scam operation.
They even have a guy in Customer Service who I called to find out what the original site where I was to be charged was located. He claimed to tell me but there was no sound. When he asked me if there way anything else he could do, I said that he had not yet given me what I asked for. His response? "Well, you must not have been listening" and then hung up. STAY AWAY. SCAMMERS ALL.

Started out on 1 site. www.publicrecords.info
Paid $1 for 1 marriage license report. Waited for awhile, window pops up, pay one dollar with card, no where did I sign up for any package that cost $23.95, another window pops up, "Report ready, click here!" They sent a report on some unknown persons car.
I clicked on the link that says, "Contact Us."
Well, I lost the report and was connected to:
I ask what kind of business were they running?
Then I get a message thanking me for joining. I didn't join anything. I sent another message and said, "I paid $1 for 1 record and I didn't get what I thought that I had paid for."
Now I have received 6-7 messages stating:
I was sent this message twice.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate you recently contacted publicrecords.info to cancel your service.
As per your request, your service has been canceled as of 07/16/2022. There will be no further charges applied to your account.

I never signed up for any account. I never even received a receipt for the $1 charge to my card. Nor did I receive any email stating that I signed up for an account at $23.95 a month for 23 months.

Fraud and Scam Operation
A scam and fraud operation. I paid $1 for a service, signed up for nothing else, and $24.95 charge appeared two weeks later on my credit card. Reported this company to my credit card operator who is investigating them for fraud.
Judging from the number of similar complaints, DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS COMPANY.

Crooks,CROOKS, Thieves!!! They said it was $1.00 for the information I wanted. I put in my credit card and then that wanted a lot of personal information -- I got out immediately, just as fast my credit card was charged $49.99. Capital One didn't even have a phone number for them.
My rating would not be even one it would be 5 years in federal prison.

Records.us.org is pretending to be peoplerecords.net which is a Real Company
Boy this company is good in a very bad way.
1) they lie
2) when they bill they use a completely different website. https://records.us.org/ but bill on credit card under peoplerecords.net
3)Their verbiage contradicts itself, very confusing. First don't worry they won't charge you $40 like everyone else, then on the same day they charge for the $1/ they pop you for $24.99

I requested a report, searching for the death of a child in 1935. I put in my card info and Thought I was getting a $1 charge, today there was a $24.95 charge on my card.
The report wouldn’t open, and the support phone numbers didn’t work either.
How do I get a hold of Public Records.org? I need to cancel this so called membership I didn’t know I was signing up for?
Try going to records.us.org they billed under peoplerecords.net I found them by going back in my history file on internet, when I visited their website in the beginning. They are a huge scam company that I am now screaming online.
Charges that aren't mine started showing up within 2 days.

I wanted merely to find a death record and chose this site because they advertise as "free" Then it went to one dollar , but after they get your financial information, they charge you $18..95 and you don't know it.. When questioned, they tell you that's what you signed up for.
I never signed up for anything and I was furious because I live on a very small income..I insisted they return the money to my acct which they did, but I would not recommend this Co to anyone..

Publicrecords.us.org is a scam of an operation, with several ways, noted so far, how to rip you off:
1. Bait and switch offer in amount charged. Was charged a monthly $18.95 subscription for a year in lieu of a one-time $1 per record fee which I thought I was signed up for.
2. All I agreed to was a birth/ death certificate not a comprehensive background check tool and not a subscription.
3. A few days later The credit card used for the birth and death certificate to buy items online subscriptions at online retailers I have never heard of.
Initially I signed up for $1.00 each for a birth and death record for a deceased family member for a total of $2. The certificate info was never received, but I did get a text from their organization asking about the “report I ordered” and was redirected to e-mail their customer service.
When I questioned their marketing positioning and that I am a Law Enforcement Officer, who will continue their search through Surrogate Court they quickly cancelled my “subscription” that I never agreed to. A few days later the credit card I used for the birth and death certificate was noted with multiple fraudulent online purchases.

Don't believe anything they promise. It is all a lie and a SCAM to take your money.
publicrecords.us.org/courttrecords.us.org is quite the SCAM. All I wanted was 1 Marriage Certificate. After the $1 they said they could not provide a copy of my marriage certificate. So, I went to one of the links they suggested based on the fact they said they would reimburse me. "we will reimburse any extra fees you incur." (see below).
So, I got all of the information they requested and then they said they had already reimbursed me $18.95 because I signed up for the volume discount. Now, why would I do that when I only wanted 1 document?
So, now because my account is closed they cannot reimburse me, even when they asked for my home address for where to send the check to.
Wish I would have investigated before. It looks like many people also have the same complaints.
Now, I'm out a total of $31.50 when I could have gone directly to the court house and gotten a copy much cheaper. I think they are probably getting a 'kick-back' from this additional monies.

Emailed Karmen CS Manager and was told they have already refunded the $18.95 (which I never wanted and never saw the charge or refund) and now my account is closed they can't reimburse me my full amount. I gave them my address, don't know why they can't send a check in the mail me? As they promised to "reimburse any extra fees you incur". I also plan to file a complaint with the BBB as well. Don't make promises you can't or won't keep or with "requirements" not listed up front. This is a bad Business Policy and poor Customer Service.

This is the same type website operated by Josh Fraser as seen in previous reviews. This website claims to charge you one dollar but through devious actions, ends up charging you over 20 dollars per month, totalling close to 200 dollars before finally stopping. Josh Fraser is the contact for over 117 different websites, all operating in the same way. See the reviews on vehiclehistory.com on here to get an idea of how Josh Fraser's customer service really works.
When accessing this site and typing a name in their search engine. Did you know that there are 75 Scammy McScampants in Alabama according to this websites records? Considering every other legitimate search engine contains 0 results in the entire US for that name, this tips me off that this is yet another scam site.
