About Protect America

Protect America, found online at, is a home security systems provider who says their goal is to give homeowners everything they need to protect their home at an affordable price.

How Does It Work?

According to the Protect America website, other home security providers only give their customers two sensors to protect the entirety of their home, and expect homeowners to pay out of pocket for all remaining sensors they need to truly protect their home.

This company, on the other hand, promises that they will work with their homeowners to customer a security solution that meets all their personal needs. Once you speak with a representative and determine your personal needs, your security system will be hand built in Austin, Texas and sent directly to your home.

Once your system arrives, you should be able to completely install it on your own, within minutes, without a professional installation provider or having to drill into any of your walls. The system will arrive pre-programmed so it is ready to work directly out of the box.

All alarm systems will have the ability to detect break-ins, smoke, and fire monitoring and come with free equipment and no installation fees.

Cost/Price Plans

All their packages include a Control Panel, a single Motion Detector, a sign for your yard, and multiple window decals. The main difference between the pre-arranged packages are the number of door and window sensors that are a part of your included equipment.

The smallest package is the Copper Package at $19.99 per month and it includes three sensors, while their most popular package is the Silver Package for $37.99 per month and includes nine sensors. The largest home security package is the Platinum Package, which costs $42.99 per month and includes fourteen sensors. The website also points out that their most expensive package is the same price as ADT's cheapest package, and it includes more than twice the free equipment.

Protect America includes other packages as well, including one designed specifically for businesses which begins at $46.99 per month, and security systems which are designed to work for homes that have already been hardwired for a built in system. At the end of the day, customers will need to contact their Customer Service team to see what the best option is for them.
